We have just exchanged on a house because of the hard work and dedication of Kevin and the team. He has been persistent with some difficult solicitors, always been calm and reassuring throughout the stressful process and has kept all parties in the loop the whole time. He's always easy to get hold of and always professional. Couldn't have asked for a better estate agent.

Do not go with this company.I don’t usually complain but this review is needed - We were tenants who moved out early September, it took 6 weeks to get our deposit back, We were ignored constantly and calls/emails were never answered. Then we learnt they charged us for a “faulty blind charge”, it took another 3 weeks of us arguing to get it back. Unfortunately throughout the full year the agency were the heights of unprofessional, we learnt after several flat visits for a new tenancy, a visit happened without our consent while we were both at work. What’s worse when we complained we got no apology in return except excuses and blaming us. Save yourself the stress - the east london office is a disaster from management down.

We always hope deposits can be promptly returned to tenants however, if a landlord wishes to make any deductions this can add time to the deposit return process although, we would expect you to have been kept updated at all times. I was introduced to Stirling Ackroyd through my tenant when trying to sell one of my properties. I spoke with Alex who helped me register with Stirling Ackroyd, and with getting the house on the market quickly. Alex was a great help, really eager to assist me and nice and friendly to talk too. I used Stirling Ackroyd Canary Wharf office, their staff were very professional in particular Jacqueline B (Move In Manager) was understanding of my circumstances as a first time renter. She kept me informed of the process and comms with the landlord. I particularly liked the online portal; everything is in one place. It was easy for my manager to complete the work references online.

My agent Carl Griffiths has been majorly helpful in helping rent my first flat. Was punctual at the viewing and was efficient in explaining the next steps to accquiring a tenancy. He was also extremely helpful with handling the slight change in requirements and delivering on this. The whole process was handled smoothly with timely responses. Was a very pleasant experience compared to many other estate agents that I’ve dealt with prior to Stirling Ackroyd.

GoogleProfessional, friendly and efficient service! Both Daria Kowalska and Honor Clements have been available, rapid, kind, professional, transparent and efficient. Coming from abroad during the Covid-pandemics, I was unable to personally visit the flat: Daria organised a virtual visit, which perfectly reflected the real status of the property. During the whole process, Honor and Daria alternated the management of my application: the information passage between them was so smoothly that I sometimes had to check the email sender to find out who was writing me... Also after having secured the property, they further helped me settling down. Excellent job!

GoogleWe are very pleased with how Townends have handled the sale of our Chiswick flat - they have been real stars. We considered several agents but chose them because their sales team, Dawn and Aggie, impressed us as genuine, honest and hard working people who knew the market and loved their jobs. If we were buyers we would feel comfortable buying from them and we felt that was an important attribute in an estate agent. They are particularly good at dealing with people; there's none of the exaggeration and b/s that we have found with other agents that have sold our properties (and we have sold a number). They were professional, realistic and engaging. They made sure the flat was dressed well for photographs and then collected written notes from us so they could give informed answers to potential buyers. Aggie did all the viewings and she has a pleasant and infectious personality than people really warm to. The whole Townends team communicated well with us - plenty of phone calls and emails to keep us updated throughout the sales process, and they have a dedicated progress chasing team who ensure the solicitors and mortgage lenders do their bit when they need to. They certainly don't just work 9-5 office hours either - they all communicated evenings and weekends so we were always in the picture. We felt that Dawn and Aggie ran things like it was their own business but with all the advantages of the Townends group - and that's precisely why things worked so well and they secured an excellent price for us. I will definitely pick them again and can recommend them wholeheartedly. It's well worth picking the phone up and asking for Dawn's advice on a sale - you won't get the flash, over-confident front person trying to secure your business that I've found elsewhere, you'll get down to earth, straightforward advice from people who know how to sell your place.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

We chose Stirling because they seemed competitively priced, about 2% cheaper than other agents, but it was a big mistake. They collected rent in advance, only passed on about 55% to us. They even took commission upfront for rent not yet invoiced.

He was so helpful, punctual & charming that it made my property search a lot more relaxing as this can be a stressful time.
