Unimpressed that they refuse to take details for potential buyers unless they have a second phone number. Most people only have the one number, no landlines, and there are real life situations where victims of domestic abuse can't provide a second number, whether that be friends or family, in case their abusers find out they are trying to leave. Also scenarios where people have no one else they can rely on, they just have their own one number. I am unable to provide a second number as this is my situation. This has left a bad taste in my mouth, and any houses listed for sale by Martin Thornton I will be actively avoiding going forward.

GoogleI can't speak highly enough. about the service provided by Martin Thornton and Lydia Taylor in particular when dealing with the sale of my late Mothers flat.
There were some complications as the sale was from the estate and I as executor live in mid Wales. However nothing was too much trouble for Lydia and I was kept fully informed all the way through the transaction in a friendly but professional manner.

GoogleWe recently sold our house through Martin Thornton and also bought our new house.
We were assisted by Elisha who I cannot praise highly enough. Throughout the whole process she was informative, understanding and helpful, and showed how exceptional she is at her job. She is an asset to the team and made the whole process less complicated than it could have been. Hopefully we won't be moving any time soon but if we were to, I would not consider any other estate agents; there's a reason for their glowing reviews!
Kyra was also a huge help in the process, she was a calming ear when there were bumps in the road and saved my blood pressure a few times!
My only niggle would be to please tone down the brightness of the lights in store! It's like Blackpool illuminations!

GoogleA very professional company. Martin came round and gave a very honest appraisal of the market and what sort of price the house could potentially sell for. He also made some excellent points about how the property should be priced in order to achieve the greatest amount of interest and "clicks" from potential buyers. The photographer was also superb, taking excellent images of the property, showing it off in its best light. The office staff are also outstanding. Elisha is an extremely knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic sales negotiator who was able to communicate effectively with potential buyers, and then later with the actual buyers, keeping all parties informed of the different stages of the conveyancing process. The other staff in the office are also excellent, displaying a very high level of customer service. As a result, my house sold very quickly for over the asking price and the transaction went extremely smoothly. I believe this was in large part down to the skill and professionalism of Martin Thornton Estate Agents. Yes, you can certainly market your property more cheaply elsewhere, but the service and level of expertise you will get elsewhere will not be on the same level as what this company offers.

When we were looking for a larger house, Martin Thornton was incredible. They recognised me whenever I called them, and got in touch via email as soon as there was a new Property on the market that aligned with our requirements. Even though we weren’t their clients when we were looking at houses, they’ve always provided top notch service - polite, positive, respectful!
When my husband sold his property, we went with Martin Thornton. The process went smoothly, we received regular updates, absolutely no complaints.
My only gripe is that the house we ended up buying wasn’t advertised by Martin Thornton!

Disappointed in this agency and its service. We arranged an appointment to view a property at Lindley park and when I met with the young man (Zac) he was very warm and polite , he made insinuating remarks about our home of origin but otherwise very friendly, when I asked for an application for the property on the phone with the office they confirmed details but never emailed me, called a second time and a completely different person said they already had submitted application for the property but would mention my name, this very informal approach was incredibly unprofessional, "mentioning my name " and not knowing who I was reeked of a dismissive attitude that pointed towards incompetence. Incredibly unfortunate.

I just wanted to make sure this was definitely intended for us... I'm afraid we do not have a property at Lindley Park for let and we do not have a gentleman working for us called Zac.
According to our system the only property you have ever viewed with us was Woodlea Avenue in Reinwood back in May 2023 and that will have been with a gentleman called Stephen.
There is another company with a very similar name to us and we are often mistaken with them - I just wanted to make sure this was not a mistake as we are a small family run business and take our reviews very seriously as we always strive to provide the best service we possibly can!
