I have found my property through Dexters around over 3 years ago. It was a period that I was spending every spare minute I had on meetings with agents and landlords from every agency in west Lndn. After multiple failures I ended up at Dexters where I explained to them the importance of finding the right property for me without being under this ridiculous pressure of placing an offer right there and then... I was treated incredibly well from the agent that unfortunately I don't recall the name of as he took under consideration all my requests and concerns and helped me find the perfect apartment for me. The apartment I was offered by the agency was on a great location with great view among the river and they did manage to get me a reasonable deal with the landlady. During my stay in the property I had to cope with a lot of problems as the building was very old and many things needed to be repaired and highly maintained. For the first two years of my stay the property was managed by a lady who is now working for your office in Clapham, Paula Baptista. Paula was a great support to us as she was always available for us (even during out of office hours), always very polite and discreet and most importantly always giving her 100% to make sure she gets us what we needed to make our stay pleasant. Unfortunately my property is no longer being managed by Paula and if I was to move to a different area and stick with Dexters then Clapham would have been the branch to go with just so I am sure that I will be looked after at all times. Having the right property manager is probably the most important thing you should be looking for whilst house-hunting...

Leanne and James from Dexter have been extremely helpful in terms of sorting out the end of tenancy issues for us. Our overall experience with Dexter as landlords has been very positive over the years. They have always been fast sorting out maintenance issues and securing new tenants for us. I also want to say that our current property manager Paula Baptista has been doing a fantastic job! She always provides good advice and solutions on any issues coming up.

Let down by poor communication within the company

Unfortunately we were let down by this letting agent yesterday. We had a 6pm viewing for a house in Hayes, I drove 1h in rush hour traffic to visit the property and on arriving I was met by the agent who informed me that the locks had been changed that day and his key did not work, so we could not access the property.He was very apologetic and I understand he was also frustrated as he himself had spent 45 minutes travelling to the property.He did offer to rearrange a viewing but I was so disappointed in the lack of organisation (how can it be that locks are changed and the letting agent/property managers are not informed?) and frustrated at the waste of my time and petrol (2 hours round trip) that I will not be using this company going forwards.I would have left 1 star but the letting agent was truly apologetic and did remain professional in the situation.

Paris arranged for the Khinda Building Works Ltd to attend our premises to conduct some repairs. 10/10 for effort at business winning 0/10 for performance!…

We were badgered by Dexter’s for years so decided last summer to instruct them on a letting. They over promised on the rent they could achieve so we missed the window to secure tenants before the autumn. We also then instructed them to sell as we were receiving no rent . They failed to produce a single credible offer on either basis. We instructed Goldschmidts who found a buyer and at a strong price within a matter of weeks. I’m prompted to write today as we received probably the third cold call from Dexters as the old property is now for rent via the new owners . We told Dexters on at least 2 previous occasions that we had sold the property so I wish they could be more efficient/ professional in all they do.
