Have used Donald Ross three times over twenty years moving around South Ayrshire. We’ve gone from a family of 6 to 4 with our two eldest having recently flown the nest. Found our “forever home” now and genuinely cannot recommend the team here highly enough. Special mention to Jacqueline who always goes above and beyond to make the process run smoothly. GoogleI would highly recommend using Donald Ross. Tracey Oakley was extremely knowledgeable with the process of selling. As it was my parent home I was selling I found it extremely emotional but Tracey showed me empathy throughout. Within a day of the house being on the market I had 3 viewers which Tracey kindly showed them around. Within a week the house was sold. From start to finish it took around 6 weeks with no hitches at all. I definitely chose the right estate agency.

Not a great experience. Communication is extremely poor. If I'm honest, it's absolute non existent. You've to call persistently hoping you don't get the answerphone during business hours. In addition, they're full of crap. Lie about things for their own end. Really not impressed. I thought Corum were bad..Perhaps this is not a true reflection of all their branches.

Would highly recommend Donald Ross. They kept us informed every step of the way during the selling process. Rachel was our point of contact and we found her to be knowledgeable, efficient and courteous. Callum too, was very informative and his advice proved to be very helpful. Donald Ross was also the agent for the property we were buying and again we found the process to be very straightforward. Selling fees are competitive too

We were genuinely interested in one of their rental properties and were considering moving forward with the application process. We were informed that physical viewings are not conducted and that they do virtual tours only. We had a follow-up question, as it was important for us to understand how it would work before deciding how to proceed. We never received any response though. This lack of communication is a significant red flag, and we decided that we didn’t want to proceed as tenants (with this or other properties) or to work with this agency in a landlord capacity. From a property owner’s perspective, this kind of unresponsiveness to a basic clarification raises concerns about how reliably and transparently the agency manages communication and enquiries from potential tenants.

We have used Donald Ross to sell and buy properties over the last few years always find the to be very professional and helpful. However we bought a house this time through Donald Ross in Ayr we picked up our keys to the new house and was given a nice gesture of money off at the tree house we went and presented the voucher and was told it was out of date and could not be used this was on 17th May 2026 and we only got voucher on the 15th May but voucher date was April fined this very embarrassing and not very good attention to detail from the staff at Donald Ross. You need to make sure that if your giving people something that’s it in date to use. Regards Andrew & Mary

GoogleA very professional business. From our initial contact through to the conclusion of the sale communication was faultless. Presentation is everything and the pictures were stunning as was the brochure. On the first day, the second viewer made an offer that we were happy with and the missives were completed about seven weeks later. Pretty good going! In conclusion, Donald Ross do what they promise to do, unusual in my experience. Recommended without hesitation.

Elle was extremely helpful and ensured we were kept up to date throughout the full selling process, answering any queries that we had and had our house sold within 2 weeks of the viewings. Elle also showed us round the property we are buying ,providing useful information regarding the local area and was able to answer all the questions that we had to put an offer in the following day.

Our first meeting with Will was an amazing experience, he put at at ease with his honest and practical advice on how to go about the process of moving home. We signed up with him straight away and are so glad we made this decision. Our house went on the market on Thursday and eight days later it was sold. The whole team at Donald Ross work together to sell your home but Will and Maureen were exceptional and cant thank them enough. They kept us updated and advised us on a daily basis on our progress. We would highly recommend Donald Ross to anyone buying or selling their home.

I have been renting out a flat in Ayrshire for 14 years or so. My early experiences of Letting Agents were very disappointing, to say the least. Luckily I'm now with Donald Ross and the difference is amazing. Tenants bring their problems of course but my Agents deal quickly and efficiently. I like the fact that I'm normally dealing with one person - Fiona Hunter. I've seen other reviews, warmly mentioning her. I agree. She has clearly gone the extra mile to ensure that the right tenant is going into the right environment. This has resulted in a happy tenant and a smooth tenancy so far (touch wood).
