Julia has been attentive, helpful and has been available at all times of the day to help with our numerous queries. Fantastic experience with Patricia and Louise at Cotchett Park

I would like to dedicate my 5-STAR review to Patricia and Louise at Cotchett Park, I wish there is a Million Star rating to give them, whichever I say or write won't be enough to highly praise these 2 amazing ladies. Starting from my phone call with Louise with her most welcoming tone, taking the time to explain on the phone and her kind invitation to visit the estate, look around and consider my options to when I first walked into the office and the first thing I saw was the beautiful, warm and most welcoming smile of Patricia.Both Patricia and Louise were most fantastic and amazing this afternoon, they took the time and made massive efforts to explain everything to me in detail with all the kindness and patience of the world, because as a first time buyer I didn't have a clue of anything and didn't know anything about the process. But Patricia and Louise made my experience fantastic, explained everything and listened very carefully to me and considered all what I told them about my requirements for my home and my circumstances. Patricia made massive efforts showing us around the estate and houses. She was extremely kind and helpful and never made us felt rushed, on the contrary she was going out with us in the rain showing us around the houses with her beautiful smile and kept telling us to take our time and don't rush.I managed to reserve a wonderful Avant Homes house this afternoon with Louise and Patricia's help and started the purchase process.Louise made massive efforts explaining every single detail and sorting the documents and paperwork. She kindly introduced us to the mortgage advisor and soliciter, and made the process much easier.I highly recommend Louise and Patricia from Avant Homes at Cotchett Park, if you would like a fantastic experience and a wonderful home. We all as a family are ever most grateful to their extreme kindness, beautiful smiles and attitudes, and massive efforts.Extremely Happy Customer😊

Avoid avoid avoid

There is no doubt that avant build homes which have a lovely interior with many more things included as standard than other builders, to a high specification. However, this simply just means more problems and more poor service. We bought our home in 2019 and had a snag list in excess of 400 individual items, some minor which are to be expected and some pretty major which are still not completely resolved. Some issues are fixed quickly, others involve an argument. When buying a new build I expected to have some snags, however I expected them to be fixed and I expected the house to look like a brand new house and when snagging we took the view of what we would see as acceptable should we have had the work done in our home by a tradesman. Unfortunately Avant Homes are all about money and blame. Nothing is their fault and they want to pass the cost of anything to anyone else where possible. Sad thing is, if our house had been and signed off correctly to begin with they could have saved themselves a fortune in coming back out to do work. There is a serious attitude problem with a lot of the management and staff within the regional head office. I'm absolutely disgusted by the way I have been spoke to by several senior people at Avant Homes. It's quite simply gas lighting and in my opinion this shouldn't be allowed. The psychological games which they play should not be legal, and if gas lighting was a criminal offence we would have pressed charges against Avant countless times. Avoid avoid avoid. Their only saving Grace is a couple of nice site managers and girls in customer service. I would not go anywhere near avant homes again. Vile company.

Rude, haughty estate agent

First meeting at Skelton went well. Sales agent was lovely but did not have any 2 bedroom houses to show us. Later called me and we spoke and said there was availability on their Sherburn in Elmet so booked it in. Unfortunately had some issues day of and anticipated we would miss our appointment so called the number we were given and told the lady we would be over 20 minutes late. She said it was okay to still attend and she would pop over an email to the Sherburn site. Arrived there and of course did not expect to have an appointment but we wanted to see the home and had been told it would be fine regardless. Sales lady at the site was so pompous, speaking to us like we were children. Even though we apologised, she kept trying to usher us out saying she had no space for us (again we weren't expecting her to abandon her current appointment, we just wanted to see the house we had confirmed we could see and driven over 40 minutes to see) until I said her colleague on the phone had said the house was available to view. Funny she said she had had no correspondence but yielded once we let her know that. That's when she relented a bit and coldly let us through, treating us with so much disdain. The house was fine, but difficult to truly appreciate when you've just had a sour experience. Hopefully she has more grace for future clients

Approachable, professional and polite

My wife and I have had several conversations and met with Lewis Simms at Avant Homes, Ambretone Park development in Green Hammerton. Lewis has been approachable, professional and polite in his dealings with us. He is currently going that extra mile to help us put together a package to assist us in purchasing a new home. There has been no pushy selling and a lot of transparency on how Avant Homes like to work and deal reasonably with their customers. We haven't yet finalised our purchase, but I have every confidence that Lewis will do everything possible to make this happen.

