UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE

POOR SERVICE!! My property, which has been under the care of Erdington Lettings for the past five years is lying empty. Following the recent departure of my tenant, the property is now vacant due to significant damp and mould issues, which I understand have been exacerbated by a leaking roof. Despite the seriousness of this situation, the level of service I have received to date has been extremely disappointing. I have been required to repeatedly chase for updates, and in most cases, I receive no response. On the occasions where I have managed to speak to someone, I am assured that follow-up emails will be sent, however, to date, I have not received any written communication as promised. I am now trying to arrange for the property to be re-let, but I am again experiencing a lack of response from the lettings team, despite leaving multiple messages requesting a call back. This situation has now reached a point where it is unacceptable. The lack of communication, delays in addressing essential issues (including potential structural concerns such as the leaking roof), and failure to progress reletting are causing both financial loss and unnecessary stress. I require the following as a matter of urgency: I require Immediate contact from the lettings team to progress marketing and re-letting of the property Access to my property so remedial works can commence. A dedicated point of contact going forward If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no option but to escalate this further.

Could not recommend Laura and the whole team at Dixon enough! They were all amazing with helping us sell our house (twice). We were looking for something very specific which took a while to find. Be very careful, the contract ties you in far longer than you think

SADLY I CANNOT LEAVE 0 STARS: This relates to Dixons - Working on my behalf as an Estate Agent handling the sale of my property I’m leaving this review to help others avoid the situation I found myself in. The contract wording used by Dixons is not as clear as it should be, and it’s very easy for customers to misunderstand how long they are tied in for, PLEASE PLEASE READ ALL THE FINE PRINT BEFORE SIGNING ON THE DOTTED LINE, all the glitters isn't gold and I found that out to my peril. People need to be aware that when you sign with Dixons, you are committed to a binding 16‑week minimum period, and even after those 16 weeks have passed, you are still tied in for a further 28 days’ notice. During this notice period, you cannot use another estate agent, cannot remarket elsewhere, and cannot move on, even if you have already asked for the property to be removed from the market. In my case, I had been with Dixons for 5 months (20 weeks) by the time I asked for the property to be withdrawn, well beyond the 16‑week minimum period, and I genuinely believed the agreement had naturally ended. Only afterwards did I discover that the contract continues indefinitely until you give 28 days’ written notice, even when the property is no longer being marketed, they take it off their books but tie you in to a further 28 days where you cannot approach or relist with another Estate agent. I raised this with the Property Ombudsman, not to seek compensation, but to highlight what I believe is unclear and potentially misleading wording so that others might be better protected. Unfortunately, because the clause is technically written in the contract, the Ombudsman does not assess fairness, only whether the agent followed the wording. My hope is that this review helps others go into the agreement with full awareness, as the practical implications of the notice period are not obvious from the way the contract is presented. They Never replied to Emails at all, I think they were afraid of committing anything to an audit trail I think ALSO ANOTHER IMPORTANT WARNING FOR OTHERS DO NOT LET THEM BADGER YOU INTO DROPPING YOUR HOUSE PRICE WITH THE PROMISE OF “GETTING MORE INTEREST AND GETTING MORE THAN THE ORGINAL ASKING PRICE”. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN, ALL IT DOES IS DEVALUE YOUR PROPERTY.

Recently put an offer in for my first house and was super daunted by all the legal and morgage requirements that needed to be in place to make the purchase complete. Thankfully the team at Dixons Acocks Green helped me. Adam, Lee and Courtney were always a phone call away. I would recommend anyone buying there first home to buy the hand in hand house purchase service provided by Adam it does come at a fee but well worth it as all solicitors are in house and he will save you allot on your monthly morgage repayments.

I did not receive the level of mortgage…

I did not receive the level of mortgage support I expected from this company. While their general customer service was satisfactory, the mortgage advisor was not helpful. Despite charging a substantial fee, I do not feel that he secured the best possible deal for me. In my view, Mr. Mazar Singh appeared more focused on maximising his own profit than on acting in the best interests of the customer, particularly given his £700 fee.

Dixons Erdington made it easy

I've recently completed, I was a first time buyer, I'd had a previous bad experience where a dodgy seller pulled out at the last minute and cost me money, I was kind of struggling with the whole process, but Dixons made it easy for me. I was shown round the property by Alison, who knew everything about the property and the area, even who the neighbours were, then from there Sarah handled it and she was brilliant, always keeping me informed and chasing the other solicitor. Then my solicitor went into administration and couldn't carry on working and even then Sarah told me exactly what to do and handled it all for me once I had a new solicitor. It was a massive relief in the end. I'd definitely recommend Dixons after that.

Dixons - Erdington Branch - my brother and I sold our late parents property through Dixons Erdington. Charlotte Rose is a magician! Charlotte was superb from the outset with open and honest discussions about the property and excellent advice to sell the property via the Modern Auction Method. Charlotte had developers/buyers on her books who didn’t waste time. They visited the house and confirmed the same afternoon that they wanted to buy the house. A stress-free sale with no fuss and no mess. Also, Charlotte was very supportive, caring and assisted with arranging ID checks and documentation for my brother. Charlotte, again, turned into a magician by having a stunning flat on her books which was perfect for my brother and she negotiated a great price. We instructed Dixons in November last year, and have just taken our house off the market with them. Although the team are lovely and approachable, they failed to get us many viewings or offers, and always wanted us to reduce our price as a marketing tool. There was very little contact with them, unless they were booking a viewing in, no updates or marketing reports, unless requested, despite all the initial promises. Feeling very dissapointed and dissalusioned after this experience.
