Would like to say a big, big thank you to Joe Bradley and the team at DAS for helping us sell our house for a great price. Right from the start Joe was always available to answer any questions and to give advice along the way. He was very knowledgeable and kept everyone in the chain updated via phone calls and emails. He assured us that he could sell our house for a price we were happy with and he did. Can't ask for more than that. The marketing of our house was second to none. Photos and virtual tour were of a very high quality. We were very impressed. Selling in 2020 had a few challenges but, we got there in the end. Joe and the team were always very professional and polite and dealt with any hiccups swiftly and professionally. Buying and selling property can be stressful but, Joe and the team were amazing at communicating with us throughout the whole process. I can honestly say that it was a pleasure to deal with DAS and would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of buying or selling a property in the future. This is the first ever review I've written on Google, and I think it's a worthy one. Back in 2020, my wife and I decided to sell our home. We approached three local agents and Douglas Allen of Barkingside were head and shoulders above the rest. We dealt with a chap called Joe Bradley and he was professional and reliable from the first moment we met. Joe's dedication to hand-holding us through the entire sale process was exceptional, available at our beck & call 24/7 - and there were some late night WhatsApp exchanges! Covid made things very difficult for us, but DA were superb and I would recommend them without any reservation.

⭐ Joe and Faisal have been amazing! Absolute dream team! ⭐ Faisal made sure that we understood the mortgage/insurance process and was available throughout for any questions. Even during his days off, so that we as first time buyers felt 100% supported. We were initially upset about how slow the sale has been progressing, (September 2020 to complete in March 2021). But presumably, this was due to their recommended conveyancer JS LAW being flooded with work due to the coinciding pandemic and stamp duty holiday. Furthermore, I am aware that companies like Glenigan that provide search results were also sold around the time. But once Joe got involved the communication from our conveyancing team improved massively. Joe ensured that we as buyers were informed daily on the status of this sale. Aligning sellers, solicitors, conveyancers and all parties involved in the chain. Until finally today, we managed to exchange contracts. If it was not for Joe, then we probably would still be sitting around waiting for an update. I hope the support from Joe continues until we finally have the keys. Though the relationship with Faisal will likely be lifelong.

Right from Day one Joe Bradley managed the sale of our house with great attention to every detail, together with great support from Keith and Andy. What a team. I was impressed with the Andy, the branch manager drive, knowledge of the market and managing expectations of both parties to the sale transaction. Update - Just spoke to Head office absolutely wonderful compared to Andy who makes buying a house very stressful then it already is and un joy able during whats suppose to be a happy period. 0 stars if i could. I went to Barkingside estate agent and this is how they operate. I received a que jump email for a property. I called straight away to ask for a viewing. I was given a day of Monday. I got a call today for another property i advised i am not interested in this one and the one i am interested in is i have a viewing for on Monday. The estate agent then said what he can do is he can move my Monday viewing to Saturday so i can view both properties on same day. I said no i am just interested in Mondays property and if i can view this on Saturday now that you are saying i can. I was told no sorry Saturday is for VIP's only. So one minute i was ok to view for Saturday but because i refused the 2nd property viewing the interested property i am in i was told i cannot come and view this for Saturday. I had this issue happen to me before and i was told because i am not going ahead with there in-house mortgage brokers i would not get first viewings. I then mentioned is that not illegal as what if i already have a mortgage in principle. Tone was then changed and i was put on a que jump list. Now i am trying to view a property i cannot because the estate agent has there own personal preferences, Do the sellers know about this? I asked for head office contact details and was put forward to Andy who is extremely rude, I think he forgets he is speaking to a customer not a colleague or a friend. The tone of the voice used, The way he spoke over me, The way he broke my conversation so he can be heard sorry Douglas Allen are these the type of people you want interacting with people on a daily basis during a stressful period of buying a house? I was not given any head office details and was told either way the complaints go to him anyway. Completely put me off from viewing properties with Douglas Allen. I will contact head office and i will have my complaint heard. This is not how you speak or handle a viewing situation fairly. I have been completely put off from viewing the property because of Andy. I was told there is no head office contact number or email as it needs to go through him first. Very aggressive, Very rude and very loud.

I cannot thank all the staff enough for their help, patience and professionalism in dealing with our sale. I would definitely recommend this estate agency. I am based in scotland and sadly had to sell my cousins house as an executor. Although I have sold a lot of property north of the border my knowledge of the English system is limited and whatever question I had it was answered immediately and i felt respected as a customer.
