Luke at Redbrick Properties has been absolutely brilliant. He’s incredibly helpful, responsive and proactive whenever anything needs sorting in the house. Since he’s been looking after the property, he’s helped organise new sofas, curtains, a TV, new kitchen flooring and, most recently, a new hoover. The house genuinely feels completely refreshed. What’s impressed me most is how quickly he gets things done. I mentioned needing new curtains and a hoover, and both had been delivered before I’d even got home from work that day! Luke is also really personable and easy to deal with, and nothing ever feels like too much trouble. Really appreciate everything he’s done for us and couldn’t recommend him enough. Thanks Luke!!

I honestly can't thank Redbrick Properties enough. I was quite anxious about moving, but they've made the whole process so much easier than I expected. It's by far the smoothest move I've had in over five years of renting. When I arrived, the house was spotless, and it's clear how much hard work had gone into getting everything ready. Everyone I met, from the cleaners and decorators to the rest of the team, was so friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about doing a good job. After some really poor experiences with previous letting agencies, it was such a refreshing change to see things being done properly and so quickly. I can honestly rate this as the best viewing experience I have had in my entire (quite extended) renting history. Ryan Armitage from Redbrick Properties handled the viewing with such passion, patience, friendliness, evident support and genuine understanding that has distinguished him by far from any other lettings negotiator I have ever had. He was well prepared and well informed with regards to the property and even took time to point me to the roads leading into town when I mentioned I did not drive. I came once on my own and once with a friend and had a delightful experience both times. Coincidentally, I had a viewing negotiator from Redbrick Proerties about five years ago who was also called Ryan and was also very good but this Ryan is off the charts. Just who you need when you are anxiously looking for a new place to call home. I would highly and readily recommend Redbrick Properties above any other.

Here’s an honest review for students or recent graduates considering shared housing with this agency. At first glance, they appear reliable. The houses are generally clean, spacious, and well-maintained. In some cases, amenities and maintenance support are also decent. That’s the surface-level experience. The real issue lies in how their contracts are structured. They do not offer individual tenancy agreements. Instead, they use joint contracts, meaning your name is legally tied to other tenants you may not know or trust. In a shared housing setup, especially in a foreign country, this is a serious risk. The contract itself is written in a way that heavily protects the agency while leaving tenants exposed. The language is complex and ambiguous, and over time, you may find yourself held accountable for situations completely outside your control. For example: - If a housemate leaves the country without notice, you can be held responsible for their rent - If someone behaves irresponsibly in the house, there is no individual protection for you - Decisions can effectively be controlled by a “lead tenant,” creating an imbalanced dynamic rather than a fair agreement There is also a £150 charge for tenancy replacement, which is a significant portion of the deposit. In our case, housemates left unexpectedly, and despite it not being our fault, the joint contract made us financially liable. Situations like this create unnecessary stress and financial burden, especially for people already navigating life in a new country. There were cases where people were irresponsible enough to take away or discard their own belongings while vacating, that the onus and the financial toll for that fell upon the last person leaving the house. To be clear, this setup might work if you are renting alone. But for shared housing, the risks outweigh the benefits. If you value stability and peace of mind, it’s worth exploring other agencies that offer individual contracts and better tenant protection.
