Having been delighted with the purchase we had made through Whitmans it was the obvious choice for our sale. It was great to see from the other side how they really do know their onions. Viewings were carefully vetted and the respect shown to both us, our home and our time was really appreciated. We sold within a few viewings and we believe only an independent estate agent can deliver such a personal and non invasive service. Also a joy that calls are dealt with quickly and if not available messages are passed on. It is clear to see why they sell the most houses in Chiswick.In short wholeheartedly recommend.

We honestly couldn’t have bought our home without Denise. From start to finish, she was absolutely incredible. Denise was professional, knowledgeable, and always one step ahead throughout the entire process. Honestly one of the worst experiences…

Honestly one of the worst experiences of my 25 years living in London. I rented out my property with Whitman prior to making the decision to sell. Loyalty does not pay. Poor communication, totally lacking in coordination with others in the firm and a better relationship with the buyer than with me the client. They allowed the buyer into my flat without my knowledge or consent on a number of occasions and I eventually accepted an offer at a price I could have achieved 6 months previous to the sale.... and all the while telling me I was the lucky one.

There is no doubt that Whitman are very well experienced in the Chiswick area. When we wanted to put our one-bedroom flat up for sale, we found James to be professional, and informative. Once the flat was live on the market and we started getting viewings booked in with Whitman, we felt the service was not as we hoped for. We had tenants in situ during the viewings and the Whitman sales agents repeatedly kept saying to us that the conditions of the tenants living (slightly messy) was putting people off making offers and that we would just be better off with either waiting a couple of months until our tenants moved out so we could ‘stage’ the flat for viewings or ask our tenants to leave immediately (which we couldn’t do due to our tenancy contract, let alone making people homeless without notice)! I don’t know whether it was because we were trying to sell a relatively inexpensive property in Bedford Park compared to the usual Chiswick norm, but the sales agents at Whitman did not seem able or willing to put the effort in when conducting viewings with prospective buyers. They gave the impression that they just expected a property to sell itself. We had the flat up for sale for nearly 5 weeks with Whitman without any success. We therefore decided to ask another agent in Chiswick to list our flat straight after instead, and they got it sold with an acceptable offer in just one week of it being on their books! The flat was in exactly the same condition with tenants in situ as it was with Whitman, however the new agents were much more proactive in their approach and got the job done almost immediately. We therefore felt frustrated that we had wasted precious time beforehand entrusting Whitman with the sale our flat.
