GoogleI’ve had such a positive experience thanks to Rhianne. She has been incredibly helpful, supportive, and responsive throughout the whole process of rebooking my room, which made what could have been a really stressful situation feel so much easier.
She also handled a previous noise complaint for me really well, and anytime I’ve reported something that needed fixing, it’s been sorted quickly and efficiently, which I really appreciate.
Rhianne has been kind, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. Thank you so much again for all your support!

GoogleMy experience in living in the studio with hive is great, there are just two things I'm not really happy with, one is that there's not a vacuum and mostly often the washing machines aren't working but with the machines is not the hive problem. There is a great woman, Rhianne, who is always there when you need any help, and she responses to emails very quickly what for me, was really important. She is a really great and warm person, that can solve every problem. Rhianne helped me, when I was struggling with the guarantor and thanks to her, I can live in a beautiful, big studio close to the city center.

GoogleWould give zero stars if it were possible. Possibly the worst customer service experience ever. Manager was unwilling to talk directly to me to hear my concerns. Lost my deposit, but a small price to pay for not having to deal with such an amateurish outfit. Even after stopping dealing with them my son received a threatening email regarding rent arrears. I called to speak to Tom, who could not have cared less if he tried. It's just a mistake that your son is on the email address list. Looks like a licence to print money from unsuspecting students for unscrupulous landlords. AVOID!!!

We have looked into your account and found you only got to the applicant stage. You withdrew from your application on your own accord and therefore lost your reservation fee.

GoogleI rented from Lettings 4 students for the duration of my PhD (5 years) and having read some of the shocking reviews left by previous tenants I have to say I strongly disagree with the comments made.
I stayed at 17 DeMontfort Street where I spent a year in one flat and moved to another within the same building where I spent the remaining 4 years. The flats were perfect for students with adequate study space and a lovely kitchen and bathroom. I was never charged any additional charges, repairs were completed on a logical, priority basis e.g light bulbs took longer for someone to come and replace them but on the one occasion where my toilet randomly wouldn't flush the plumber was there within 24 hours to sort it out!
I spoke mainly with Rhianne, Shiam and Nikesh from the team and always received the friendliest reception from them.
Completing a PhD is already a stressful enough experience but I have to thank the guys at Lettings 4 Students for keeping the accommodation side stress-free for me!

GoogleLuxurious accomodation for an affordable price
I'm so happy I found this accomodation. Lived in a studio of Western Boulevard for a year and literally cannot complain about anything. The size of the studio, unlike other studios for student, is simply impressive, making it an super comfortable for students. The staff are supper kind and considerate and they get back to you quickly if you have questions. The location is also perfect as the uni and a Tesco is super close by. I really enjoyed living here.

GoogleThis is the Second year accommodation i lived. First year i live in 17 De Montfort street is quiet good place the same agent ,But when i move to 14 west walk Bad experience in here.Noise students who have party every week,, the agent will take Strangers to your flat every week,Sometimes When you come back to your place you will find a lot of strangers with the agent in your flat ,They are viewing your flat your every shoes or bags are showing to them, and i here they some people discuss my bags. That is really not a private place.I pay the same price as other people paid,I don't think you should review my flat .Then i begin to reject the agent with their potential tenants come to my flat. But before that really disturbed me. And everyone should reject it If your payment is not for an accessible studio. They shouldn't take potential tenants to your flat,If that happened if you saw my comment,Reject them immediately.I bear it at least 3 months. If you know it you don't need bear it at all.

Hi Zhou. Our policy is to give tenant 24 hours notice before accessing the property for a viewing. We have checked your account and noticed that despite giving you this notice there was still a problem. We are a business and viewings are very busy between November and March so we need to access flats to show prospective tenants. As for the noise, we have no records of you reporting this, if we were informed then we could have spoken to tenants on your behalf.

GoogleHad a lovely experience living in a property managed by hive on West Walk. Had a few issues which were resolved quickly and professionally. Rhianne was extremely helpful on several occasions. There was only issue I had which I feel could be looked into as a potential of making these even more comfortable. During the summer months, the studio would become stifling hot despite having a fan and I found it very hard to cool down. With only one window that opened it didn't allow the room to the breathe or air to flow. Perhaps installing some kind of air conditioning or looking into having more than one window that can be opened in the studios would be an advantage but over all pleasant stay and really loved it and was actually sad to leave.

GoogleHonestly can’t fault The Student Hive! It’s been a really solid place to live, chill atmosphere, great location, and the team is always helpful. Rhianne especially has been amazing, super approachable and always happy to help with anything, big or small.
I’ve seen some of the 1-star reviews floating around and honestly, I’ve had the complete opposite experience. Everything’s been really clear and transparent, especially when it comes to pricing. I know the place is under new management now, and it definitely shows. Booking, payments, and even maintenance requests are all handled through the student portal, and it’s been really smooth and efficient.
Would definitely recommend if you want somewhere easy and well-managed while at uni.

GoogleVery poor service, staff are rude especially Shiam. Wifi is poor. They are just in this for money and don't care about students at all. Be prepared for additional charges when you leave. Also promised me carpark space at triple the price and after I signed the contract, they said its not available.

