GoogleI've had a great experience with Martin & Co, thanks in large part to Tracy. She is always friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. Whenever any property issues arise, she deals with them quickly and efficiently, making the whole process stress-free. Tracy is a pleasure to deal with, and her excellent customer service is genuinely appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Martin & Co to anyone looking for a reliable and professional letting agent.

GoogleHuge thanks to Tracy @ Martin & Co, who’s always very efficient at arranging contractor visits, with very quick turnaround! (Review also left for the helpful, friendly plumber who attended today). I’ve been renting from Martin & Co for a few years now - having been passed over from another lettings agency (very smooth transition). Happy tenant!

GoogleSuch a bad experience with this people.we lived there in a flat which was rented from this agency and I want to inform many things to others such as
I raised a maintenance issue in the month of February and they turned up after 2months
After the end of the tenancy we gave them the property with out any damage and wear and tear however they deducted our money almost half of the deposit has been deducted and they are giving us unwanted reasons.Such a bad customer service

GoogleI’ve been renting a property with Martin and co for a number of years now and had no major issues the property manager Charlie is fantastic I’ve seen a few come and go in her position over the years but without question she is by far the best she really has gone above and beyond for me and my family lately! Martin and co would do very well to keep her on their books as she cares about her work and it shows 👍

FacebookI have dealt with Martin & Co for a while now. I must admit I have not had previous dealings with other letting agents so cannot make comparisons against competitors. However, I have been generally very pleased with the level of service provided to me. I have experienced two difficult tenants and the help and support Martin & Co provided was exactly as I expected. I have recently dealt with Connor who has done a wonderful job in resolving issues and answering questions via WhatsApp video as I am not in the UK.

Update - February 2021. The property was let until November 2020 and following that, Martin & Co were very helpful in organising repairs and improvements to the property before it could be let again. The previous tenant had installed a SMART metre and Gary was able to arrange top-ups over the winter so the heating could be kept at a low level.A new tenant was found reasonably quickly and all was resolved quickly. Living abroad, the use of DocuSign is a Godsend as no papers needed to be faxed, posted or emailed. I am very happy with Martin & Co and they look after 2 properties for us. Finally, I find they are very responsive to emails and WhatsApp messages and I am sure they all work more than 35 hours per week

GoogleHad an issue with the flat I'm renting. Called Martin and Co and Matthew, the agent who picked up the call, has been extremely helpful in providing additional info and being proactive in offering potential solutions and suggestions. Sent an email as discussed, outlining the available options, with the promise to keep an eye out for anything else suitable that could come across. This review is specifically for Matt B, he did an amazing job. Working in the field, I know how important it is to get recognised by customers and, since there isn't a trust pilot, this is unfortunately the only way I can leave a good review. Give him a reward, an hour off or something.

GoogleThere’s bad reviews and then there’s this. Keeping it short and simple as a 2 page complaint email has been sent.
*Picture attached to attract more readers*.
Arranged viewing with branch owner Gary, broke GDPR regulations when attaching someone else’s details and their forms in the first email of the chain.
Consultant named Kelsey who “waited 1.5 hours outside the building after having no shows”, didn’t know the location of the flat and where it was, most importantly had the incorrect keys resulting in no viewing and a waste of my time overall. Apologised and said her goodbyes. As simple as it gets. I look back at this experience yesterday and all I can do is laugh.
There’s bound to be mistakes however, they must try and resolve it by going above and beyond after messing two professional individuals around like this and when the opportunity is presented.
Refusing to visit the office - 10 minutes away from said flat. Refusing to show another flat - so we could imagine the layout and if happy, put deposit down. So many of other things they could’ve done.
Would never recommend to anyone. Worst agency with so much lack of professionalism, sympathy and preparation.

FacebookGary Everett and his team have handled the letting of our flat in Felixstowe with expertise and good management. We would recommend the Ipswich Martin and Co to anyone who wishes to let their property, large or not so large. Thank you, Gary and Martin and Co. staff. Much appreciated. Annette and Garry Kilworth.

GoogleIf I could leave no stars I would. Most unprofessional estate agents I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. No offers allowed over the phone as "they cannot cope with that". Final offer made 4 working days ago at 5k over the asking price and no response from the agent, not even a courtesy call to keep me updated. Emailed a complaint to the general manager and funnily enough - no response either. I would not recommend them to anyone and would never ever look to use them for anything!

GoogleI have been in my rented property now for over 5 years and have been through the wringer when it comes to property agents. So happy to finally have a good property agent named Charly! She has been amazing from the start, unfortunately for her when she took over she was dealing with a lot of backlog but she has still managed to work with myself and my landlord on so many things and found a happy medium with everything. Honestly worth her weight in gold.

