Awful company for tenants. The issues I had with this company are too many to mention The highlights are having a delayed move in date. Moving into a filthy home that hadn’t been cleaned. Living with leaks and holes in the ceilings that were not repairs for months. And when they were repaired … it was like they were repaired by cowboys. Such as using gloss paint to patch up a ceiling so it stood out. Finding out I had 2 months notice from the sold sign outside my home. To taking 5 weeks to return a deposit and illegally hanging onto it. The company lack any focus on tenants and quality and desire to resolve issues. Please avoid them. My like has dramatically improved now I know I never have to have any contact with them.

Friendly, professional service.We chose Pattisons for the sale of our house as we had our eye on one of theirs to purchase, fees were competitive and loved how the house featured on all house apps and web platforms. House sold within 2 weeks and offer accepted on purchase soon after. No complaints for the estate agents and Dean was monumental in ensuring the sale complete and both my buyer and onward purchase ran smoothly.The only gripe I have is with the solicitor that was recommended, Bideman solicitors acted on my behalf for both sale and purchase and they were truly terrible. Had taken on more work then they could manage with emails and phone calls being missed or not replied to for weeks… I would definitely use Pattisons again should we move but will definitely be finding our own solicitors. Huge thanks to Dean and team for all their hard work and efforts in these uncertain times! ⭐️

We are sorry to hear that you feel the service you received did not meet your expectations. Prior to bidding, all prospective buyers are advised to carry out their own due diligence and ensure they are comfortable with the process and terms before placing a bid, as doing so enters them into a legally binding contract. Any funds relating to reservation fees and deposit liability are clearly outlined within the auction terms and conditions, which all bidders are required to review and accept prior to participating. Once the property has exchanged, any matters relating to failure to pay or complete fall between the buyer and the seller, with our role being to facilitate the auction process on behalf of the vendor. We can also confirm that this matter was previously reviewed and addressed prior to this review being posted. While we regret that you remain unhappy with the outcome, we must highlight that the process followed was in line with the legally binding contract and terms that were accepted at the point of exchange. We appreciate your feedback and wish you the best moving forward.

What a difference 18 months make. After a recent incredibly poorly managed auction by the Blyth branch I no longer trust this company to carry out a fair and transparent transaction. Moving auction dates, giving no time for the legal pack to be checked, allowing other bidders to drop out at the last minute, and allowing lower bid increments than listed in their T&C’s. It’s all very suspicious and it’s not the kind of business I want to be dealing with. If (and it’s a very big if) I purchase any further properties through Pattinsons it will be via head office not the branch. *** Previous review from Jan 2020 ***We have bought a number of properties from Pattinsons over the years and their service just keeps getting better. Our latest one with the Blyth branch was a breeze. It was an auction property we bought before auction, and unlike some others we looked at had reasonable fees attached to it. Caroline was an absolute pleasure to work with and Terri holds the Crown as my favourite estate agent. Keep up the good work guys. We will be back for more!

Dealt with Jarrow branch, Dean was amazing from start to finish he really was. Such a pleasure to deal with and couldn’t help me enough with the sale of our house and the purchase of our new property. I felt Pattinson really went the extra mile for us and they were always updating me every step of the way. Jason is great too, really knowledgeable and nice guy who put ours up on the market and knew exactly how to get it sold. I wouldn’t have a hesitation to use them again and I would recommend them to anyone.

I found them so helpful. They kept me updated on the sale of my house from start to finish . It was in lockdown as well things were difficult. They did all the viewings organizations with the tennant for access was not easy with the corona virus . But the team from Jarrow did me proud and got the job done . Excellent service from Caroline at the regional branch. Our house sale took a long time due to the buyers solicitors/lockdowns however Caroline was always happy to help chase solicitors and the buyer. As we were always on hold to the solicitors Caroline always rang them, when we told her we struggled to get in touch with them, and she regularly sent emails to the various parties involved requesting updates and ensuring everyone was kept in the loop of what was currently happening. Caroline was professional and polite every time I contacted her and all the other staff at the regional and Bedlington branch was also happy to help with any enquires I had, or ensure Caroline received my messages. Overall an excellent service was provided.

Pattinsons Houghton le spring office Have to say have been ok with our purchase but when finding out a issue and the property has been sold via auction it’s too late but think you need to really make sure that what you write in your description is correct as it’s now costing me more money

Very unprofessional, told us our offer was agreed and vendor was happy and property would have no more viewings and then suddenly they said they had a higher offer. Depends who you speak to, some staff seem very inexperienced. Must be one of the only estate agents who allow viewings once an offer has been accepted. However when I went to buy a property they wouldn't let me view as they said the offer had been accepted, so contradicting themselves, even when I tried to explain this, no apology just said this was usual practise!!!

A 5 star rating for a 5 star service at Pattinson South Shields. Keith, Branch Manager, Lucy Mouter, Senior Sales Negotiator and Emily are highly professional, knowledgeable and caring, all of which are essential traits when dealing with customers who are selling and buying their homes. Lucy is incredibly approachable and even though I was selling and buying throughout the lockdown period, we kept in regular contact via phone and email with Lucy always taking the time to provide regular progress updates at every stage of the process. I was referred to Mark Hewison, Three Rivers Financial Services for mortgage advice, again he was highly professional and took the stress out of applying for a new mortgage, I would highly recommend using this company for financial advice. Thanks to Pattinson’s South Shields,I am now the proud owner of a beautiful new home. Thank you for making this happen. You are amazing.

I'm a prospective cash buyer trying to arrange viewings on 2 properties up for sale with Pattinson's. They promised a call back last week to sort out some viewings but never did. When I called back today for an update, the person trying to transfer my call didn't realise that I could hear what was being said - the person on the other end couldn't be bothered to take the call and argued loudly with the first person - I could hear it all!! And when she told me she was "having difficultly transferring" so the other person would phone me back directly, what a surprise - still no call back hours later! So unprofessional. So what sort of service are they actually providing to sellers? It's not surprising to me now that the properties have been on the market for many months unsold - not just market conditions with that sort of response.In this case, I guess it's a case of SELLER beware rather than buyer beware!
