GoogleI've been a tenant with Town and Country, in the same flat, for 20 years, and I have always found the staff at the Hove office to be friendly and extremely helpful. I've had several flatmates in that time, and they have always helped to make the transitions between flatmates as smooth and effortless as possible.

GoogleTenants in King George VI drive, Hove, a house that is delapidated, cold and mouldy. If I could give less than one star, I would. They are shocking. Edit: a hole in the wall has been found by us in sub zero temperatures, letting in cold air and we have been told that this is non-essential and their building contractor will not be instructed. This is despite their building contractor visiting this week to undertake other work. Our son is recovering from a respiratory virus and we have our heating on day and night and are still cold. This is an agency who does not care about tenants. As others have said in their reviews - BEWARE! Just one comment from the Director when discussing sorting out some maintenance work at the property : "dead tenants don't pay the rent!"
Dear Anna, as I have explained multiple times we can only instruct works authorized by your landlord and I have urged you to contact the Environmental Health if you feel your property is below standard - which I have assured you it is not and as the EPC shows. I am sorry you feel that you have needed to leave us a negative review, particularly after our many emails on todays date. I can assure you we take tenants safety as a top priority and we have been trying diligently to resolve your maintenance concerns amidst this global pandemic. GoogleMy partner and I have been renting in Brighton for a long time and Town and Country have been by far the best agents in our experience. Until we purchased our first property last month, we had been renting with T&C for 2 years. Contractors always arrived promptly to any issues we had and communication with the team was always friendly, professional and accommodating. Our deposit was returned promptly and I would be happy to recommend them to anyone.

GoogleTown and country has gone down hill,I rented a property for 4 years things were fine and in that 4 years I barely asked for a thing to be fixed until last summer problem after problem main problem with lounge windows when it rained it came in havin to put a bucket in place constant phone calls and emails and was always the same thing and nothing just left with awful rotten windows and wet from every time it rained ,I would report any problems even on the 6 month inspection still these things were never fixed ,I moved Christmas time to a lovely new estate agents where nothing is too much trouble and problems dealt with the same day !!i do not recommend town and company and was truly let down .i can’t fault sue who deals with the rent side amazing lady 😊
Dear Emma, we are obviously very distressed with the issues you suffered toward the end of your tenancy. Unfortunately, and as explained on numerous occasions, the issues were not problems that we could deal with but emanated from; the upstairs property and the exterior of the building. That said we continually chased those that were responsible, namely the Managing Agents of the building and upstairs property. It is a sad reality that as we were the agents of your property you feel we were somehow responsible for the delays in resolving. We hope that you have a successful new tenancy.

GoogleA lovely supportive team for first time renters. Had a couple hickups related to the property but they were very accommodating and friendly despite extrenuated circumstances. Excluding that they are a wonderful team who are clearly striving for a high level of service delivery and accommodation.

GoogleGot ripped off by this lot years ago. Deposit never returned, surprise, surprise. Unfortunately looks like they’re still at it.
Dear Tom, I don’t know which property you were in or the circumstances in how you left the property. We pride ourselves on being fair at the end of tenancies and have had next to no disputes since the deposit legislation came in in 2007. Please do contact us however to discuss. At these times when all businesses are struggling it’s difficult to resolve such complaints unless you contact us.
