We found everyone we dealt with at Winkworth to be highly professional, friendly and communicative. We would definitely recommend their service to anyone looking to sell. They worked hard to get the best possible price for our property and were happy to give us advice along the way. We never had to wait more than an hour or so for someone to respond to us whenever we contacted them. Thanks very much to the whole team for all your hard work.

TrustpilotWinkworth Plc agency - The worst agency ever
We were tenants on one of the properties they managed at Winkworth Bow Estate Agents.First, they are difficult to come and fix any house issues. They just want you to pay, and they would do their minimum or even less to manage the property.Second, we have left the property long ago, we left it in a rather good condition, for a over 4 years tenancy, and they want to keep all the deposit. It has been over a month and we are still waiting for our deposit. They are not coming back to us, they are ignoring our emails, they are just a bad agency.I have lived in many places with okay agencies, but Winkworth would be the worst. I would not recommend anyone to rent a property with them. Please if you are reading this before renting, find another agency you will not regret it.

TrustpilotWinkworth (Kirstie Barber) will lie to get your business.
AVOID Winkworth estate agents (KIRSTIE BARBER). Kirstie will give you all false info to get you to make an offer and will lie about the property’s history. She will lie and when caught red handed, will lie to you again to cover her first lie. Pure shameless or just another estate agent! Do not use Winkworth as it a very dishonest business that you will keep on chasing to get some answers and will end up wasting your time & money. Just poor customer service & liars.

TrustpilotWinkworth
Winkworth, Poringland. We called them on Friday about the property to rent minutes after it went on Rightmove. They do not offer virtual viewings even if you live 200 miles away. Agent said they are only taking details to schedule offline appointments, took our details. On Monday they said viewings arranged for Thursday but it's all fully booked already (how?) and they will see when to book us for other day. When asked to film a short video when they will be at the property to understand if it's worth a 200 mile trip - they said they can't do this.Absolutely ridiculous service!

TrustpilotAwful experience
I am a small landlord and made the huge mistake of renting my houses through Winkworths and regretted it ever since. The current dispute I am having is over the deposit and who they represent. In practice, they seem to think it is the tenant.....

Thank you for taking the time to write a review however naturally Winkworth are disappointed that on this occasion it is a negative review. All of the Winkworth offices are independently owned and operated and therefore we would be grateful if you could indicate the location of the office you have been dealing with so the matter can be looked into. Apologies once again if we have fallen short of your expectations but please do provide more information to see if the matter can be resolved.

TrustpilotFantastic handling of sale
After just completing on a sale, I can say that Winkworth (specifically Dhruv Rupapara) were a lifeline during the process. Dhruv guided me through every step of the process with patience and excellent knowledge. I would highly recommend both him and the company.

TrustpilotWinkworth Guildford - Avoid
Avoid at all cost dealing with Winkworth Guildford now changed tier name to Guildford Estate Agents. There are many irregularities with the way they carry out their business. They are the smallest estate agent in Guildford and usually under staffed, service is very poor, they have every excuse under the sun and they repeatedly let you down or try to take advantage. The owner James Quantrell talks a good show and comes across professional, do not be fooled by his persona or offer of lower fees, they will let you down.

Very rude woman who I spoke with in Property management team who they look after Paddington and WestEnd. she just hanged the phone on me when I was enquiring about how to link as an Elecctrical company with them. I then called back within 30 second and a male member of the same team told me that she is busy and cant talk to someone. very disappointed with winkworth and I am sure that this is how you deal with your customers too! would have given 0 star if I could.

TrustpilotSloppy and eye off the ball. Had their day!…
Do not monitor their contractors so charges far too high and repeat visits for boiler over 1 year costing me £1,300 and there was no issue with boiler miraculously when I refused more visits. Watch out for wording and terms on short term tennancy contracts. The list goes on and on! Now looking for new management agency. This estate agent has forgotten who they work for. Would advise to give them a big miss.

