This dodgy incident would never ever happen from any letting agency unless if it lacks the basic professionalism , reliability and courtesy !

I have been dealing with many agencies over the last 15 years , to let my property, to let a property but by far this is the worst agency . Unreliable , unprofessional and time waster .
As I am always busy with my work ,I called them and put an offer for 3 years and wanted to book viewing on the day
. Someone named ALEXANDRA CARBERRY in the Letting team is extremely unprofessional and a real time waster !! . She was supposed to get back to me to confirm the viewing but she left me all day waiting and ruined my plans. I have been in touch the agency director on the following day , who was helpful and booked the viewing for me ,I had to change my plans to do the viewing later on the day BUT she came back few hours later to cancel the viewing and giving a very poor excuse that the flat is no longer available !!!so again she wasted my time and ruined my plans .
Very unprofessional with zero decency !! Unfortunately such kind of persons give a very poor image about the agency .I saw another flat later in the evening with another agency , which is very good and professional , and I put an offer .
I would give 0/5 for my experience with Chestertons and I would not recommend them at all.

We understand that the market is very aggressive at present with properties coming on and off the market very rapidly in lettings. This is mainly due to the high demand for properties in and around the South Kensington area following the end of the Covid exodus as everyone is now returning to Prime Central London. Unfortunately, the effect of this is that the time of our negotiators can become stretched thin depending on the demand on the day and therefore response times, can be slower than we would like. We would never intentionally waste anyone’s time be it landlord, tenant or anyone in between but can understand how this situation has put you at a huge inconvenience. Please take our apologies on this particular issue, but with this our assurances that none of this was intentional. Regardless, we are very happy you have managed to find a new home even if it was not with us this time around. We wish you all the best for the future.
