TrustpilotWe feel the agent did not convey ourβ¦
Hunters, Carlisle Branch. We feel the agent did not convey our offer correctly to the vendor, telling them we had met their price without including the proviso that we had made that our increased offer was to include contents and furnishings to the value of Β£5,000. Therefore the vendors thought we had met their price while we thought we had negotiated some furnishings for the property. This we feel was dishonest and caused embarrasment and problems when finalising the sale through the solicitors.

TrustpilotSo unprofessional
So unprofessional. Middlesbrough- Teesside Lettings branch cancelled my viewings on the same day just an hour before the appointment with a lame reason of not confirming it via an email when the appointments are usually confirmed by phones. Also no necessary information about the property was given a week ago while I booked the appointments but today after them sending me appointment cancellation emails. I had cancelled my plans for today as I had 2 appointments with them. Staff has no manners to talk to a client, the way of sending emails is so casual and informal. They offered me appointment for the next day when I specifically requested for an appointment for today itself a week ago. I just told them I donβt want to go ahead with such unprofessional company. Management needs some training so do the staff in dealing with the clients.

GoogleBuying a house in the beautiful Spa Town of Ilkley is a challenge. The property market is dynamic and bullish; houses command a premium and move quickly with cash buyers a plenty. Thankfully, Hunters were at hand to help take the stress out of the process. Having decided to rent, in the interim until we found our new home, Lester and the team at the Ilkley branch went the extra mile in every respect to secure us the right property let, on agreeable terms, with an outstanding landlord. From initial registration, to successful letting, the team at Hunters worked hard to close the deal on a perfect interim home, providing excellent recommendations on tenants insurance and smoothing the administration throughout the letting process. We subsequently went on to view a number of prospective homes for sale with Hunters and despite ultimately not purchasing through them we appreciated their standard of service. If youβre considering buying or renting a house in the area, I would have no hesitation in giving Hunters Ilkley my recommendation.

TrustpilotDishonest, incompetent and terrible attitude
Should you choose this letting agents here are a few things you can expect as routine:1) Lying about the status of properties on the market and deliberately misleading all parties on the status of such properties.2) Arranging appointments to view properties that they don't even turn up to meet you at.3) Cocky, arrogant and sarcastic customer service. They really do not care AT ALL!Literally the worst letting agent you could ever choose to instruct. As you can see from the other reviews, dishonesty, incompetence and terrible staff attitudes are a feature. There is a reason for that. Be warned.

TrustpilotHunters Belmont Circle
Called Hunters Belmont Circle to arrange a valuation of my home. They asked me the reason for wanting to sell and when I told them it was because we're divorcing the representative immediately turned frosty and said they charge for valuations if your selling due to divorce. Imagine you're presented with a very devastating and traumatic life event, and then the pariahs come a hunting to see if they too can make a profit out of someone else's misery. Shameful.

TrustpilotWhy all the complications?
Tried to book a viewing online of a property in South Shields. I received multiple text messages and emails asking me to complete a further questionnaire before they could proceed. This questionnaire then appears to have prompted another questionnaire (with multiple further texts and emails), which looked like it was going to try and book me in for a property valuation of my current home. I decided instead to call and try and book a viewing. The gentleman who answered seemed thoroughly disinterested and told me viewings could only be booked for weekdays, and only during the hours of 9am to 5pm. I explained that I work during those hours (as most people do, I would suspect) and he said, 'Ok then, bye' and terminated the call. Not sure exactly how anyone is supposed to view a property with Hunters.

TrustpilotExtremely bad experience with Unprofessional and Rude people... Preston Road Wembley branch
Preston Road Wembley BranchI regret to say that my experience with your service has been extremely disappointing. The level of unprofessionalism displayed throughout the process was astounding. From misleading information to outright lies, it became clear that your team was not transparent or trustworthy from the start.Unfortunately, after the deal was finalized, your true nature became even more evident. The promises made prior to the transaction were not upheld, and your team showed a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. I would strongly caution anyone against working with your company.Thank you for making this an experience I will never forget, but for all the wrong reasons.

