TrustpilotUnreliable home support service.
I rented a house through them one year back , agent was fine , initially every thing went well and then I got a phone call from them saying that they they a home assist wing, TILI or some thing?? And they introduced me to a company for internet and electricity , both of these are very costlier than others, which I didn't recognize by then, my internet is with home telecom comparing others they are atleast 30 to 40 percentage costly.I wonder why will.h introduced me to these people.

TrustpilotNot even worth 1 star
Not even worth 1 star, they have advertised our house for nearly 12 months, we have had viewings where people have come to the house only to find out whb have advertised the house at one time £50000 less than we asked, and today at £25000 less than we asked, Jessie who is the "senior sales" is rude, unhelpful, talks over you won't listen, and blames everything on us, absolute diabolical , my wife assures me that she didnt drop the price but "jessie " is adamant we did, Rude , incompetent and useless about sums them up, think twice before using them

TrustpilotTenancy service
I have been in touch with Sequence the home tenancy team that are there to make sure all runs smoothly. Since moving into my house 1 month ago, I have yet to have a washing machine. I reported it and have had to chase, chase and chase again to get an answer about what is happening. When calling, I always ask for someone to give me feedback but that doesn't happen. Would not recommend this service at all.

TrustpilotDo not sell with WHBrown
I asked WHBrown to remove my property from the market within the 14 day cancellation period, that was 2 months ago and I am still waiting for it to be removed despite having emailed and called more times than I can remember. The reason for wanting to take my property off the market is because they did an awful job with the advert and after I kept asking them to change stuff they either didn't do it or only changed 5% of what I asked. The pictures are bad and floor plan isn't 100% correct. Once you sign that contract they basically don't want anything to do with you.

TrustpilotAppalling & unlawful practice
I wish I had read other reviews before renting from them. They tried to deceive me, blame me for their errors and sent threatening emails asking me to take the financial burden for their remarkable lack of professionalism and unlawful practice. They messed up my contract, which they acknowledged in writing, however afterwards they refused that they did so. I ended up seeking legal advice to ensure protection of my rights as a customer and as it seems they conducted several legal violations. I believe this company should be seriously investigated. No one, landlord or tenant should go through the financial and emotional distress I went through because of their misconduct.

TrustpilotThe agent assigned to us was creepy...
The agent assigned to us was creepy and aggressive. When we first went to look at properties he asked if we’d agree to sit in our car to talk while avoiding the rain. He then led us to HIS car (one with no back doors) and essentially trapped us there while we signed the papers. When we raised questions he went into a long, uninterruptible spiel about how William H Brown are different to other estate agents because they deal with ‘people like us’ and how if we didn’t accept this offer we could end up in a situation where we had to abandon our pets (?). He then proceeded to call me (and not my male partner) constantly during work hours, trapping me in conversation for half hours at a time and trying to upsell insurance.I seriously hope that this is not behaviour encouraged by the company, and once we are moved in I plan to make a formal complaint.

TrustpilotTHEY ONLY CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY NOT YOU
The agency doesn't care about you or your financial problems. Especially if you're not British, they will always call you to pay the rent (if something unexpected happens) every day depsite if you got studies or work even though they can see clearly you've always been paying the rent. Doesn't bother to fix anything. Horrible attitude and clearly talks with you as if you are an dumb immigrant. Continuous attempt to trespass to your property because "they can" even thought by law they need to get tenants permission to do so or at least warn about the visit day before not couple hours beforehand. This agency hasn't attempted to fix anything and if you try mention how it took 4-6years to "fix" the walls, replace carpet in the kitchen with an actual wooden floor, they will say "no excuses will prevent you from paying the rent" or "not our problem sorry". Basically for the amount of money you pay for the rent you won't get anything in return because that's how greedy they are.Stop mistreating people from EU. Stop being a racist, dysfunctional agency and get a grip that some people get financial issues. Don't just ignore us with your pathetic attitude. You are a greedy, scummy agency that does not deserve to be distributed across UK.

GoogleAs a first time buyer, I cannot thank the team at WH Brown enough for their support and guidance. Both Laura and Melissa have been unbelievably supportive, keeping me updated and informing me about each step of the process. On completion, it felt very much like both were genuinely thrilled for me, and it’s that kind of sincerity anyone would hope for in looking for an estate agent. They worked tirelessly to help move the process along, and I’m very grateful.

TrustpilotWilliam h brown - Barking
Saw the estate agents mentioned in an evening standard article about affordable London property and googled the office. Was difficult to find parking but tube was close. Got shown 4 properties which matched our criteria and budget and ended up bidding and buying the 2nd one. Initially dealt with the manager Geoff, but Luke did almost all our legwork. They were really friendly and their advice turned out to be the best we had, helping us to buy within budget.

If I could rate our experience with this estate agency in Lincolnshire, it would have to be -0, they never answer their phones or any messages left on their answerphones .... to date after 3 days we have still not received a phone call from them re booking some viewings...luckily we found another agent in the area who were very good and who we bought our home from ...

TrustpilotDo not use this company
Do not use this company! The list why would be too long, but they would include: rarely return a call; lost my front door key after saying they didn't have one (it was found later, in a drawer in the office); asked if the letting was going OK and would I think of selling - it WAS with them for sale; moved to a different office and they at first insisted on a new contract, later agreeing that this was an error on their part; only one viewing (that WE had to arrange!) over a 15 month period; decided to withdraw from them and a month has gone but they still haven't collected their sign - phoned and emailed but no return of communication. Basically, an incompetent company who seem not to care at all about 'service'. Avoid like the plague.

