I have been with Winkworth for quite a while now. I found their service to be excellent and they are very professional and extremely helpful. My tenant left during the pandemic, and i was starting to worry as i don’t live where my property is located. One of their agents called Nishi, helped me throughout the whole process of hunting new tenants to all other agreement related issues. I am extremely grateful and thank wholeheartedly to all the agents who have helped me finding a new tenant promptly and efficiently go through my tenancy contract. Highly recommended!

They worked hard to get the best possible price for our property and were happy to give us advice along the way. We were tenants on one of the properties they managed at Winkworth Bow Estate Agents.First, they are difficult to come and fix any house issues. They just want you to pay, and they would do their minimum or even less to manage the property.Second, we have left the property long ago, we left it in a rather good condition, for a over 4 years tenancy, and they want to keep all the deposit. It has been over a month and we are still waiting for our deposit.They are not coming back to us, they are ignoring our emails, they are just a bad agency.I have lived in many places with okay agencies, but Winkworth would be the worst. I would not recommend anyone to rent a property with them.Please if you are reading this before renting, find another agency you will not regret it.

AVOID Winkworth estate agents (KIRSTIE BARBER). Kirstie will give you all false info to get you to make an offer and will lie about the property’s history. She will lie and when caught red handed, will lie to you again to cover her first lie. Pure shameless or just another estate agent! Do not use Winkworth as it a very dishonest business that you will keep on chasing to get some answers and will end up wasting your time & money. Just poor customer service & liars.

Absolutely appalling experience with Winkworths as the managers of the property we rent. Grossly incompetent and unequipped to deal with any emergency situation and their response to our situation was disgraceful. Our house suffered a burst pipe upstairs at 5am which flooded the whole of the downstairs hallway and laundry room, subsequently causing severe damage to the flooring and walls. Upon discovering the flooding we rang their ‘24 hour’ emergency hotline at 6am for assistance multiple times and never heard anything back. Eventually we stopped the heavy flow of water pouring from the ceiling light figures and through electrical sockets ourselves but were extremely concerned about the fire risk so turned off the electrics. We then had to persistently call Winkworth’s various offices and were told that all property managers were busy and unable to speak to us. It took 4 hours and for us to physically walk up to their Highbury office to speak in person before a member of their staff got back to us about the emergency.With no electricity or WiFi in the property all day, we weren’t able to carry out our jobs and were forced to miss a day of work. It wasn’t until 4pm that day that Winkworths arranged for a contractor to assess the situation and fix the burst. We have now been left with severe dampness, a lingering foul smell and residue/dirt throughout the property as a result of the flooding that Winkworths want nothing to do with. They told us it isn’t necessary for them to provide a cleaner as the ceiling is ‘still in tact’. Similarly when we asked about the provision of a dehumidifier to accelerate the drying process and improve poor air quality, we were told this also wasn’t necessary. We are seriously concerned about the health implications of living and working in a damp property.Disgraceful service from Winkworths in an emergency situation. Unresponsive, rude and unwilling to take any responsibility of a property under their management. We have since been in direct contact with the landlord to inform him of their incompetence in managing his property.

Winkworth, Poringland. We called them on Friday about the property to rent minutes after it went on Rightmove. They do not offer virtual viewings even if you live 200 miles away. Agent said they are only taking details to schedule offline appointments, took our details. On Monday they said viewings arranged for Thursday but it's all fully booked already (how?) and they will see when to book us for other day. When asked to film a short video when they will be at the property to understand if it's worth a 200 mile trip - they said they can't do this.Absolutely ridiculous service!

I am a small landlord and made the huge mistake of renting my houses through Winkworths and regretted it ever since. The current dispute I am having is over the deposit and who they represent. In practice, they seem to think it is the tenant.....
Thank you for taking the time to write a review however naturally Winkworth are disappointed that on this occasion it is a negative review. All of the Winkworth offices are independently owned and operated and therefore we would be grateful if you could indicate the location of the office you have been dealing with so the matter can be looked into. Apologies once again if we have fallen short of your expectations but please do provide more information to see if the matter can be resolved.

The Representative from Winkworth replied with a very short response.However, the students have yet to have the student holding deposit returned, the agent has not had the decency to indicate how long they have to wait to have the money returned as they both have to look for new accommodation when university starts soon.My student son will now have to travel from a different location to start the transferred job in Fulham, thanks to the Agent from Winkworth situated on Fulham High Street.

Avoid at all cost dealing with Winkworth Guildford now changed tier name to Guildford Estate Agents.There are many irregularities with the way they carry out their business. They are the smallest estate agent in Guildford and usually under staffed, service is very poor, they have every excuse under the sun and they repeatedly let you down or try to take advantage. The owner James Quantrell talks a good show and comes across professional, do not be fooled by his persona or offer of lower fees, they will let you down.