TrustpilotI would give less than 1 star
I would give less than 1 star if possible. Before we signed for our flat we requested a full professional clean take place in the property because of the terrible state of it. This was not organised and so some last minute cleaners had 3 hours to attempt to clean the property. On entering the property, on top of the disgusting state it was still in (toilets completely stained, mould, mildew, floors not hoovered, pans with food still in and going mouldy....) there were electrical faults (bathroom light didn’t even work so we couldn’t even use it, sadly couldn’t change it ourselves), curtains and keys missing, broken furniture and also moths. We raised all the issues with Winkworth who took a month to even start attempting to look at the issues. After promising a second clean and fixing the simple issues, we are still in a disgusting flat with minimal progress. As a forewarning to future tenants, Winkworth operate by having the previous tenants leave the flat, then wait for the new tenants to move in and raise any problems, they then have to negotiate with the old tenants and land lord about who pays for what, whilst you are living with the broken/ damaged/ filthy flat. Overall service has been unbelievably poor and I would not recommend them to anyone moving forwards.

TrustpilotAwful for renters - avoid
I am currently stuck in a fixed term contract with Winkworth, which I cannot get out of.They promised in writing to deep clean the carpet - and didn't do it - and subsequently lied about having done it.They won't fix our thermostat - because they say it had been broken for 2+ years - but the unit was there to see during the viewing - and nobody told me it was broken. So I can't time the heating to go on and off and it's costing me lots of money.A draw in the kitchen - after the 'professional clean' which allegedly took place before I moved in, contained dirt and what appeared to be mice droppings.Their service is awful and aggressive. They are currently pursuing me for a bill for a plumber to come out and fix a broken boiler. I've been blamed for causing the issue, but have't touched the boiler since last winter.Avoid - find a good landlord using recommendations from friends. I would't wish their behavior on anyone.Genuine review - can provide evidence if necessary.

TrustpilotWinkworth Student Deposits Saga
Used for student accommodation for my daughter and her girlfriends who are the tidiest girls and didn't have parties, they just lived there and looked after it! They paid £550 deposit each and god knows when we will see any of it! As previously said, on completion of your contract Winkworth try to charge you for damage that you haven't caused, for instance they said the paint behind the sofa has pulled off, and that it was painted the year before so they wanted £100+ for that damage. Well the sofa hadn't been moved in all the time they were there, so my feelings are, that if indeed there was some damage to the wall (which is debatable), then in my opinion the paint if indeed it was painted the year before, was still wet when they put the sofa against the wall! Also they mentioned a mark on the lino in the bathroom and they wanted a £10 contribution to the cost on new lino! Well NO, that is wear and tear and I don't believe they are actually going to replace it anyway as it was fine. When my daughter moved in the chipboard desk in her room was chipped along the edge and looked terrible, so they are hardly going to replace lino with a small mark on it. They charged for a lightbulb that wasn't working £8 and they charge for silly things here and there, but they all add up. We are now waiting to see what Winkworth come back with after we have disputed the charges and have been told by Winkworth that there will be a lot of back and forth till a resolution is reached and that it could take up to 7 months as they have hundreds of other renters doing the same thing!! My advice to current renters is video EVERYWHERE, before you check out. Move furniture and video behind it, video to show that appliance are in working order, including freezer drawers, cupboard doors etc, but still don't expect your deposit back as this company tries to squeeze the last pound out of you.Take my advice go with a local landlord like they did in 2nd year, they left his property in the same state it was in when they arrived and got their deposit back straight away.

TrustpilotWinkworth???
Winkworth???? The most worst experience I've had with this agency and the (landlord) I had Power problems in the property (only one outlet works) and I communicated that after 2 months have taken decisions to change the electrical part(that's because I asked for their certificate. inspection at the electrical side and they didn't have it)and they lied to me every time I called(I talked to the landlord and someone is coming to do it) stuff like this only lied 🤥 we have come to the conclusion that they just want to take our money and nothing else(Looking just for the landlords because there is the money)and when I left the property they tried to charge me for some missing things more expensive than the real price (new) for example (a bath cabinet with mirror that does not cost more than 25 pounds they wanted to charge me 125 pounds Ridiculous Do not be intimidated by such agentsand we as tenants have certain rights not only to pay their rent overpriced

TrustpilotWish I was able to give 0 stars.
Where do I even begin? The 7 contract changes to get what was actually agreed to? The fact the the agent cannot work out the 6 months from February certainly isn’t JUNE? That despite sending correct spelling of my partners name twice, the name was spelt wrong AND I WAS BALMED FOR IT? Or maybe the passive aggressive and rude tone of every. Single. Person. That I encountered at this company. If you don’t want to waste your time and don’t want your money stolen, I would HIGHLY recommend that you go elsewhere.
