Just going through TPO regarding a rental property. BJBs have no comm., no organisation, no management. They should not be in the business of letting properties. The only thing they excel in, is incompetence. Landlords steer clear unless you want to spend years chasing these cowboys for answers as to why monies are being deducted for no clear reason. Only time we had a proper response is when the TPO have been involved. AVOID!

i have been reliably informed that this letting agent let a property to an organisation supporting vulnerable women that turned out to be unsafe with no fire escapes or standard safety equipment, was covered in piles and bags of rubbish and which turned out to have no boiler, and are now disputing that they have done anything wrong. Wanted to warn people away from this letting agent as they’re clearly dodgy.
Dear Rowan, Thank you for your feedback, which we believe to be in response to a recent social media post. For clarity, we would like to highlight that this is connected to the letting of a commercial retail premises, rather than a domestic dwelling; our Newcastle under Lyme branch are in no way connected to this transaction. We regret that the tenant doesn’t feel the property is fit for purpose. We are working with the tenant and the landlord to come to a solution but as the contract is signed the decision rests with the landlord. Unfortunately, due to Government imposed restrictions, we were unable to offer an in-person viewing and sent the tenant a short video of the property which was recorded prior to lockdown. The tenant ultimately made the decision to sign the lease, having had the time and opportunity to have this reviewed, and paid the rent for the first year in its entirety in advance; this was not a requisite of the letting but rather a decision made by the tenant. It's an unfortunate situation and we’ll continue to work with both sides in an attempt to come to a satisfactory outcome.bjb Commercial team.

Having put my house up for sale with BJB,they were really helpful at the start had a offer on my property within days of putting it on the market but now nearly 3 months on no communication what so ever from them,I keep calling the Longton branch for updates but no one ever calls back not happy with the service

Very unprofessional nd unrealistic valuations, nagging to sign the contract quick to earn money from the auction and auction search pack. Poor photos, not giving updates, many people engaged so no one responsible. Everytime when I called for an update or with other questions I hear someone call you back, which never happened. An awful experience, keep away or check through your agent well.

My friend recommended Butters, Lauren came out and had a chat and 8 weeks later we had sold!! at last.From selling and buying a property with the Winsford branch, was a great experience. Kathy, Teresa, Leyla and Pippa and Lauren the manager were all very happy, friendly, smart and professional. Nothing was ever to much trouble and I would highly recommend them.
