GoogleOne year after our moving out I still think that Nortview was the worst estate agency we ever met.
We were transferred from our previous agency to them and from the beginning of our cooperation their service was very unprofessional. At the beginning we received just a notification that we had to pay our rent to their bank account without any other explanation. The e-mail was sent from gmail account and at first we were sure that it was a scam but it wasn’t...unfortunately.
When our contract was due to expire we received a message that they did not want to rent our flat anymore. After around a week they asked us to take a photo of our flat and from that situation we found out that they still wanted to rent our property. We sent them our proposal (an higher rent) but they did want to accept it. Then they posted an ad and the rent was £500 higher than ours so we found out why they wanted our moving out that much.
At the end they wanted to charge us over half of our deposit but fortunately we have all the evidence and they couldn’t do it.
All the time they had been explaining that it was all our previous agency’s fault. In my opinion it was execalty the other way around.
Very stressful experience. I’d never recommend their services even to my worst enemy.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. As discussed before, our hands were tied. We were stuck between a landlord wanting to change agencies and another stubborn agency who wouldn’t allow the tenancy to proceed with us. Therefore, we had to end the tenancy and start afresh. This is in no way our choice as we know how well you kept (and improved) the flat and we would have been happy to continue the tenancy.
In regards to this price, when we visited the flat we believed that it was under the current market value. From there we marketed and achieved a larger rent.
Finally, it was our mistake in regards to the deposit, and once we had confirmation from the other agency that you had the right to redecorate, we immediately retuned the deposit.

Spyros is honest and upfront. He displays a genuine and sincere wish to be as helpful as possible. I always take his advice as I know his intention is to solve the problem as best as possible.
Elena is understanding and caring. She goes out of her way to help with any thing you need.
She is sweet natured, calm and never gets ruffled even when you might get short tempered.
I am totally dependent on Northview for looking after me, my properties & my tenants.

GoogleIt's been several years since I rented through them, so it may be different now, but they were slow to respond to issues, kept our deposit outside a deposit scheme for a few days which I think is illegal, and were unhelpful explaining the details of why they didn't return our full deposit. GoogleWhen we were renting this place 18 months ago we really enjoined how friendly, professional and helpful the agency was and if you asked us than we would recommend them to anyone! That has changed now and I would definitely say - stay away from them.
During the tenancy, they were responsive to one or two issues that we had. We had small clashes with them on couple of occasions, for example after our 1 year when our contract expired they wanted to force us to agree to another 6 months unbreakable clause where clearly the contract said that it only applies to the first year. They backed out when we said we want them to take that up with the owner.
The moving out showed us their real face as they wanted to charge us a crazy amount for the damages that everyone would otherwise consider a normal wear and tear. They have also claimed we did damages we certainly did not but had no way of proving as the initial inventory were certainly not as detailed as the exit one.
Stay away. I would most certainly do if I knew before how they will treat us.

It is disappointing you have felt the need to leave such a review. We believed we had a good relationship with you both throughout your tenancy so hate it to have ended on bad terms.
Regarding the tenancy, this is standard procedure signing a new agreement once the fix term expires as it is in the landlord’s best interest to be in a fix contract. After discussions with the landlord, as you had been great tenants, we nor the landlord wanted you to leave so she agreed to let it roll as you requested.
We cannot agree with your comments that the damages were wear and tear and neither has the DPS as they awarded us the money to cover the damages. Please be aware we did not wish to take your money but could not allow the landlord to have to cover the costs.

GoogleDO NOT USE THIS LETTING AGENT! Only if you want to be left homeless and distraught. This letting agent completely and utterly misinformed us, left us in the dark and ruined our housing situation. They are not worth the stress. They need to learn how to let - they need to not be putting properties back on the market and then disregarding confirmations, emails and holding deposits. The most unprofessional and childish letting agency I ever had the misfortune of working with. In addition to not only leaving us homeless, their solution was a place five miles north of where we initially wished to live. Disgraceful.

It is disappointing you have felt the need to leave such a review. As already stated to you in an email we took your deposit in good faith and after being informed by the landlord that he did not wish us to pursue this tenancy we returned all of your money within two days of receiving it so your claim that we made you homeless seems rather exaggerated. I cannot agree with your view that at any stage we misinformed and I have found no evidence of this claim. Again it’s a shame you feel the need to publish this claim online. We did indeed suggest to you an alternative that was 4 miles away but was unfortunately the only available property that met all your other accommodation needs. GoogleNorthview helped me find a room in a shared house at the beginning of the pandemic 2years ago. The move in process was seamless; they were responsive when we needed to have something fixed in the house and really proactive when it came to the communal spaces (kitchen, garden...).
After 2years, I moved out last month to the North of England for work purpose. They literally reminded me to send my bank details so they can send back my full deposit and they did send it back.

The owner let us stay on heavy rain with 10month old baby! Being rude in the top when he arrived.
After month of waiting and chasing my commercial property I have never received requested informations and they went with someone else. Just received up to date info from Northview who did not recognised that we were in business month ago!