TrustpilotWilliam H Brown Estate Agents
William H Brown Estate Agents, a place that that lies at your face.... In my case, stating that there is a phone line in the building you are about to rent and when you move in you discover that there are no phone cables at al............. you make your own conclusions.A place that leaves you with a blocked fire exit for over a month. Maybeeeee they will fix it after the visit of a Fire Officer....A place that recommends you to leave your rubbish rotten in a room in the building corridors for over a week, and that charges you if having some not "domestic" rubbish.....It is not my case, but there are comments in the Sequence UK Facebook page about problems in getting the deposit back. More than one. I hope it won't be my case....

TrustpilotThis has been severely delayed by illness but has to be said
This has been severely delayed (by a year) but still needs to be said.I would like to congratulate you on the more than excellent service we have received from all of the team at the Kelvedon branch of William H Brown, none more so than the Manager, Spencer Barlett. We were going to use an online estate agent and save a considerable amount until Spencer came round to see us. He convinced us that his service was a better way forward and thankfully in retrospect we agreed albeit doubting that the much higher cost was worth it.We had solar panels on our roof under a rent a roof scheme and this proved to be a very difficult obstacle to overcome. Spencer has taken all of the multiple curved balls these have thrown with utter professionalism. He has remained honest with us at all times and offer a solution for us to agree to. I do not feel that he would have spent more time with a client had their house been four times the value of ours. All of his team have also given an excellent service to us along with the same welcoming greeting to phone calls or office visits and we have never been made to feel either like an unwelcome interruption or worse a money machine.

Trustpilotarranged to meet someone from William H…
arranged to meet someone from William H Brown to view a property. The experience has put me off and i feel sorry for the seller because they are not doing their best for that customer. The man who met us didn't even introduce himself. He just unlocked the door and we went in. He knew absolutely nothing about the property when we asked him questions and didn't know which garage belonged to the property. My husband and i agreed that his whole demeanor was like he couldn't be bothered and didn't want to be there. No one has bothered phoning us to ask how the viewing went either. Very poor.

WARNING ⚠️ DO NOT USE We placed our house on the market with these in 2017 we didn’t have one viewer and they were not interested in selling our house. We unwittingly signed a sole agent contract and didn’t know anything about it after being pressured into signing. When we told them we didn’t want them to market our house anymore they sent us letters from Connell solicitors demanding we paid them over £2000. Now 18 months after they are still demanding £2000 for something they never did.

TrustpilotDon’t do it!
Don’t do it! One of the worst agents I have ever used! They charge high commission and tie you in for 5 months! But fail to mention that at sign up. One member of staff was very rude in her manner. They don’t ring you to keep you updated, most other agents ring you weekly with an update, not them. I didn’t hear for 3 weeks and I had to constantly ring them. They have staff with little experience in selling houses. My advice go with someone else!

TrustpilotDisgusting con artists!!
Disgusting con artists!!! Constantly harassing you to use their very expensive mortgage advisors and if you dont use theirs you ARE NOT even getting a look in. We turned them down 6 or 7 times and everytime we phoned up to arrange a viewing or with any queries we had been "archived" so nobody could find us even though we are still actively looking for a house. We had no contact no property alerts we have been waiting 3 weeks for someone to respond to us after we asked for a viewing numerous times, the one property we did actually get to view through them we arrived at the property and they did not even know we were coming. They tell you everything you wantvtonhear and then tell the sellers completeley different things to make them sell to the ones who have used their expensive mortgage advisor.Very un professional!!!!! DO NOT USE even if u like the house just look elsewhere.

TrustpilotUNPROFESSIONAL
They advertised a house for rent on the Second Week of May and they made us want to pay extra charges and insurances. Basically they wanted to charge us for everything. (I think if they could charge us of breathing they would) So UNPROFESSIONAL and every single time you ask them about your tenancy agreement and any updates they will answer you. “I WILL GET BACK WITH YOU LATER” “I’M CALLING THE LANDLORD.” such a waste of time, money, and energy.

TrustpilotAwful Lettings company with no customer service skills
Took me 4 phone calls to arrange a check out when I left a property and then I was told that a quick email to sequence and I would get our deposit back. Totally misleading as there is an entire process to go through. This agency has no care for their tenants - you are Purely a number. They are flippant on the phone and do not pass on messages. I took keys back and passed on the burglar alarm code. The next day I get a call asking what the code is as the check out guy has set it off!! Hopeless - avoid if possible

TrustpilotDishonest, arrogant, rude and unprofessional!!
Dishonest, arrogant and rude. Do not attempt to sell via the Welwyn Garden City branch. They will waste 6 weeks of your time with your house removed from the market for a buyer that hadn’t even provided sufficient I.D!! (Something I would have expected to have been done before the gentleman in question was allowed to place offers and demand the house was removed from the market and further viewings cancelled) -which I did in good faith.Grant the manager at WGC takes on average 4 days to respond to emails when asking for simple updates. He fobbed me off with ‘the buyers solicitors are waiting for draft contracts’ when in fact my solicitor hadn’t received anything from either WHB or the buyers solicitors. How can a solicitor draft a contract without even a name? So this was a lie to keep me quiet for a few more days! Viewings always shoddy... Lights left on, sofa sat on, my fridge/freezer had even been turned off and started to defrost by the time I’d got home. Not the service I expect when paying over 3grand in fees. The disappointing part is Grant knew how disappointed I had been with my previous agent, he promised I’d receive a better service from himself and his team at WHB.I now need to add that Grant (branch manager) instead of acting professionally and apologising, is instead going around town bad mouthing me and asking people who know me on a personal level to have me take down this review. I find this highly insulting, unprofessional and inappropriate. As a manager he should be aware this against any code of conduct and client confidentiality.Head office are now aware of this poor management and disappointing practise.
