Unfortunately I had a leak at my flat which I let out through Dexters. Monika has been incredibly efficient in resolving this - chasing the managing agent to find the cause of the leak, following up and arranging for it to be fixed and then looking into redecoration which needs to be claimed on the buildings insurance, as well as liaising with and reassuring the tenant and keeping me informed. She has been a pleasure to deal with and I am really impressed by her efficiency, reliability and tenacity.

Recently I had an issue with an appliance at one of my rented properties, Nabil Subhani dealt with back and forth between his maintenance team, the tenant, the insurance company and directly with me. In all the time. Dealing with the matter, Nabil was responsive to all matters in an extremely efficient and timely way. His communication was clear and to the point and the matter was progressed efficiently despite the fact that that too many people were involved he stayed at the centre of communicating with all parties concerned.

I had a great experience with Robert Lynch at Dexters. He has been extremely helpful and after an initial quick response has remained proactive throughout the entire process. After a signed up with Dexters, within a very short time Robert had reached out with several options suited to my rather unique search criteria and offered his advice, finding me the perfect house very quickly. He supported me through the referencing process (which for me was rather confusing and daunting as a new tenant) and kept in regular contact throughout, all the way to picking up the keys. Even after moving in, he kept in touch and came round on the day I moved in to ensure that everything has been smooth. I had a small teething issue with Robert sorted the same day. Really impressed. I would definitely recommend Robert Lynch and Dexters.

Proactive communication and empathy

Proactive communication, empathy and transparency are three core values I have seen demonstrated at Dexters. I have rented a home through them for nearly two years, and they have stood out as property managers that actually care. Most recently, Daragh Power has impressed me with their kindness and genuine care. I had two requests of the landlord, one that would require a change to my contact, and Daragh was AMAZING at listening to my needs, understanding the time sensitivity and following up with the landlord when we didn’t receive a response right away. They could have deprioritised my concerns or have gotten upset with my persistence but instead they understood where I was coming from and really advocated for me. This is exactly what one would want from a property manager, but is something I find is rare, especially in a ‘landlord market.’ Daragh communicated professionally throughout and made the entire process stress free. I wouldn’t choose another property manager besides Dexters.

Vote for worst estate agency of the year

This review is in particular for Dexter's Lee.If you think all Estate Agents in Lee are the same,then Dexter's Lee is definitely different. very different,in fact they could contend for the worst estate agency in England. I would highly recommend to anyone buying or selling through Dexter's Lee to contact me. The team, and in particular the sales team are money oriented. They will provide all sorts of distorted facts to make you list their property through them and whilst buying ,all sorts of lies without any moral conscience will be told. Their costs are higher than other than other estate agents who provide a far more personal service. This agency strives on the Dexter's brand but having dealt with Dexter's in other parts,I can easily vouch that they are the worst and most unprofessional. Please do your research before listing your property,buying and even thinking of renting out through them. They will completely ignore any of your requests or their duties as long as they can make their commission. As stated I am ready to help and discuss in more detail on why to avoid this agency

---"I had a profoundly disappointing experience with Dexter Lettings Agency in Clapham South. From the outset, the service was lacking in professionalism and transparency. My initial inquiries were met with delayed responses, and when I finally managed to speak to someone, the information provided was often unclear or incomplete.The problems only escalated once I signed the lease. The property was not in the condition promised; there were several maintenance issues that were either ignored or inadequately addressed. Despite numerous attempts to contact the agency for repairs, I received little to no follow-up. The lack of urgency and responsiveness was frustrating and unprofessional.The final blow was the handling of the move-out process. I was charged excessive fees for minor damages that were either pre-existing or were the result of normal wear and tear. The communication during this process was particularly poor; I had difficulty reaching anyone who could provide a satisfactory explanation or resolution.Overall, my experience with Dexter Lettings was marked by poor customer service, lack of accountability, and hidden fees. I would strongly advise prospective tenants to look elsewhere for a more reliable and customer-oriented letting agency. Daniel's customer service is great

Before Daniel F joined the team I struggled a bit with Dexters (hence the 3 stars). Often things would not be done, people wouldn't log when there had been a visit to my flat so more would be booked in and there were lack of updates at times which felt frustrating. However after dealing with Daniel F it feels like things are changing for the better and if I had always dealt with Daniel I would prob give Dexters a 5 star rating. Great customer service, always keeps me informed and gets things moving which I really appreciate!

Managing a poor performing agent to the freeholder

We want to do a particular shout out for Edward Brodkin who helped us through poor service from the freeholder of our flat. The failure by the freeholders agent to repair damage to the roof and guttering led to damage inside the flat and we raised a legal case for damages against the freeholder and their agent. Edward helped us through, managing the relationship with the agent, providing us supporting documents for the legal case and generally offering the support we needed. The settlement was made out of court in December 2025 and we recovered the cost of the damage. Execellent Service and well done Edward.