GoogleVery Helpful and Professional Team at Martin & Co.!
Rented a property through Martin and Co. in September. Was very pleased with their service and professionalism because my situation was a bit complicated : I'm a retiree who has lived abroad for 12 years, so I don't have a recent credit history in the UK and don't have landlord/ estate agent to act as a referee.
On the day of viewing, Gary and Luke met me at the property with the landlord. I explained my difficulties and they really impressed me with their experience and knowledge ! They explained in detail about the renting procedures, told me what documents they would need etc. and assured me that there should be no problem if I was able to provide those. I said I had to take some time to think about it, and in the meantime I viewed other properties with other companies, who, in contrast, became very unenthusiastic once they heard about my situation and replied most of my questions with "please just fill in the application form if you're interested". In a couple of days, I got a follow-up call from Martin & Co., asking about what I thought about the property, and whether I'd like to apply etc. So I decided to go ahead with it. And from then on, everything went smoothly. The team was always friendly, my questions were answered satisfactorily, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Considering it's an overseas relocation, and I managed to move in within 9 days of viewing the property! After moving in for a month, I got a call from Luke just checking on me to make sure everything's ok. I'm really pleased with their service. Highly recommended !

Googlewe have been using Martins in Ipswich for some two years now and in that time they have served us very well they have found tenants promptly, kept us informed of the property condition and ensured our tenants needs are dealt with in a timely manner. The legal situation in respect of health and safety & tenants rights which seem to be forever changing are well documented and we are kept informed
i would recommend them to any landlord or tenant for that matter
keep up the standards many thanks

GoogleFirst contacted Martin and Co whilst searching for a place to rent. My main contact was and still is Poppy.
Extremely friendly and professional and took me through the whole process with ease. Explained everything I needed to know. They contacted all the relevant people, from referencing (which was simple to complete) water, electricity and council tax. Even now I have moved in I received a follow up call to enquire if I was OK and did I have any problems. Also given the assurance that they are there for me should I need them in the future. Very happy with the service and gladly recommend them. Thanks Poppy and everyone at Martin & Co.

GoogleI purchased a property through Martin & Co earlier this year. As a first time buyer I did not have any experience of the buying process. There were countless delays in securing a mortgage and Simon was extremely helpful and did his best to make sure the deal did not fall through. Extremely pleased with their services.

FacebookThank you everyone at Martin & Co Ipswich for everything you have done, especially Sam and Poppy. As a landlord for the first time it was a very daunting experience but everyone has been so helpful and friendly, even when I feel like I’m asking a stupid question or being a nuisance! This is now the second year Martin & Co have been managing my property and I can’t thank them enough for doing such a good job.

GoogleJust want to share my awful experience with this estate agent.
-Awful answering team that can’t answer any questions and are meant to pass on messages - not sure if they did?
-No call back to say we were not successful and received the bad news from looking on rightmove
-Messy application process which clearly led to us not being considered to the landlord and led to a confusing call asking if we were interested when we already had told them we were
-Can NEVER get hold of the branch
-Nearly impossible to book a viewing for a property
-So much time tried to get hold and chasing them and you haven’t even got the application stage yet (can’t imagine what it would be like if you ever had a problem with the property that needed fixing)
Saw a property we loved on rightmove come up, called after hours and they have a handy team taking messages ready for the morning. Didn’t receive a call back the next day like they advised, I called the day after within the opening hours and still got through to the message taking team. Sent them an email as well as lately properties have been flying by and we didn’t want to miss this one. Still no response the next day so my partners mum went into the Ipswich branch and the woman there was advised she’d get back to me, I did then receive a call back later that day.
The viewing went better than I thought it did after the mess trying to arrange a viewing. The agent was very friendly and knew his stuff. He did go through the process of how they do applications but I had to ask several times if there was anything we had to do, like a pre application. The agent said no he will just put the names forward to the landlords and our salaries and the landlord will decide. Sorted.. so I thought.
The next working day after bank holiday he left me a voicemail asking how we thought the viewing went and if we were interested. This was confusing as we had made it very clear on the day we loved the property. Tried calling him back but he was out of the office, spoke to someone else in the branch and they said they would advise him we were wanting to be in the running to be considered by the landlord and will get him to contact me if any issues.
Several days later, not heard anything back so thought maybe the landlord is taking their time. Looking through rightmove and suddenly see the property is showing as let agreed. Tried calling them but went to answering team and they advised would get someone to call me straight away. Still nothing, tried calling today and no answer from the branch.
I take it we were not considered for the property due to the awful communications between your colleagues and the difficulty trying to get of someone.
If you really like a house please do take into account the estate agent you are going through, I would never go with Martin and co due to the experience we have had and will have to pass on any property’s that come up with them.

Hi Giles thanks for your feedback which is very important to help improve our service. I’m sorry to hear you did not get your first choice of rental property but our Manager Luke did try to call and text you after your viewing but sadly you could not take his call. Ipswich has a shortage of rental property this year as many Landlords are selling and we have to give first option to tenants who have paid a holding deposit to show commitment. If you are still looking for a property Luke can help you find another suitable home and you should have his mobile number to speak with him personally if the office lines are busy. Good luck with your search.
