Frustrating experience with Johals for not returned my 1100£ deposit and it's been more then a year. They are saying landlord has rejected to return the deposit.So I am going for legal advice. When we moved in the property there were a lot off work to do in the garden there were rubbish we paid to clean it. There were one tree in the garden inside and outside garden also had one. We got all the pictures and a video too as a proof. Within few months they want us to leave the property because landlord has sold this property. How could you even think within few months a person can move to other property (lot of search, like, requirements fulfilment then a person decide to move in a new property). Though we had a proper property agreement. That all mess caused me stressed coz I had call my wife from India that's why I have rented that property. Hope to see you in the court coz JLA said landlord take me to the court. I been waiting for my deposit and it's been more than a year. I will not leave this big amount which I have earned after so much hard work.

It almost felt like it was untrue, this was comparing it to the other engagements I have had in the past with untimely agents, little information and little clarity provided. Aryan was very helpful during the viewing and his knowledge of the house gave me all I needed to make an informed decision. Do not recommend Johal’s. Me & my partner rented a property for over 2 years. From the word go, the property was falling apart. Found out from a neighbour that they managed to get the old tenants out of the property, clear the mess (and it was a mess I was told!) and move me and my partner within 2 weeks. After countless reports on the portal, problems only ever got looked at and never actually rectified. Roof tiles were falling apart which were causing a waterfall in the main bedroom causing damage to my belongings and water around the plug sockets! Bathroom leaked and caused multiple floods and damage to the kitchen ceiling because of the pipes and again no sense of urgency. Mould was all over the house causing my partner asthma to play up which I had to clean myself whilst I was pregnant due to no ventilation and was told a vent would be put in which it never was. After every inspection, due to the high turnaround of staff, we constantly had to explain the issues to the new inspector and got told they would sort it and were quick to bad mouth the previous inspectors/staff to us and which still nothing would get done! We chased for a contract on multiple occasions which we never got an answer for as we kept getting told the were waiting for the landlord. I couldn’t possibly write down all the faults as it would be a never-ending list but to top it off, due to all the damage caused by “us”, we won’t be getting our deposit back even though we were advised to re do all problems through the portal as they said they have no record! Luckily, I have kept every bit of evidence of all the portals so I will be claiming. Stay away from this estate agents if you like to live stress & damage free! Only giving one star because I have to. Please avoid

The stress of moving is so much and the housing market even more confusing. Out experience with JLA proparties was first class. We were welcomed by Aman and Manisha. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO JOHALS LETTING AGENTS. I would give 0 stars if I could, but that's not possible. I also don't usually do public reviews, so this says a lot. We had a brief tenancy with JLA. There were multiple concerns with the property we were renting that we raised with JLA. Instead of working with us to find solutions, they simply gaslighted or ignored our concerns. It took a billion e-mails/phone calls to escape their horrible service; in the end, we did, and now we're happier. 2 months of absolute stress, disappointment, terrible living conditions. I won't be surprised if this review disappears as I've noticed multiple other honest reviews disappear mysteriously.

I had an absolutely dreadful experience with JLA Properties. They are the epitome of unprofessionalism. The staff clearly lacks basic communication skills, coming off as both rude and completely uninformed. Their interactions are nothing short of disrespectful and offensive. To make matters worse, their dishonesty is appalling. They consistently lied about key details and failed to deliver on their promises. Integrity is evidently a foreign concept to them. If you're looking for a company that values respect and professionalism, steer clear of JLA Properties. They are, without a doubt, the worst in the business.

Johals is a very respectable company with hardworking agents and staff members. They handle their clients in a proffesional manner according to their sitation. I am very pleased when I met their team when I came down last month to look for some property around Leicester. We have recently let our house in Oadby through Johals. The whole process was smooth and hassle free. Suman was brilliant from the very beginning. She took nice photos and presented the property well. She was also there for all the viewings. Always punctual. The rent we are receiving is reasonable. All documents were exchanged and signed electronically. The inventory was thorough and electronic. We are going for fully managed and their fees are competitive. The only problem is that they missed the water meter reading and I had to sort that out. Obtaining the final water meter reading was difficult as the whole meter was submerged. Post rental service is good till now. They had sent all the necessary information to the council who mislaid it and kept on charging us council tax. Of course it's not Johals' fault. Georgina from post rental team is quick to respond. I highly recommend Johals as letting agents.