HI there. We have looked into your account and noticed that rental payment were always a problem. Our staff do not mean to be rude however from a commercial point of view when promised payments are not made it will cause anyone to become wary and use different ways of communication to ensure accounts are kept up to date. According to the rest of your google reviews it seems you're not a very happy puppy in the general walk of life.

GoogleA student must!! if you are a student looking to study in Leicester, this is the best student accommodation you will find. They made the entire process simple and easy all while I was in another country.
The staff is super friendly and if you are considering 8 west walk, the space is absolutely stunning and modern, as it is newly renovated, unlike many other student housing. Super close walk to both Universities and close to town, grocery shops and restaurants
The staff answered all my questions both over the phone and email and would ensure to always contact me about important information. Toni was always helpful, the student hive definitely makes it easy for student to simply book, even without a viewing-which was in my case.

GoogleI stayed for a year at the Pannell House and the room was very spacious and well maintained. I didn’t have any major issues throughout my stay but Rhianne and her colleague were always very nice and helpful. I was using all the facilities downstairs (gym, cinema room etc) often without a problem. I highly recommend this accommodation :)

GoogleI have lived in one of the studio flats for nearly 2 years and I have been thoroughly satisfied. It would be unrealistic to assume nothing would ever go wrong but whenever there is an issue, communication between Lettings 4 Students and myself has always been fast, professional and positive. Whether I've contacted by phone or email, I am always responded to swiftly and the matters are dealt with within a reasonable time wherever possible with the staff always being kind and courteous.
The flat was the best accommodation I viewed in the vicinity for size, facilities and space. The rent price is what you would expect for living very close to the city centre and University and for the size of the flat. I didn't even consider moving for my final year of studies, I definitely wanted to rebook the same accommodation as I enjoy living here.
Overall, I would (and have) recommend Lettings 4 Students to anyone who is looking for a quality studio flat that is in a great location.

GoogleMy recent experiences with Hive have been nothing but positive. In the lead up to me moving in, the team were responsive and helpful when dealing with all my requests about the property. They allowed for extra viewings and when I moved in the apartment was perfectly clean.
Siam Dattani was especially helpful when an issue arose around direct debtis from my bank. Would highly recommend them!

GoogleRobbed. This Accomodation have been avoiding my calls and emails after the landlord has tried to rob me and my flatmate of £250 each. He used pictures from a completely different accommodation and claimed it was ours and Hive sent it personally to me! You would have thought they would know their own properties?
Well ever since I pointed that out I can no longer get through to them… robbing 2 university students who are already in debt. Good job guys. I expect to hear back soon (it’s already been 5 months!)

GoogleI have been living on 14 West Walk for the past year and I couldn’t have had a better experience. The studio flat is lovely and the service has been really good. The office always respond to any questions that I have and the maintenance team respond really fast. The building and area are really safe and close to the University of Leicester. Would recommend this company for any student living here and I am looking forward to staying at 14 West Walk for my final year at uni.

GoogleLovely employees but incredibly slow to fix anything in the flat that went wrong (not due to our fault). All the "maintenance" that they do eventually get fixed is done to a really bad standard and very messy. Also, get ready for hefty charges for unreasonable "damages" when trying to get your deposit back. We were also charged £35 every time our faulty fire alarm went off. They also take £50 just for using deposit protection service so 1/5 of your deposit goes at once, ridiculous. Would not go to them again CODE, Newark halls, Victoria halls and Liberty Park in Leicester for students are wayyy better.

Hi Harriet
We are sorry to hear you are disappointed with our services. Our charges for end of tenancy damages and cleaning are all issued in welcome packs for tenants to show transparency, they were also emailed to you several weeks prior to vacating along with a cleaning guide in order to help you. In the event of fire alarm activation out of office hours there is a charge of £35.00 for security to attend and this is the charge which is billed to us, there is no profit made on this element, we are simply providing a service to comply with legislation and your own health and safety. The charges for deposit returns are £25.00 per deposit due to the level of admin work involved with using The Deposit Protection Service. These fees and security call our charges were clearly written in your tenancy agreement. If you wish to discuss anything in greater detail please call the office and we will be happy to help.

GoogleThe single worst living experience of my life in the 4 years I've spent at University. This company charges you for ludicrous things they don't explain til much later down the line, or just straight up weasel their way to take more money from you. I for example was charged over £300 for refurbishment of a room before I had even moved in, in addition to the fact I wasn't even allowed to move in after I'd paid the summer rent. And once I had moved in, there was a Spider nest waiting in my shower for me.
The cleaners and repairmen they hire for refurbishment are shoddy. The oven we had to replace the previous one (that was broken before moving in mind you) broke seconds after installation, as well as lighting fixtures in the hallway that, after chasing up on them multiple times for replacements, remained broken until the final semester of the year.
And I get it, they're going to take a small fee from the deposit for cleaning. But charging each tenant more than half of their initial deposit for cleaning things that were more than likely left mostly fine is hilarious. Especially when you consider we had cleaners come in to do a lot of this for us in addition to us cleaning ourselves.
If you don't have money to burn, avoid this company at all costs. They don't deserve your business with how shady they are in how they consistently take and take from it's tenants with no room for leniency, while they provide a terrible standard for repair of appliances within the property.
