GoogleI'll say up front that Pear weren't the estate agent instructed by me, but rather managed a property that I purchased.
Pear, during our viewings, advised that a damaged piece of floor would be repaired ahead of our move if we purchased the property. This was not done. In hindsight, I should have got this in writing.
The previous owners left a large American style Fridge freezer in our new kitchen which we'd specifically said we did not want to keep and that the property should be vacant upon completion. Pear essentially refused to help remedy this, advising 'the vendors had washed their hands of the property and they wouldn't discuss it further'.
In addition, when the solicitors weren't performing their duties quickly or with good communication, Pear made this my problem, contacting me and asking me to chase up other parties, rather than doing this themselves.
In putting two stars here as in general, Pear's own communication was fine and I'm sure their client was happy with their involvement, but as a buyer of one of their properties, they didn't provide a good experience and have actually left us out of pocket.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, Liam. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that aspects of your purchase experience left you feeling disappointed, and we appreciate the opportunity to respond.
Firstly, although we were acting on behalf of the seller rather than yourself, we always aim to make the process as smooth as possible for all parties. Regarding the flooring repair, we can certainly understand your frustration. Any works agreed prior to completion ultimately fall under the seller’s responsibility, and unfortunately we are not in control of what a previous owner agrees to do but does not fulfil. We do always recommend that buyers ensure any agreed items are confirmed in writing through solicitors so they form part of the legal contract.
In relation to the fridge freezer being left behind, once completion has taken place the property legally transfers ownership and any remaining items become a matter between buyer and seller. We did try to raise this, but as you mentioned, the vendors confirmed they would not be taking further action, which limited what we were able to enforce after completion.
With solicitors, we appreciate delays can be stressful and we too share your frustration. When we suggested you contact them directly, it was purely because we had attempted to contact them on numerous occasions but tend to find that they can be more responsive to their own paying client and this often helps move things along faster.
We’re pleased you felt our communication was good overall, but we are sorry that parts of the process did not meet your expectations. We do take feedback seriously and will continue striving to improve the experience for everyone involved in a transaction. We wish you all the best in your new home. 🍐

GoogleReally disappointed with this company. I agreed to purchase a property. Days before we had been due to exchange I found out the seller was changing property. I only heard this from my solicitor and heard nothing from the agent. I then had to chase for days to get any update. After agreeing to continue I asked on dates for various bits. Communication was non existent. I therefore found a different property with a different agent. It took 32 days from my last email for any contact from pear properties. This only happened as my solicitor informed the agent I was now agreed on a new property. When pear properties eventually rang me there was no apology and no care that they had lost a sale. I work in customer service and would have been absolutely fine with a delay. Knowing this was not the agents fault. But to have no communication in so long is unacceptable. I have purchased several properties over the last fews years and highly recommend good agents. I advise everyone to steer clear of pear properties.
