GoogleThe process of buying and selling a house has become an extremely problematic process but throughout the whole procedure all of the staff at Hunters Tenterden have been polite knowledgeable, extremely professional and extremely helpful. I do not think I could have had any better service. I am extremely greatful for their help ,support and ultimate successful conclusion to my buying and selling of a property. Hunters have just sold my mum’s house and the whole experience from start to finish went so smoothly. James cane and valued the property and he was very kind and professional. Rebecca who handled the sale was brilliant! She was always in communication with my sister and I and kept us informed at every step of the way. She was always quick to answer any queries we had and was very prompt in resolving them. The other staff were also very kind and professional and really supported us in what has been a very emotional journey. Thank you all so much! 😃❤️

Hunters Northenden branch. Louis at Hunters could not have been more helpful. I was renting a retirement property for my father who was moving areas to be nearer us. Louis was very understanding of our needs and our urgency and we had everything sorted within 3 weeks. He was very efficient and answered emails very promptly. I have had experience with Hunters in the past on multiple occasions. I am disappointed everytime from their lack of felixibility. For example if you're trying to rent and your annual income matches but does not excees what is expected by Hunters then they will abruptly cut you off. Also horrible customer service by the staff and do not know what they are doing. On a flat i called twice one staff member told me i had to satisfy an income of 29.000 pounds and another staff member told me i had to exceed 30.000 wich makes me doubt their honesty. I have had much better experiences with other agencies. Do not reccomend.

GoogleWe purchased a house through Hunters and were very impressed with the incredibly efficient service we received. Laura progressed our purchase and was a pleasure to deal with; professional, friendly with a very practical approach to make the transaction work for all parties in the chain. I was very impressed with Laura's approach throughout. On moving in day, everything ran like clockwork when we collected the keys which we were really grateful for. All in all, a really good experience!

My boyfriend and I were purchasing a property through Hunters and they were pleasant enough. However, when we received the results of the independent survey two months down the line, it highlighted what we considered to be significant problems with the property, particularly the necessity of a whole new roof, and the replacement of brickwork.Naturally, we had not - and could not have - factored in the cost of these repairs, or the time it would take to carry them out, so we emailed our contact at Hunters in Sunderland, simply outlining the issues that the survey had presented, and attaching the report in full. The reply we received explained ‘The seller is not under any obligation to carry out any work or offer a reduction’. While true, this attitude seemed hostile to us, and rather unprofessional. We did not mention a negotiation of price, or the current owners carrying out the work themselves - although, to be frank, these did not seem unreasonable expectations.We had misgivings about how considerable an undertaking the repairs would be, both financially and physically, but were open to discussing options with Hunters/the sellers. However, we decided to withdraw from the sale, and Hunters’ attitude did play a big part in that. As a prospective buyer, you do not have a choice over which estate agent to deal with, but I would certainly be reticent about purchasing a property sold by Hunters in the future, and would strongly advise sellers to consider the overwhelmingly negative reviews on this page before engaging Hunters, as the wrong estate agent could scupper a sale, as in this case.

GoogleI am recommending Hunters to anyone I know about to buy or sell. Before I found a house to buy they listened to my requirements and then showed me really appropriate properties without applying pressure or hyperbole. The agent was really helpful (I was selling privately and she helped me beyond her remit) and persevered with some very difficult circumstances and unresponsive parties. Friendly, professional and going the extra mile. Thank you so much, Hunters.

We drove over 250 miles to view a house listed for let @ £900. We said we like it and were happy to proceed, after all similar properties down south cost £1000 a month….We were absolutely shocked when they got back to us, offering us the house for £1000 because they knew we could afford it… we were aghast! I have never ever encountered such skullduggery and dishonesty…. Of course we declined… how can one deal with such a dishonest estate agent as these!

Very helpful, kind and considerate.We have just moved into our new home after lots of ups and downs which started with the Covid lockdown. Without going into detail we had a lot of problems with our respective buyers and sellers. Hunters at Pocklington were so supportive, patient and understanding and were with us at every step. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Hunters Horncastle:If you are looking for an EA who keeps you updated and informed then I would NOT use Hunters, if you want the privilege of paying for doing your own work then by all means use this EA, also if you want to feel as though the EA is acting on behalf of the buyer instead of the seller… this is the one for you!!! They say the right things to get the initial business and then offer bad advise and never any follow up or conversations about the state of the market during contract period, even when requested. Also emails and WA messages were ignored. Worst Estate Agent I’ve ever used. It seems that Katherine (who did the viewings) and Susan (admin) seem to hold them just above water and do all the donkey work. Just my honest opinion!! Would have given zero rating if possible

I was buying a house through hunters, wasn’t the best experience in the world. When it came to getting the keys from the bishop Auckland office, I was told to wait outside in the cold for 15 minutes, then presented with 1 key by itself, there was no congrats on your first home or any welcome gifts or anything, just here’s your key, see you later 👍🏼😂 got into the house, it wasn’t clean, the kitchen had been flooded which warped all the kitchen floor which I then had to pay to get it sorted. They should have done a check once the owners were out the house in order to make sure it was in a fit state and as seen on the viewings. I’ve since rented out houses around that area and stayed well clear of hunters, I would never use them again after the experience I had with them.

Last year in November i sold my house with Hunters. Due to reasons beyond my control the sale process was not as easy as anticipated however the reassurance and professionalism from hunters where outstanding. I went with hunters theough word or mouth and i have already recommended Hunters to friends who i know are selling or thinking of selling their property. They are an amazing team and so friendly. Thankyou ladies for making a difficult situation so bareable. We got there in the end.
