Great personal and efficient Estate Agents. We had great service from Symonds-Taylor. We had tried to sell our period home a few years ago, but despite Rob Symonds' best efforts at that time getting prospective buyers through and enthusing them about our home we were let down by a couple of dubious surveyors being unfairly negative about the house. After a few years renting it out, we went to sell again. Selling a home is always stressful but we felt we would be in good hands from our previous experience, and we were not wrong. Claire and Rob provided an efficient, pleasant and 'personal' advice and service throughout, and steered the sale through with little fuss. Thank you!!

We had lived in our family home for more than 30 years, so we wanted an agency which would be sympathetic to our more traditional views. Rob and the team at Rettie delivered on all fronts. The photos were great and the sales ‘package’ quickly agreed and implemented. Viewings were carried out by Rettie and we were given feedback promptly. Once the offer was received we were given regular updates on progress right up to completion. Rob and the team are fantastic, there isn’t another Newcastle estate agent I would consider using. We have now been through two sales and a purchase with the team in recent years. They were able to act incredibly quickly on our recent sale, providing an honest well thought out valuation, producing high quality photographs and having multiple viewings prior to listing on Rightmove. Rob is able to find the perfect balance between making sure perspective buyers have enough time to view and ensuring that the viewings aren’t too disruptive. During the conveyancing process Claire was brilliant at making sure both sides were kept up to date with progress and we were able to complete within 3 months. This is the second time we've sold with Rob and the team at Symonds Taylor (the first was when they were known as Rettie). We've always received a flawless service and felt at ease that we were in safe and experienced hands. Rob was quick at responding to all of our questions and was always available to reassure and guide us. Our recent move was unexpectedly complicated and without Robs proactive approach to keeping all parties up to date and moving things along I'm sure it would have fallen apart. We're not planning on moving again but if we were I wouldn't hesitate to use Symonds Taylor.

Rettie Newcastle went above and beyond in our new home search. Having had a very stressful and bad experience over a 13 month period with 3 house purchases falling through at the very last minute, all with a different estate agent, the team at Rettie Newcastle quickly drew up a list of potential houses and arranged viewings for us before properties even hit the market. Bought our new home recently through Rettie. Mary and Emma were excellent throughout. In particular, Mary made the experience of the purchasing process less stressful compared to some of the other estate agents. She really knows the property market and has great personal skills. Rettie/Mary carried out targeted canvassing in the area we were looking for , progressed the sale with solicitors and were always fast to respond to all communication. I would thoroughly recommend Rettie Newcastle, Rob was very helpful and professional helping us to market our house and secure our new home. Rettie are amazing! We got several quotes from other estate agents and choose Rettie because of their faultless customer service and professionalism. All of the staff we dealt with were superb from Rob with our initial meetings and viewing and Mary and the team for helping us through a process that was new to us and always replying to emails and answering the phone for even the smallest of questions. On top of that they are also amazing at what they do- they sold our property for over asking price, before it even went online! We instructed Symonds Taylor to sell our late mother's flat and received everything one could hope for in terms of service from beginning to end. All aspects of the marketing were excellent and attractive. All viewing was promptly and fully reported back. Fortunate to receive multiple offers, we were well advised throughout, suitable caution being counselled before we chose the one to accept.