Thank you so much to Rob, I believe, thatβs his name for going the extra mile to get my wristwatch fixed. It had unfortunately come apart whilst they were trying to install a battery. I am eternally grateful as the watch was special to me. They were most apologetic and ensured that everything was done to get the thing up and working. So once again thank you for your excellent customer service.100%

GoogleWe have sold 2 properties and bought 1 with Hunters Ilkley over the last few years and would like to say what a fantastic experience we've had from start to finish every time due to their hard work, excellent communication and proactivity.
I love the fact that when you call Hunters you get someone on the phone who knows you and knows your property. They provide a level of personal service that other agencies don't have (and we did try other local agents) and they really do their best for their clients every step of the way.
The sales progression service they provide is also superb and we were incredibly impressed with the level of service, tenacity and initiative they showed. There were several moments along the way when they went above and beyond to keep things moving when the sale threatened to stall.
We would not hesitate to recommend Hunters to our friends and family. Thank you to Lester and the rest of the team :-)

TrustpilotAbsolutely the worst estate agents
Absolutely the worst estate agents , I booked a flat viewing at 4:45pm on Friday evening , I was left a voice message in the morning asking if I couldnβt attend please let them know, I was attending so not necessary, I drove for 50 mins in rush hour traffic and got to the property about 4:47 pm 2 mins late, on the travel over I phoned up the company 4 times leaving messages saying I will be slightly late no answer, when I go to the property the agent wasnβt there , no phone call to my mobile at any point, I knocked on the door and the owners were there very surprised to see me π€π€ I said hi I have a viewing which they replied oh we didnβt know and there has been no agent there today waiting for me, it was very awkward looking around and then I left, the whole situation was a joke how DARE YOU treat potential renters/buyers that way not even turning up and even letting the owners know, waste of my travel time and petrol money , email the agents and they replied back there was someone there but because u was 2 min late they left as there to busy to wait, CROCK of S**t no one was there confirmed bye the owners, I really hope your company goes bust and u all lose your jobs , I should of look at the reviews on here before contacting your agency as there shocking and the worst Iv ever see. For a company Shameful Sharon mcevoy rude lady stay clear

TrustpilotAvoid at all costs. The worst of the worst!
Couldn't have come across worse agents. Took two months to get the house on the market because of continuous delays with contracts, photos and communications. Extremely unresponsive overall, would sometimes have to call for weeks to get an answer or an update. The agents come to house viewings without knowing anything about the house and they lie more than any service provider I've ever dealt with. The absolute bottom of the barrel of estate agents. Avoid at all costs!

Hunters- Wallasey branchHunters- Wallasey branch. Horrendous. Absolutely no compassion or care during Covid-19. Even though the landlord is probably taken advantage of his mortgage holidays. Had no working fire alarms since February!!! Donβt reply to emails or answer the phone. DO NOT RENT OFF THESE. House was filthy when we moved in took me 4 days to clean before stuff could be moved in- told them this and they just said rented as seen.

TrustpilotIf I could give zero stars or negative
If I could give zero stars or even negative stars, I would. From renting the property, collecting the keys, discussing the lease renewal, to the recent issue with rent payments, it has been a complete disaster. When I first viewed the property, I told the agent at Hunter that my current lease was ending soon and I needed to speed up the process of getting the keys. The agent assured me it would be fine and agreed to hand over the keys on Monday. However, I spent the entire Monday chasing them from morning to evening, even going to their office, but still didnβt get the keys. When I arrived at their office, they told me some documents werenβt signed. I couldnβt believe they only realized this after I had to show up in person. The next day, I contacted them again in the morning, and once again, they werenβt ready. It wasn't until late Tuesday, right before their office closed, that I finally got the keys.A year later, when it was time to renew, Hunter told me the landlord agreed not to raise the rent, and I immediately accepted. They sent over the renewal documents, but before I could sign and return them, they called the next day saying the landlord had changed their mind and wanted to increase the rent by Β£200. I was shocked. How could they go back on their word? Hunter even insisted that the landlord had the right to do so because there were still two weeks before the lease renewal, otherwise, the landlord could end the tenancy. This felt like bullying, but I had no choice but to agree.Yesterday, I received the payment invoice for the renewal, but the amount listed was still the old rent. Since they issued the invoice, I paid the amount stated. Today, they realized their mistake and sent me an email asking for the remaining balance, even rushing me to pay immediately. I was at work at the time, so I couldnβt make the payment right away. Later, Hunter's agency called me, and instead of being polite, they demanded I pay as soon as possible. I told them I was working and couldnβt pay immediately, and that it was their mistake, not mine. They insisted I pay after work, but I had other commitments. I canβt believe they made the mistake but still had such a rude attitude.I will never use this company again, and I hope they go out of business to avoid further damaging the reputation of service companies in the UK.

