There were a number of occasions where we had to contact them as they had not done what they had said they would do. This started early on with them not marketing the property in the way that they had told us that they would when tendering for the role. This should have been a warning sign. Whenever challenged about discrepancies or a lack of transparency/communication, we were consistently provided with what felt like a taught response of "it is not helpful to go over what has gone on previously and we should concentrate on moving forward positively", with zero concession that they may have done anything wrong or acted less than professionally. This "standard" response came from a number of staff at the branch and it felt like a policy. However, in practice, it leads to profound and unnecessary sense of frustration. There are oversights, we are only human, but to deny all or any wrong doing is simply irritating. There was also always the feeling that they were always considering their own interests first rather than that of the client or our buyer. This combined with what seemed like an unwillingness to take a proactive response until forced by a deadline, a lack of genuine empathy and an ambivalence to the human emotions of the parties involved, even at the point of completion with the bear minimum of a congratulation, left us feeling exploited. However, our property was sold and we did manage to move so it would be unreasonable to score a 1 star but I would struggle to recommend the service.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Gary Evans and has team have dealt with a sale for us for approaching a year. Through no fault of their own, an initial sale fell through, a new buyer was found very quickly and the sale has now exchanged. Throughout a sometimes stressful transaction, Gary and his team stayed in touch, helped to overcome issues caused by solicitors, mortgage brokers and other agents, and were always available by phone and email. Karlie Davis became involved at a later stage and was equally fantastic; the sale would not have exchanged at 5pm on the Friday if it wasn’t for her help. Had probably the worst experience I have ever had with estate agents, made a viewing to see a property listed with them, firstly spoke to a woman who told me she would email me back re a viewing time, and never got back to me so I called again speaking to a gentleman who booked me in, great, very excited to see the property, turned up to be told there was no parking that came with property despite it being on a private road, then before we stepped inside thankfully, the agent told us, it WAS NOT mortgageable!!!! I'm sorry, What? At this point, we left. Pretty large detail to leave out on the phone when I was booking in. Disgusting customer service, complete waste of our time.NegativeProfessionalism
