We rented a property through Barringtons for close to 3 years. In all that time we had no problems at all. All the staff were excellent and if we ever needed anything they dealt with it promptly and efficiently. We had quarterly reviews that they always made sure were at a time convenient for us. Their automated system confirms payment due date and also confirmation of payments received providing proof for our records was very useful. Both my wife and I highly recommend Barringtons and especially Mark if you are looking at renting. Thank you very much and good luck for the future.

Unfortunately just do not provide a good enough service. My flat has suffered with damp for months and months despite being reassured at the start of the tenancy the damp issue it previously had was completely sorted. They are slow to fix any issues and still have issues they’ve said they would fix months ago but have not. They are friendly enough and promise the world but just do not deliver.

Unfair business. Unless you make them want your offer to be the highest, you are out of luck. We viewed a property, was previously informed that they are organizing viewings for only that day. We liked the flat, offered £100 more than the landlord requested. They promised a response by Monday, I called several times but couldn’t get an update until the evening when we were informed by mail that our offer is the highest, most appealing one!!! (and that the landlord is making the decision that night!) The next morning they informed us that someone out of the blue offered an increased bid in the morning and the landlord decided to go with it. Interesting how someone just had a dream that night to increase their offer... so unless you offer them some pocket money💰, it probably won’t be you they call to let you know the highest offer to outbid... 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Pure bottom-feeder estate agency with one aim: rip off tenants. Viewed a property and existing tenants of less than 9 months tell me how much they were paying. Barringtons added £100 atop the £850 they were paying and when questioned on this they had the cheek to tell me it used to be let at £1300 which is purely farcical for a 1 bed flat in Essex. Don't waste your time with these people, they are liars and have no inkling on how to conduct business professionally. If I could give 0 stars I would. Useless bunch who will use pressure sales tactics and deception to rip you off. Steer clear.
