Customer service is awful beyond words

Customer service is awful beyond words. It's unbelievable that a company which handles people's professional information doesn't have a contact detail to a real person or a reasonably functioning customer service. I asked for an account in my name which I didn't recognise to be closed. They demanded I provide ID verification for my 'main' account. I've done so. They kept sending me a copy and paste email what I need to provide (which I already have). I provided verification for the second time, which they seemed to work. They announced they would be closing my account and closed the case. But haven't told me which account. Fortunately it was in the end the 'spare' one, but the whole process really was not reassuring should a more pressing problem occur.

Terrible platform

Terrible platform. Unable to speak to a person at all, all dodgy AI generated responses to any queries or complaints. Reporting an account for stating false employment information and the reply is that you can only report someone directly associated as an admin on your account. Totally unhelpful and has totally put me off using LinkedIn for my hiring as they clearly dont care about false information so completely untrustworthy.

My partner and myself have rented a property from Windsor court for 18 months and they have been beyond excellent. They have dealt with any breakages or issue within a few hours , every time, including boiler breakage. They care for the tenants and make sure we are warm and safe with all our amenities working . Pleasant and friendly staff who are happy to help . When my partner and i decided to Stay in the Knaresborough area and we decided to buy a property , we were delighted our chosen property was being dealt with by Windsor court. They were equally as excellent to deal with as house buyers. I think whats great about them is they are lovely down to earth people who want their tenants and clients to be happy and ok , so they are far from Jobsworth mentality you can find sometimes. They t made us feel like we were more than a number or a job but people they cared for. Peter and his team are fantastic. This was the first time I had ever let a property. Peter was friendly and extremely informative giving me the information to let the property. Nothing was too much trouble- once on the market to let, a list of prospective tenants and was let within hours. Windsor court certainly know their business. They now manage the property which gives peace of mind. Tracey and Jemma are only a phone call away and nothing is too much trouble. They have made this such an easy process. I very rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Windsor Court was so poor that I feel compelled to warn others. From start to finish, their service was well below an acceptable standard and made renting out my property unnecessarily stressful. The listing photos were taken on a mobile phone rather than by a professional photographer, or even with a decent camera. Several viewings were arranged, but after an early viewing resulted in an offer, Windsor Court cancelled all remaining viewings without consulting me. This decision should have been mine and is a clear example of them choosing the least amount of work rather than the correct course of action. The tenants kept the property in an awful state. When I raised this, I was told “there isn’t much we can do unless they’ve actually broken something, all we can do is try to go after the deposit when they leave” this is an unacceptable attitude for a letting agent paid to manage a property. When another estate agent later visited to value the property, a member of Windsor Court’s staff commented “oh god, not that house” when handing over the keys, showing a complete lack of professionalism and respect. At the end of the tenancy, my deposit claim went to tribunal. Despite the tenants having broken or lost items, I was not awarded as much as I reasonably expected because there was insufficient photographic evidence in the inventory completed by Windsor Court. This directly reflects poor inventory standards and left me financially exposed. Communication throughout was extremely poor. I frequently had to chase repeatedly for responses. Windsor Court’s incompetence, lack of professionalism and laziness caused me unnecessary stress and financial loss. I strongly recommend that people do not use this company.

As a landlord, I’ve had a genuinely excellent experience with Windsor Court Properties in Knaresborough. They’ve been consistently helpful, professional and easy to deal with, handling everything efficiently and taking a lot of the stress out of the process. Communication has been clear and timely, issues are dealt with promptly, and they’ve always been proactive rather than reactive. It’s refreshing to work with an agency that actually does what they say they will and makes life straightforward. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Windsor Court Properties to other landlords looking for a reliable, well organised letting agent.

I have rented my house for 15 years and it is definitely home to me and my son. WCP took over the contract a couple of years ago and I have to say that the service they supply is excellent. I do not have to wait an unnecessary long time to have any issues dealt with. Jemma is courteous, professional and deals with any issues in a timely and proficient manner. They are also very approachable so I do not feel I am reporting anything that is unimportant. When they took over the contract there was an issue with paperwork that had not been kept up to date, including a contract, this was resolved within a coupled of weeks. I would definitely recommend their services.

