GoogleAlways our estate agent of choice, we bought our first house with Bailey 5 years ago and have now bought and sold again with them. The whole team are wonderful - all very knowledgable, communicative and accessible. Both buying and selling processes are seamless, smooth and you feel well looked out for. We're grateful for their advice and recommendations and they give us a lot of confidence in what could otherwise be a stressful and challenging process. Would recommend to anyone. We've worked with Jamie Carr and Jack Cooper the most who are both excellent but thank you to the whole team, we love our new house and we're so grateful for all your help!

GoogleI bought a property Bailey and Co were selling. As a buyer I would not recommend Baileys, sellers should think carefully about using. Senior member of staff (Associate Director?) curt to the point of being rude; called Saturday first thing asking if we could view over the weekend (we were visiting nearby and a 2.5 hour drive from home) and told ‘no’. Approached the seller directly and seller delighted to show the property. Seller had instructed Bailey & Co to allow viewing if requested over the weekend but Bailey & Co were insisting on all viewings on one day (a Wednesday). Spoke to same member of staff on the Monday; was told off for arranging a viewing and when we made an offer over asking price hung up - no "thank you", or "we’ll be in touch". We did manage to reach an agreement on price and did manage to purchase the property and later engagement with Bailey and Co through their sales team was fine but overall not a good experience at all - could have easily not persevered with the purchase UPDATE Please read the response from Bailey and form your own opinion. Let me present the facts. I left a note through the sellers door on the Saturday asking if a viewing would be possible. HE PHONED ME BACK and we agreed a time. There was no pressure on our part. The seller was angered Bailey & Co had turned us away (I understood he had ASKED for sellers to be allowed to view at the weekend and DELIGHTED (not embarrassed) to show us around. I’m quite shocked to read “that as much as we didn’t want your offer, and believe me we didn’t”. We were a cash buyer, flexible over entry dates, paid significantly over the asking price and quite a bit more than the seller initially wanted (so at least Baileys did their job of getting a good pricer the seller). A measure of how good a company is for me is how well they deal with negative feedback. This says it all for me when Bailey & Co say “May we also suggest that when the time comes to sell your home, please do take your business elsewhere”. As and when it’ll be my pleasure to go elsewhere!

We sincerely hope that you are settling in and enjoying your new home. At Bailey & Co. we take our role very seriously and attempt to deliver excellence at every opportunity whilst trying to be fair to everybody. However, Estate Agency isn’t as easy as it looks and I’m afraid we are only human beings so as much as we try we cannot please everybody all of the time. When you contacted the branch to request a visit on the Saturday, we were working with the seller's clear instruction to only conduct viewings through an arranged open day which had been confirmed for the following Wednesday. On that following Wednesday, there were numerous parties booked to see the property, many of which also wanted to see it sooner. However, we were advising everybody that the fairest scenario was that everybody got to see it at the same time and promised nobody would get in sooner. When you knocked directly on the seller's door to bypass his instructions to us, it's understandable if the seller felt uncomfortable and in the moment to avoid confrontation chose to give you access at that time, many people would do exactly the same. In fact a main contributor to using an agent for many clients is that it gives them the ability to avoid confrontation. When you submitted your offer after forcing yourself to the front of the queue, the disappointment that you heard was the recognition of what at happened and the realisation of the consequences if your offer was acceptable. Namely, calling the other clients and explaining that they could now no longer see the property, even though they had been promised nobody would see it before Wednesday. Allow us to apologise for this, it was unprofessional. What you then gloss over, is that as much as we didn’t want your offer, and believe me we didn’t, we followed our duty and negotiated your offer with the seller without bias. May we ask you to take a moment and imagine how you would feel if you were one of the other parties that were waiting patiently to view on the agreed day. We would happily take a negative review from those clients. May we also suggest that when the time comes to sell your home, please do take your business elsewhere, they are many agents in Newcastle with values that align more closely to yours.

GoogleWe dealt with Jamie Carr throughout. The selling tactics, photographs and brochure were excellent... which led to a sale price that was way more than expected. The sale was not without its problems from one of the parties but Jamie stayed calm and professional and managed to keep everyone on track, he was always available and he was highly effective at problem solving. I would recommend Baileys, they are the best estate agents in Gosforth/ Jesmond.

The house selling and buying process is never easy but Bailey and Co. made the process much smoother and less stressful than it could have been.
