Strutt and Parker Sevenoaks Branch have recently completed the sale of our property. Despite the chain being problematic due to the failings of other estate agents within the chain. Victoria Rose of S & P was professional, honest and did everything possible to ensure our buyers were able to proceed with the purchase on many occasions out of office hours and at weekends. The good lines of communication S & P maintained between buyers, solicitors and developers resulted in us moving into our dream Home.

Sadly our experience hasn't been great…

Sadly our experience hasn't been great with Strutt & Parker.Here is some honest feedback about our experience!1. Promises and deadlines for marketing our property were undelivered2. The photo shoot was that bad we had to appoint our own photographer.3. Once a viewing was booked we'd spend hours preparing our property to look its best and after the viewing we'd receive zero feedback.This was on the selling side only.Ref the purchasingWe were in a chain whereas both properties were marketed by Strutt and Parker. The vendors of where we were purchasing decided they couldn't find anywhere suitable after we'd spent £2500 on legal fees. If this was not bad enough we were even more mortified when Strutt & Parker willingly re-marketed the property just a few months later for £50k more without even consulting us first.This will be costly to Strutt & Parker going forwards as we are property developers in the area, and they could have generated a lot more business from us, however we have gone with another agent who will be selling 5 properties for us in the first instance.

Sophia and Sharnie from Strutt & Parker in Suffolk were exceptional in working with us to find our country house and then get the purchase over the line. Their local knowledge and understanding of the properties we saw was the best I’ve experienced from any agents around the world. With an overseas vendor and in the middle of a covid lockdown they proved excellent brokers and the sale wouldn’t have happened without their input. I'd like to highly recommend Steven Spencer and team from the Strutt & Parker Gerrards Cross office. We had been looking to move home for the past 18 months and struggled to find the perfect property which met our family’s needs. Caroline Clark disgraceful attitude.

We've dealt with Caroline Clark twice over the past year and we are truly disgusted with her manners. Very unprofessional and abrupt, cannot wait to get rid of you!Do not waste your money doing reference checks with her, she's not open and honest about what the landlord will and will not accept. You will pay for the reference only to discover that there's some reason that you can't be accepted as a tenant. Her one-liner emails are very impersonal. She forgets that she's made an appointment for a house viewing and has kept us waiting at a property while she casually drives up without an apology. The worst customer service ever. Disgusting.

Recent house purchase

Without going into details, we were becoming downhearted and depressed about selling our house and buying a new place. Excellent service from start to finish. Olivia has been amazing and quite frankly instrumental in facilitating our flat purchase. We nearly went with Purple Bricks to save us some money, what a mistake that would have been!!Not only was the entire process stress free, with Victoria and team always on hand to answer (unlike horror stories I've heard from other well known firms!), it's fair to say the expertise from Strutt Parker made up for the financial saving AND SOME tenfold, due to being able to market our property personally, to a tailored audience of ready to buy clientele who gained more on our sale price than any basic Rightmove listing could ever acheive.

Strutt & Parker (Sevenoaks) have been excellent through the whole sales process of our house. Victoria Rose was professional, considerate and fun to work with. She also helps take away a lot of the inevitable stress when selling your house. Updates were frequent, but not overwhelming and the choice of communicating through phone or text made things easier when too busy or unavailable to make a call. We originally bought the house through Strutt & Parker and now, 6 years later, have sold it through S&P again. Both times we felt we were working with an excellent estate agent who really delivered on their promises. Thank you.

Strutt & Parker’s knowledge of, and their expertise in, the rural housing market in East Kent is the principal reason we first considered using them for our house sale - and we have not been disappointed in that. Their staff in the Canterbury office work as a strong team and we, as vendors, benefitted from that, particularly in terms of their insights and perceptions. The only minor reservation was slightly slow communication in the early days - but this improved enormously as we got to know them.If we ever needed an East Kent estate agent again S&P would definitely be our first port of call!

We sold a property through the Harpenden office of Strutt and Parker. The help and guidance we received during every phase of the sale, from initial pricing through to completion, was invaluable. The staff at the Harpenden office are all highly knowledgeable and professional, but also friendly and approachable. As a result, the sale proceeded smoothly, despite the interruption of lockdown.Selling a home and buying a new one is normally the largest, most complex and most important transaction of people’s lives. Take the stress out of moving

The tone and positioning of the Marketing was right on point for this part of the market something we had fallen down on with previous agents. The quality of potential buyers was top notch so no time wasting and the communications from Simon & Jane gave us confidence that we were in good hands with some tricky negotiations needed at times. I used S and P partly because they…

I used S and P partly because they offered the highest price estimate and partly because I knew that, as a large company, their contacts to the likely markets were strong. Overall, my experience was good. The marketing material was high quality. I thought that there was an underestimation of my home's principal USP ie granny flat. There was lots of talk of multi generational living but that missed the point: grannies need to be on the ground floor. My other observation is that I thought S and P were far too slow to return staff after the first lockdown when business cleaaly picked up. That was UNFAIR on the remaining staff of whom too much was asked and not a good advert. I was grateful to Rozanne as manager particularly in the latter stages of both the sale and purchase.
