GoogleJust sold my house through Glovers. I have previously brought a house through them.Both times they have been very pleasant to deal with. They all have a very charming way of working with the customer even if things get difficult with negotiations. Very pleased!!! Will return and use again needed.

GoogleAll the team at Glovers are amazing. We purchased our house from an horrendous moron of a landlord who was difficult to deal with and made the transaction as difficult as possible. Glovers offered us helpful advice and were extremely supportive whilst maintaining a professional approach. Compared to pretty much every other estate agent we spoke to, they are actually decent people!

Called Glovers King Heath to inquire about viewing a property - the lady answering had the nerve to ask for proof of funds even before arranging to view it - it was actually the first sentence that came out of her mouth! I bought and sold properties before but had never had that asked before viewing. I believe it is unprofessional - it is confidential information and an invasion of privacy at this stage. I don’t think they have any right to request such information before one decides to make an offer on a property.

Dear Essentials Direct - you hide behind a shield of anonymity. Not knowing who you are, makes it impossible for us to address specifically the complaint (from 3 years ago) you make in your review. At the end of any tenancy, a tenant’s deposit is returned to the tenant, with or without agreed deductions for dilapidations. Both landlord and tenant have to be in agreement for this to happen. If there is no agreement between the parties as to how much is to be deducted, either the landlord or the tenant can raise a dispute, at no cost, through the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, and have the matter independently adjudicated by that organisation. If your deposit wasn’t returned to you in whole or part, or not at all, you must have agreed to it, or perhaps an adjudication didn't go in your favour. We can’t comment further because we don’t know who you are and can’t identify your tenancy, or if indeed we have ever had any involvement with you.

In each situation, Glovers have been polite, professional, friendly, efficient & competent. I wish we'd been able to use them when we tried to sell our house in Leeds. I heartily recommend them.

David, - we spoke and emailed each other about your comments above when you initially gave us a 1 star rating. The property to which you refer is in Highbury Court, Kings Heath, a well known ‘retirement complex’ with age related purchase restrictions and offering a high level of on-site services. Our website and the major property portals have filters which makes it easier for those searching for ‘retirement properties’ to find them, without having to scroll through the lists of flats in general. Although for example on rightmove a buyer looking for ‘flats’ will get the listings for any type of flat including retirement flats, unless the ‘retirement property’ filter has been selected. On the Glovers website we have a filter headed ‘Retirement’ in order for buyers to identify easily any type of retirement property which we have to offer whether it is a flat or bungalow, or house within a complex. We have this filter because it is our experience that those buyers who are searching for the facilities and convenience which are available in a retirement complex, are searching specifically for that type of property alone, and not for property which doesn’t offer such amenities. On our website David, you were searching for a ’flat’ in general, not a flat within the context of a ‘retirement property’ and you were disappointed not to find the listing under the heading of ‘flat’. I am sorry you felt frustrated by that, and gave us a 1 star rating because of it. I am confident nevertheless that your property was correctly classified and easily identifiable on our website for any buyer looking to purchase a retirement flat. I would also like to clarify another of your comments. Although being in lockdown and not having access to our paper records, our computer log does show that we were instructed to market the property on 12/09/2019, an acceptable offer was agreed on 10/03/2020, and details of the sale were sent to solicitors on 17/03/2020. The property has therefore become sold subject to contract after 6 months on our books, - your statement ‘flat under offer after a year on the books’ is incorrect.

GoogleAbsolutely awful, these people are so rude and arrogant. Not friendly or nice to work with at all. Also they cannot spell or punctuate which makes their paperwork look bad.
Who are you Jenni Gardner? My colleagues and I at Glovers have no recollection of dealing with you, and judging by your comments, you cannot have had any dealings with us. So, what is the purpose in making inappropriate and malicious comments?
