TrustpilotExcellent experience with Hunters
We had an excellent experience with Hunters from start to finish. Richard, Brenda and Adam were fantastic throughout the entire process - always responsive, easy to contact, and happy to help with any questions we had. Everything ran smoothly with no issues at all, and their professionalism and communication made a potentially stressful process much easier. We would highly recommend Hunters to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.

TrustpilotOne of my worst experience buying a house from hunters
One of my worst experience buying a house from hunters auction. House was listed on website and tenanted for a fixed amount of rent which I was told by the auction agent called Robert. Also house was in bad state but got told tenants donβt care so why do you. Only to find out later on that tenants have never paid anywhere near that amount and itβs so much lower. So was lied to first of all and then later to meet the tenants and for them to tell us all the work they was promised and they wanted the house fixing top to bottom. What an absolute joke and waste of time and money. Keep your money and go elsewhere they will tell you anything just to sell a house that is overpriced

TrustpilotRude, poor service - a must avoid for renters
Rude, get passed around from pillar to post while they try to ignore your requests or questions. Tried for years to get them to fix things but just continually fell on deaf ears. Now they're trying to claim issues are my fault which are down to shoddy contractors (which they use consistently, including at one point despite having had yearly gas checks, I get told that the previous 6 years hasn't been done properly and the build up that caused a leak was because of this. Everything is everyone's issue but theirs. Renters, avoid at all costs!

TrustpilotExcellant service
Moving can be hectic, but Dulcie made it so simple with her support, prompt communication, and quick responses from the first viewing in Cullompton right through to the day I collected the keys. She was professional, reassuring, and always ready to help.

TrustpilotAwful customer service
I remain deeply disappointed in the way my most recent complaint has been handled at their Newcastle branch. The way the branch manager speaks to tenants is appalling! If you have a complaint then donβt expect any sympathy or accountability. We have rented this property for 11 years and in that time, we have been superb tenants but sadly that doesnβt mean anything to them. I anticipate a reply to this which will more than likely attempt to completely contradict what Iβve written here but just know that our experience has not been a positive one!

Trustpilotillegal procedures - 1 bed property Sparks Close (Terrible Agent & Terrible Landlord)
1 bed property Sparks Close, Dagenham, RM8 - Landlord and hunters agent where complicit in illegal procedures regarding discrimination. We went through all the paper work and wasted 2 weeks till they call me and tell me the Landlord dont want a baby in the property. Don't trust them slow untrust worthy. And definitely dont rent the sparks close 1 bed property, Landlord seems like a handful save your self

TrustpilotMy experience selling a property in theβ¦
My experience selling a property in the UK with this agent was extremely frustrating. For over four months, they delayed the transaction. Despite my constant follow-ups, they kept giving me excuse after excuse, like mortgage problems or minor issues, saying it would happen next week. Eventually, I told them I would pull out and sell to another buyer, but Matthew insisted I still had to pay. I also want to warn people about this company, be very cautious, because in the contract, they include terms that are unfavorable to the client. Once you sign, they do very little to follow up, and you canβt even be sure if the buyer will complete the deal. Their main priority is just getting you to sign, and regardless of whether the sale happens, they still take your money. And when I tried to back out, Matthew actually threatened me, saying that if I didnβt pay, they would escalate it to other departments. I feel this is a form of intimidation.β

TrustpilotRobot refused to give me a viewing
Awful experience trying to arrange a viewing. Spent yonks on the phone with a robot. It asked me unnecessary questions and misheard things; then had to reconfirm everything. Eventually it was happy. I hung up and it started again this time by text. In the end it refused to let me have a viewing unless I told them my spending budget - which I wasn't prepared to do. Do not sell your property through these idiots.

TrustpilotDisappointed
Disappointed, we learned our house purchase had fallen through at the point of us being ready to exchange on our property. We found out that the office had known about it and left it to the agent, who had been looking after us, to tell us after she came back from annual leave! We never got a reason for the purchase to fall through and they even tried delaying us putting an offer in on another property. Luckily this was with another agent and we trusted our gut as the trust with Hunters had gone. 7 weeks later we were in our new home. Felt let down and disappointed with Hunters. This was our first and last time dealing with them.

Trustpilot"Avoid Hunters Property Management
"Avoid Hunters Property Management, Inefficient, Rude, and Unprofessional"My experience with Hunters Property Management has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. They have consistently demonstrated poor service, inefficiency, and a dismissive attitude towards tenant concerns.Ineffective Issue Resolution: Hunters fails to handle even basic maintenance issues. For example, a heating issue during winter was passed to the landlord without any attempt to troubleshoot. I had to step in and take personal risks to resolve the problem myself, only to discover it was a simple battery replacement. Their inability to perform even basic triage highlights their lack of professionalism and problem-solving capabilities.Creating Gaps Between Tenants and Landlords: Instead of acting as a competent mediator, Hunters merely relays messages between tenants and landlords, causing delays and unnecessary misunderstandings. This approach has damaged the relationship between myself and the landlord, as the agency often fails to communicate effectively or accurately.Rude and Dismissive Behavior: The staff frequently respond to concerns with a dismissive tone, making tenants feel unsupported and undervalued. Their arrogant demeanor gives the impression that addressing tenant concerns is a favor rather than their responsibility.Neglecting Tenant Safety and Comfort: Health and safety issues, such as rat infestations and malfunctioning alarms, were not addressed promptly, despite the serious risks they posed. The lack of urgency in handling these matters has caused significant stress and discomfort for my family.Minimal Value Added: Hunters operates more like a messenger than a property management service. They fail to provide meaningful solutions and seem content to pass the burden of responsibility onto others, leaving tenants to fend for themselves.Overall, Hunters Property Management has proven to be unprofessional, inefficient, and dismissive. Both tenants and landlords deserve better. I strongly advise against using their services if you value timely resolutions, respect, and effective communication.

