Just want you money and will lie if need be. We were charged £150 for photos (no other estate agent charges for photos to be done ) but we were told if we sold through them it would be refunded! Lies!!! Also no estate agents to do viewings as all too busy (not sure what service I paid for) very disappointing! These are just a couple of issues I had with the sheldon branch! Avoid.

Booked me in for a viewing and then got harassed by their mortgage broker to come in for a meeting. I refused politely as i already had an AIP but they wouldn't take no for an answer. Consequently they cancelled the viewing and haven't allowed me to view another property since. Luckily i purchased another property from a different estate agent but having spoken to several people and agents about my experience, this apparently in addition to lieing about false offers is common practice amongst many estate agents. Please government, put in some legislation to police these agents.

Although the house was not for us,I could not fault Leona who ensured she kept in touch and looked at other options for our potential new home.Would highly recommend.

I am a first time buyer and it's really sad that my first experience of buying a house has been such a bad one. Only good thing is that I'm going to take my custom elsewhere before paying any money.It all started with me seeing one of their morgage advisors and in all fairness it was a fantastic experience and made me happy enough to start my search for a house with burchell edwards. We was approached immediately after our meeting with a very pushy estate agent booking us in for a viewing, which we went along for and actually loved the house. So we began the process of making an offer on the house on question. When our offer was rejected we decided to up our offer because we liked the house quite a lot. We started to get pressured by the estate agent as she had a lot of viewings for the property. So we decided to up the offer again, and then found out the they had withheld information and it was in fact leasehold. If we upped our offer the property would be free hold on completion. So we upped our offer, with the guarantee that the property would be free hold.We decided to use a recommendation for another morgage adviser, not through burchell edwards and this is where the service quickly plummeted. We was made feel guilty for choosing another advisor and was told that our accepted offer was no longer standing as they had accepted another offer. (I wonder if they are staying within burchell edwards for their morgage)? Overall we had a really poor start to the housing market. Communication was poor, we was misleaded and fed false information. When our offer was accepted it was no longer viable because we decided to use somebody else as our morgage adviser. I would avoid burchell edwards at all costs, horrible service, rude staff and a very patronising manager (Castle Bromwich Branch). Will never use again to buy or sell a future property. I thank them for such a poor service though, because ive not had another experience like them since.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. Beware sellers, because a lot of your potential buyers either don't get to book a viewing or make an offer unless they allow themselves to be bullied into meeting with Burchell Edwards mortgage advisor even if you already have a full AIP in place. We stopped viewing anything that Burchells had on sale, which was a pity as there are a few we may have purchased. Thankfully we are currently buying through another estate agent where we had a totally different experience

GoogleReally poor service, viewed a house asked to put an offer in, which we did, and never had any response at all, even after chasing 4 times. Then unbelievable we were called a couple of week later asking if we were still interested! I told them that we were but we had never had a call back, and they promised to call me back to discuss. Guess what no call!!! Avoid at all costs. Since then we have found a great estate agent that does call you back and offers a great service.

GoogleVery unprofessional service and not customer focussed at all. Just wanted to get a quick sale as part of a part exchange with a house builder to get their commission from them. Although they had valued my house for a private sale 2 months previous to this the valuation given to the house builder was £20k less. Would not recommend at all. 'Your Move' were professional, honest and supportive from the start and stuck to their valuation given which was what Burchill Edwards also initially valued our house At.

I have been calling this agency for the past 3 days with zero response to my calls and emails.No one ever answers the calls, the agents do not reply to any emails.What’s the point in advertising properties for sale when you are too lazy to respond!

GoogleAbsolutely terrible! I don't think there is one good thing I could say about this place. Absolutely no motivation for selling your house, as the selling fee is a set price rather than commission, none of the staff was even bothered. Their only solution to selling your house faster was lowering the price, when there are other options such as rearranging images on property websites, editing the text etc but that was far too much hassle for them. Never received any feedback, in the end just had to take the house off the market and now looking forward to selling it with someone else. Would never use again or recommend to anyone. I just wish someone else would have posted a comment about them as there are so many other estate agents to pick from.

The first time I went into burchell edwards, the staff were very polite and welcoming. Me and my partner spoke with Alisha who showed us round some of their properties and Emily helped us with final details of our application to rent our home. They were super helpful and we would always choose Burchell Edwards if we ever needed to move.

I found a property to let through Burchell Edwards. I had Lisa throughout the process who was efficient, timely and honest throughout the entire time. Any query or concern Lisa always contacted me to reassure and let me know exactly what was going on. Upon collection of keys Lisa also ensured all health and safety guidelines were adhered to. Unprofessional, unethical and extremely pushy. I have never had an experience like this before where the agent and the vendor wanted to dictate to my partner and I whose services we could use in terms of an advisor. Withdrew our offer as we found a better place, but I would not recommend BE at all. Steer well clear. They make you feel as if you owe them something! Awful experience!

I am a professional landlord & moved over to Burchell Edwards (B.E. ) Some five years ago. I have completed numerous Lettings through B.E. & always found Emily to be extremely competent. Since Christmas 2023 we have completed on three new tenancies ( most recent 25.06.23) and all went smoothly.

Pushy salesman only willing to progress your offer if you use their in house mortgage broker which are no cheaper than a comparison site but charge you £600 for the privaledge. I would never use these to market my house, they get more commission from selling a buyer a mortgage than the sale of your property. They do not act in the best interests of the seller.

I can’t believe they have charged almost £300 just to renew with my previous tenant ! They are expensive for their maintenance so don’t go there. Plenty more companies out there ! I can’t wait till my contract finishes with them ! Useless and full of lies !
