I asked Bramleys to appraise our property before putting it on the market. I found them rude and very self assured that they thought they would decide what your property was marketed at, mentioning more than once that they had the experience to decide. He valued our house on a very exclusive street at £450k. He ending up storming out when we disagreed. We must have caught him on a bad day. We then placed our property on with another agent and it sold within 3 months. The next estate agent valued it at £600k, so we were not just a few £££'s out. and we settled on £575k He seemed a bit miffed that we had researched the area and already had an idea of what price we thought it was worth. The key is DYOR and do not assume that the estate agents are best placed to decide the value of your property and area, especially as this one was slightly out of their small catchment area.

Bramleys' have managed and let our rental properties since we bought them 9 years ago. They were originally recommended to us by a competing Huddersfield letting agent who had recently retired. They have always provided a terrific service, handled tenant issues quickly and effectively, and provided peace of mind. They have provided an equally prompt and reliable service to our tenants. We have an excellent Property Manager assigned to us, Helen Lloyd, who is alway on hand to provide advice. We value the efficient billing, statement and payment process, with which we have never had issue, and the tradesmen they have appointed on our behalf have alway done a good job. The recent change of tenants in one of the properties was seamless. Bramleys' marketing of the property resulted in a large number of potential tenants being shown the property, and in turn rendered us with a good set of applicants. We would highly recommend Bramleys.

About a month ago, we were looking for a new rental property in Huddersfield as we wanted to move out of Leeds City Centre. We arranged a viewing at a 3 bedroom property and were met by Robert. We found Robert extremely rude and uninterested and he couldn’t answer any questions we had about the property or local area. Despite this, we put an application in for the property as we liked it and were on a tight moving schedule. We waited five days for Bramley’s to finally contact us and tell us the landlord has gone with a single occupant for a 3 bedroom house. I’m not even sure they put our application forward. Awful agents. After almost 4 months in lockdown they were unable and unwilling to do any virtual viewings or video calls from the property as they didn’t know how. As anyone who has ran a business through covid knows it’s not complicated. I then drove 2.5 hours for a viewing that was confirmed by email and phone for the agent not to show! They then lied and claimed they were at the property when I have photographic evidence I was there at the scheduled time. Then as if that wasn’t bad enough they started sending me marketing materials without my permission and with no unsubscribe option which is a direct violation of data protection regulations. When I emailed them to complain they assured me it was an error and wouldn’t happen again.....until it did 3 days later. After 15 years renting dealing with multiple agencies these are the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal withNegativeProfessionalism
