GoogleI recently leased a flat from Chestertons. I dealt with Nikki Humphreys and had a very pleasant and easy experience - just what you want when dealing with property. Nikki ensured the process went smoothly and was also very accommodating - agreeing to meet me after work at late hours. Would recommend.

Guy was really communicative and got back to me straight away with any worries I had, which were quite a few as I was buying in a chain. GoogleLandlords beware! It's early days but we've had a terrible experience so far. The tenancy began with no rent being paid to us by Chestertons Islington despite the money having being paid to them by the tenant long in advance. After being prompted, they then pay us the wrong amount, with fees being deducted that we hadn't agreed to. Now going back and forth trying to get them to pay us the correct sum as agreed. It's like pulling teeth. Go elsewhere.

GoogleUPDATE: After posting this review based on my experience, Michael from Chestertons property management reached out and helped resolve 4 different issues I had with them, so no outstanding issues at the moment. I'm thankful for his help, just wish it didn't require me to post this review to get the right visibility and support. Chestertons Islington has the worst offering of property management. We have had our house rented for the first time using them and it was beyond belief the low quality of support we received, despite taking 13% + VAT off our rental income every month. The first months started with a property manager that would take a week or more to pass on information/requests from the tenants, then after months of low quality support, she was probably let go, and we spent months with no property manager, just whoever had the time to overlook (which again caused issues with our tenants). Then we got someone new a few months ago, but it's impossible to get time to talk to that person. I highly recommend anyone considering Chestertons Islington or any Chestertons to avoid their property management.

GoogleI’m on my 2nd letting with Chestertons Islington and both experiences searching with the agents has been fantastic. The real MVP however, is John Rudder. 🏆 Besides being a cool dude, he genuinely took interest, care, and time (oh so much time) to help me find the perfect flat. This was no easy feat given the tough letting market post-Covid, the looming recession, AND and the challenges of moving with a dog. But HE DID IT! Thanks again, John. Xochi and I appreciate you so much. 👊

Awful company - took my deposit to reserve a flat and wouldn’t return it. Don’t trust them at all. In the process of claiming through courts.

Letting managers lied to both my tenant and me about details of the contract and dates. When I complained they said that it was ok as they had not wasted my money, only my time. I've tried to contact their head office 5 times to speak about this but nobody replied to calls, emails or the online chat.

GoogleJust want to say Scott Abrahams did a fantastic job for us. First of all, he was incredibly patient while we worked through the various timescales for when we could sell the house. Then he offered us a very competitive estate agent fee - beating off a number of other estate agents who had got wind of the sale. But most importantly of all, he achieved a massive increase in the final sale price from what we originally envisaged. He also kept a dialogue going with the buyer throughout the process which I know smoothed things along. Great job all round.