GoogleWe were very pleased with the service Hunters, in Ilkley gave us as we progressed in the purchase of our new home. There were no real issues to be fair, but we felt confident in knowing they were monitoring the process, in touch with solicitors and keeping abreast of all aspects of the move. Andy was particularly helpful in showing us around at pre-arranged viewings and in dealing with the purchace negotiations. Our other main contacts were Debbie and Ellie who were always helpful giving advice and support and keeping us posted when required. We would certainly consider using Hunters ourselves when we decide to sell but, hopefully that will be some time away as we intend to enjoy our new home for some years to come. Many thanks for the house warming gift too!

TrustpilotPoor customer service
My partner and I are looking to relocate to an area around a 5 hour drive away, we found a property with Hunters and booked a viewing. We loved the property so we asked the agent what to do next and he said email so we can get sent an application form; because we liked the property so much we emailed and called the branch to try and get ahead with our application. No answer from the branch after numerous calls over the period of an hour so we decided to go to the branch instead. After speaking to someone in branch (not part of the lettings team so they couldn't help us) they sent an email over to someone from the lettings department with our profile so they could send us an application form via email. This seems great, two emails, one from us and one internally expressing our interest in the property. However fast forward one week, with nothing from them and more attempts to contact from us, we finally get through to be told that someone that viewed on the same day as us has already completed all the applications and is set to start renting the property. No apologies or anything after explaining the situation and that we'd been trying to get in contact for a week.

TrustpilotThey couldnβt care less
Would even put this into minus stars if I could. The most awful company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Very good in getting you in at first however soon as they have their commission from you they donβt care about you. To start we had to push back as we had agreed a move in date paid for moving van. Kye who was our wonderful (not) estate agent thought it was acceptable to give us a call at 16:00 the day before to say we canβt move in this date. Extractor fan was broke in the property was promised this will be fixed at the start of our tenancy. They decided to send someone to fix this in our last 2 weeks of our agreement. The state of the flat when we moved in was beyond a joke grime on the kitchen top bathroom smelt disgusting was dirty. Carpets looked like they hadnβt been cleaned since the flat had been built. Marks all over the walls and blinds. Weβre not trying to be overcharged for a cleaning service when the flat was left in 10 times better condition it was left in. Horrible company who donβt care about you after they have their commission. Also abysmal customer service constantly have to chase them for things

TrustpilotDo not use this estate agent
Would not recommend renting through Hunters - no communication, follow up or empathy from anyone here. Day one moved in- Leak all over the living area from a disconnected pipe that hadnβt been checked. Raised floorboards and bloomed worktop- No broadband access- No bins- Vent not fitted correctly in the bathroom(All reported no follow up from Hunters)1 month later - Still no broadband, bins arrive. Had to purchase expensive WiFi dongle in 12 month contract and unable to use electric car charger. - Phone line attachment broken and reported via Opeanreach -Had to chase Hunters for any action to be taken for the wifi for the whole apartment block2 months later- (Some) flats connected to broadband still some flats without wifi - low speed if usable- Our apartment was flooded with sewage water into the bathroom. - Β£150 to replace damaged bathroom goods - Pipes overflowing and all toilet/shower/sinks/washing machine and dishwasher unusable for 3 days- 3 days OFF work to facilitate fixing issues- Front door lock unstable logged 23rd July no follow up- Vent still hanging down in bathroom3 months in- Storage room ripped up from last month and no follow up from blocked pipes. Waiting to be flooded out- Stinks of sewage- No communication in over 3 weeks Do not care about welfare/lack of customer service. Shocking. I never write negative reviews and genuinely give people a bit of slack but this has been the worst I have experienced.

TrustpilotINCOMPETENT
Hunters listed a rental property two days ago and I had contacted them making an enquiry an hour after it was posted. No response. so I went online and found a book a viewing form and completed it. No response. The next day I emailed asking further about the property. No response. Today no call or no email, no response. So I call up and I am informed that they are fully booked for viewings and they probably wont do another one. Absolutely no communication. Zero customer service. An entirely incompetent estate agents. I had to drag the information out of them and at no stage was I contacted. The entirety of their reviews for 2024 details their utter incapability.