I have not used Windsor Court Properties' services, but just want to share how kind the gentleman from this company was to me. It was my first day in Knaresborough, and in the early morning there were no taxis available near train station. As the Windsor Court Propwrties is close to rail station, I asked the gentleman working there where I can find a taxi. After giving a call to a taxi company and finding out that there are no available taxis, he gave me a lift! What a kind man! I believe the kindness is one of the determinants of the successful business as well, so I am sure they do a great job! And the fact that the office was open before 9am in small town is another indicator! Thanks a lot!

I`m a first time renter and as such I had a lot of questions popping up in my head, meaning I was bombarding Jemma with emails. She was most helpful every time and I always received an answer promptly. Never for one second I felt I was a problem. How to stop the endless emails…

Just looked at one person with Linkedin and then had endless emails no matter how many times I unsubscribed. I HAVE NO ACCOUNT WITH THEM! They only have my email address somehow. I have requested a data access / deletion request to ask what data they hold on me and to delete it. This should stop it, if not I will escalate to Information Commissioner’s Office

Tak and his team are a unique niche agency who can be entrusted rely trusted to provide a bespoke service, clear communication between tenants and owners, and swiftly arrange repairs efficiently at the drop of hat. They are polite, respectful and diplomatic. As a sales agent, they will go the extra mile to fit buyers with vendors achieving sales because they don’t just market a property, they proactively sell it. They are super efficient and track the sales and letting process reducing void times. I have no hesitation is recommending Windsor Court to tenants, owners and vendors particularly if they are seeking a personal invested relationship with their agent.

I was outraged to see on a recent…

I was outraged to see on a recent statement for one of my credit cards that I had been debited almost £1,000 - it was something like £980.00 for a year's renewal of something called ales Navigator on LinkedIn. I have only ever had a free account with them. I don't run a business, I don't offer or sell my services for anything - I am purely an author of non fiction books. I reported this as fraud to my bank who say they would look into it. My credit card was cancelled in the meantime. It now appears that LinkedIn charged me without ever notifying me that they would do so. Despite the fact I had never received even a basic mention of Sales Navigator. I did not. and still do not, know what it is. All I know is that the company (or a fraudster) managed to take almost 1K from my cc account without notification, authorisation, or any sort of a warning email. I am based in the UK, and have instructed my bank that unless this money is reimbursed, I will expose this scam in the press - being a journalist that will be simple to do.

Unfortunately, my experience was dreadful. This estate agency uses a tenant screening system that examines applicants’ lives in minute detail. You need to set aside 30 to 45 minutes just to gather all the required documents and submit them online. In our case, my wife and I were unable to rent a property in Knaresborough for £750 per month, despite currently renting in the neighbouring town of Harrogate and paying £915 per month, meaning we would actually be paying less. We have never once been late with rent (which is a priority payment), and we own several properties in England, elsewhere in Europe, and in Brazil, and both of us working full time. Their agency’s partner company, HomeLet, asked me more questions about my bank statements than HMRC ever has, and, for the record. All in all, a huge disappointment. Windsor Court Properties got their ad back on rightmove.co.uk faster than returned my application deposit, I thought I would need to take them to small courts to claim for my money. I needed to chase them about my deposit, anyone normal would have asked for my bank account details to refund me. On the end I am happy that I got my money back after all the stress.

Our property isn't managed by Windsor Court but our Landlord uses them for his other properties and so used them to organise our recent Electrical Safety Certificate, they used Tetley's in Harrogate who were great, really polite guys who did a good job. Unfortunately a week after they fitted our new light fittings we suffered a big flood from the roof during a freak storm that resulted in water gushing through the ceiling. Our landlord is very elderly and not particularly responsive so I rang Windsor Court in a panic and they couldn't have been more helpful, the next day Tetley's were back to restore the electricity to the fittings for us and a roofer was also booked in.They weren't obliged to do any of this so we are very grateful and can highly recommend them.