Trustpilotlettings fees are very high
For lettings their fees are very expensive. First 3 months of my 450 rent studio flat they took and I did not get anything. When tenant leaves another month will be gone as inventory check is 180 and cleaning in 250 and this is for a studio flat. If i want to cancel the contract i have to pay 900. Stay away.

TrustpilotI have only great things to say about Hunters Middleton!
I have only great things to say about Hunters Middleton branch! From the very first phone call right up to exchanging contacts They have been beyond brilliant. I absolutely loved the pictures of my house and the write up most definitely did my house justice. My house sold within 4 days and I was over the moon with the price!Nicole was the shining star for me- she kept in daily contact and was the most reassuring and helpful person every single step of the process. She chased up people when they needed it ensuring the sale moved along at pace. Thank you so much Hunters but especially a massive thank you to Nicole- you have been amazingly!

TrustpilotDisappointed is an understatement..
To say weβre disappointed with the level of communication from the Horncastle Branch with Michael and Susan Noonan is an understatement and the level of service is a far cry from Michael's commitment to customer experience.Researching this branch shows multi-occasions that this activity has happened here.If youβre viewing a property with the intent to buy, donβt expect them to tell you if any other parties are interested. Theyβll just pull it from under your feet along with any visions or excitement of a future you had in said house.Viewed a property two weeks ago, following the viewing we had a really positive conversation with Susan in the office expressing great interest, no more than a week later sold to another buyer with no communication. It would have been professional and courteous to reach out to the buyer but more so to the seller, as Iβm certain they would like to have known of other interest. Susan and Michael took away any opportunity or chance to put in any offers, resulting in many wasted hours.I wouldnβt usually leave a review; but the tone in which Susan delivered the news was blunt, lacked any sort of empathy and very closed, to date I am still waiting for a reply to my email which I can only assume has been ignored. We will steer clear of this company for future sales and purchases, knowing that their priority doesnβt appear to be with either buyer or seller.Happy to receive a call or email to discuss our experience with you.

TrustpilotHunters are not interested
Hunters let the house adjacent to ours. There have been multiple pipe leaks around the bathroom causing flooding which in turn is causing damp smells on our side due to the length of time taken to address the issues. It's been repaired after four weeks now within hours water is currently coming through the ceiling next door soaking our party wall and they have told the tennant it's livable no problem.

TrustpilotFeeling sorry for vendors hoping to sell their property
Mid of August I telephoned Hunters Sunderland to view a property, giving them all requested details - a little while later they sent an email asking which property I meant (I had told them but if they wanted to clarify: why didn't they ask this when I phoned?).

TrustpilotAwful
Awful. Incredibly disorganised. Would establish inspections and never turn up, would constantly email about overdue rent that wasn't overdue. Would pass the blame constantly. Attempted to raise my rent by a "reasonable" Β£200 a month six months into my tenancy which can only happen every 12 months and cannot be more than the CPI price index; they failed on both counts. Renting is honestly awful, and these clowns pray upon the anxiety of insecurity to get what they want.I have bought a house now, I wish all renters the luck to buy their own homes one day so we never have to deal with letting agents like these ever again.

TrustpilotGutted
I was really impressed with the valuer's sales pitch and genuinely believed they would be the best firm to sell my home. The fact they had a relationship with Ryan property law also played a part, although that turned out to be a disaster, but that's a review for another day.

TrustpilotSales progression team lied and not very professional.
We are in the process of buying a bungalow at the moment and the sales progression team told us the vendor had been to sort the electrics and service the boiler..previous tennants had apparently got in debt so electric was cut off..Hunters lied saying this would be sorted. A second viewing 2 weeks later and a wasted 120 mile journey confirmed nothing had been sorted. When we told them we were disappointed with them we were told to leave the property.

TrustpilotDamaged our house, and we're not even their clients!
Hunters hung a "for sale" sign on our property, which was a surprise to us, since we were neither selling nor letting the property. When asked to take it down, four visible holes have been left in the wall of our home. It has been six and a half weeks, and the holes are still there. In a couple of weeks, we're going to need to escalate this to the ombudsman.

TrustpilotI would completely recommend avoidingβ¦
I would completely recommend avoiding this agency, they are slow to respond, have no information ready at hand and this has possibly been the most annoying process of purchasing a property with them. There was a lot of missing information that I was not provided and they basically only know how to respond when they need something. You will call them and they say they'll get back to you and just disappear. Avoid if possible.
