Good overall expierence

We were impressed by the quality of the build at Harron Homes Retford and found the same at Brierley Heath but with the addition of added views and the surrounding park. Ann the sales representative helped in many respects. Being strangers to the area and not able to visit regularly kept us up to date with the build and regular photographs and telephone updates. Provided useful information on where and what was available around Sutton and Mansfield. The site staff have all been polite and carried out the odd repair needed efficiently. All have been helpful. We have just moved into our harron home at cressacre green harlington and just want to mention how amazing our home is everything about it is perfect, Jane and bronte have been amazing the customer care is fantastic on this site it really is. The workmen and managers of this site are also fantastic and are very hard working and gone above and beyond for us and for that we are thankful. The new contracts manager of this site is a lovely man and couldn't do enough to make sure he sorted us being on our home for the date we wanted to be in honestly great team and wonderful houses built. Would highly recommend harron homes.

AVOID HARRON HOMES!!!!!!!This company are a joke they pride themselves on building luxury homes ha ha far from it. It's like cowboy builders. The houses are in a shocking state, poor painting plastering brickwork. Leaks from pipes in bathrooms not connected. They bodge so many houses.how they pass CML gods knows its wrong.Ours was a joke.They don't care and their customer service is simply not bothered. Yes the show homes look nice but it's not what you get.Please don't buy trust me go elsewhere save yourselfs the harron hassle.Every review is bad on here that says it all.

Have visited Thorpe Meadows, Holmewood Chesterfield. The show homes Windsor and Settle are really awesome. Met sales executive Mat Elliott, he helped me understand all the details with respect to buying first home and also gave his expert advice. Having first visited the site in June 24, we moved into our forever home on time at the end of November.We were kept up to date weekly with photo’s & info with the progress. Hannah and Meryl have been a delight to communicate with throughout the build.The site manager has visited us to discuss any concerns we may have had, and has made plans to rectify any faults.I would recommend Harron homes without hesitation.Well done all.

Shipley Lakeside is a unique location with a welcoming team

Shipley Lakeside is a unique location. Both Charlotte and Amanda were welcoming, professional and knowledgeable about the development and the surrounding area. We hadn't made an appointment when we visited today and they found time to answer our questions and to help us settle on a house type. We've visited other developments in the local area and their teams weren't a patch on Charlotte and Amanda.

Would definitely recommend

We recently bought a house at Riverdale Park in Doncaster. We honestly can't fault the process. So far any hiccups that we have had have been dealt with in an efficient manner and everyone has been really helpful from Penny the sales executive to Scott the building manager. We honestly cant fault anything so far. The area itself has everything you need opposite the development site. It makes it convenient if you need anything. Its close to a park / a school etc.

Victoria Heights - Fixby - Happy Customers

From start to finish the whole experience has been seamless. Harron and Jacquie in the sales office in particular couldn’t do enough for us. We had a number of issues with buyers dropping out in our chain and Harron stepped up to make the sale happen keeping us in the loop all the time. When we moved in the house was spotless with nice touches of welcome gifts such as a plug in diffuser making the house smell lovely. Coffee and tea plus biscuits were a nice touch even though the removal men polished off the biscuits 😂Harron historically haven’t always had the best reputation as builders but I can honestly say this is my second new build (first with Harron) and a great customer experience.Based on my experience I would 100% recommend Harron Homes at Fixby Huddersfield

Far Grange Meadows

Far Grange Meadows-House is fine enough, but cheaply built. The main problem is that the development isn't finished so we have to deal with builders blasting music all day and shouting and swearing at each other. Not very professional or child friendly. They don't seem to consider that they are working next to people's homes and not on a normal building site.

Dormer issues

Plot 123 Hockley Croft, Glass reinforced plastic (GRP) bedroom dormer. A catalogue of continued errors and questionable quality.An original problem of a small area of damage / chip to front dormer edge reported 18th June 2024 and here we are 21 September 2024 still with scaffolding up to the front of the house.Scaffolding naturally went up to reach the dormer and the dormer manufacturer came out to repair the chip in the GRP relatively quickly. This was the easy bit. From here on poor quality product and build quality quickly became obvious as now that access was available to the dormer, it was discovered the flat dormer roof design which should incorporate a slight fall to allow rainwater to flow off was in fact concave and a nice big puddle was sat in the roof. The roof had zero fall. We had noticed slight water staining on the plasterboard ceiling in the bedroom below so now we had the answer as to possibly why or so we thought.The elusive house builder customer services eventually arrange for the dormer manufacturer to return, again. The plasterboard ceiling of the dormer was taken down in the meantime by the house builders own snagging man, and it is discovered the GRP roof above had not been braced from the underside when installed so hence the roof dip and puddle above. The dormer roof company return, again, and the roof now receives its required bracing from the underside, they also fix some cracks and other chips on the roof, and you'd think things would now be rosy once the plasterboard goes back up from the underside? - nope, you'd be wrong. The dormer roof company whilst onsite fixing the bracing then notice a lack of support for the last row of roof tiles which sit above and behind the dormer and this row of tiles had consequently sagged. They inform me no underside tile support had been fitted in this area and that a compressible foam seal between the dormer and the last row of tiles had also not been fitted and it would therefore be possible for rain and water to be blown up and under the tiles if it was windy whilst raining. The strain on the row of unsupported sagging tiles had also caused one of them to break. So, guess what? We now had to wait weeks for a roofer to be appointed by the house builder and for them to attend and come fix the sagging row of tiles. This they eventually did after regularly having to chase the house builder customer services. The roofer removed offending sagging and unsupported tiles, inserted a supporting batten, compressible foam seal, replaced the broken and damaged tiles. Job’s sorted and you'd think things would now be rosy now surely? - nope, you'd be wrong again. The roofer whilst fixing the sagging tile issue identified other cracks and dubious joints in the GRP dormer roof surface structure which may cause issues if not now then possibly in the future. The merry go round continues.So here we are 21st Sept 24 and 3 months down the line, and we still have a big issue with the roof and wonder if it’s going to leak or not. The quality of product ball remains well and truly in the house builder’s court, and we hope the builder can live up to its website advertised “At Harron, our homes are always built to the highest standards” claim. Is the product supplied to us fit for purpose? Personally, we’ve not had a good experience, and readers should make up their own minds if considering one of this builders new homes. In our case the evidence does not support the builders’ claims. If it was a new car, you’d return it to the dealer.

When we went for a viewing, we didn't expect much due to the surrounding area. We were so welcomed by Ann as we arrived to the sales office! She was so pleasant and explained in details the house specs as well as the process. She questioned us of our needs and matched us with the perfect house! As soon as we stepped in the house we knew - this was our home! She has been on the case non stop, contacting all relevant people to get this move done quickly and efficiently! Helpful but some bumps to iron out

Really helpful advice at every stage. A few of the internal pictures are of the wrong house when first looking which is less than ideal, but they accommodated visits to the style of property we were interested in. Once reserved some of the links don’t work in the email but paper copies of the next steps document mitigated this. The sales executive was very helpful and more than made up for the technical deficiencies.