We recently bought our first home and with Avant homes. We’re first time buyers and our experience from the beginning with Peter was brilliant, and still is.We encountered a few bumps in the road on our journey in the beginning but Peter asked us to keep going and remain positive. We’re so thankful we listened to him and trusted him as we did end up with our home which we just didn’t think was going to happen at one point.He really did keep us hopeful and positive throughout our journey with buying the house. We’re so happy in our new home and is always nice seeing Peter on site and getting a wave and a chat with him. Our dog loves visiting Peter and even gets a little treat. He’s a lovely guy and it’s been a pleasure having Peter part of this journey with us, he has been so kind and helpful.Kept us updated with the house and how things were progressing: since moving into the house he’s always there for a chat and a friendly face too. Oddetes point keighley avant homes

I first began researching avant back in December where I first contacted Abi from sales. Purchasing a house is a huge decision and you can expect i had millions of questions over a matter of weeks. Not once did Abi falter in delivering excellent customer service. Always remained polite and patient and constantly reassured me with any doubts I had. She always made time for me.I decided to go ahead with purchase as Abi managed to get my family a good deal. Even though there was a delay which almost impacted the sale of our old house both Abi and sales director Hannah managed went above and beyond to sort the situation out which we are extremely grateful for. I eventually moved into the avant home in keighley and even though Abi is in sales,she still checks up on my family to make sure we are kk and supported me for some of the very small snagging issues I had. Based on her service alone I'd highly recommend purchasing a home in oddettes point in keighleyReview of quality and site manager to follow

Bought our house in November and where…

Bought our house in November and where one of the last people to move into a relatively small development (c.80 houses)..... since then, we have gone through 2 project managers that have left for other sites with no handover and 2/3 customer service contacts. We were told all our doors inside would be changed due to damage from works prior to handover plus there is paint all over the inside of the doors when their painters decided to close doors on wet walls ( prior to handover ). Timeline was 10 weeks - still waiting on new doors. The spotlight is hanging out of it's fitting in the en-suite shower - told it would take 8 weeks to fix.. still not fixed. Our garden decking is raising still no reply on when it's being fixed. There is a list of small snagging list (front door doesn't lock properly unless forcefully close the door, drainage, painting ) . We feel we have been patient and understanding but it's the lack of updates and professionalism that's now that makes us regret buying through Advant - which is a shame as the homes are beautifully designed, but poor quality of work/finish followed by one of the most inept customer service team/aftercare programme I have came across undervalues the design. Overall, I believe this comes from a serious lack of leadership from Director level down as looking at the comments within this thread it’s a common theme which doesn’t appear be addressed.Reply to Avant: Plot 79, Ellis Vale developmentStill no further forward and if anything the issues raised above are increasing. We had someone come out and look at our front door issues only to find the door had not been sealed hence why we had issues closing the door. Our decking is starting to raise and our slabs starting to crack/move. Customer service have not replied to my previous compliant - sent the complaint 4 weeks now. This has to be the worst company to deal with after you have bought. The customer service is non-existent.

Where is the duty of care to their…

Where is the duty of care to their buyers? I suffered a horrible fall and now have a life changing injury to my right arm. After two operations I have been told that there will never be any improvement to movement, strength or ongoing pain. Avant left a drop to the side of my house with no railings to prevent a fall. Avant's response was that they are unwilling to take any responsibility as the drop is 3cm within regulations. I couldn't work for almost 7 months, no income, weekly physio bills and I've lost a lot of my independence. Thanks Avant, for the sake of spending a few extra £'s on a small fence to prevent an accident. Worse still on informing your customer services they couldn't even be bothered to spell my name correctly, they simply dismissed my complaint. We purchased a property from Avant Homes on the Radford Meadows development late last year and completed on the property 4 weeks ago in August, on time.The customer service from Avant pre completion has been second to none. Louise and David provided us with regular updates along the way and answered all our questions. If questions couldn't be answered by the on site team, a clear route of escalation to David was fantastic and he closed out the questions. Move in was a stressful experience with some complications but nothing to take away from the 10/10 service provided.Post completion, we had multiple issues and in excess of 50 snags, we expect a level of snags but this was higher than expected. If work is rectified in a timely manner, we would have been happy and this is exactly what happened, 4 weeks into the property and over 75% have been completed and this is thanks to Matt. Since the date of completion he has been visible and given us regular updates on time-frames and date of works. Again, 10/10 service and not the experience we have had elsewhere.Overall, Avant have accommodated our requests where possible including the change of plot late in the process. We have had an excellent experience with the team throughout. This is our third new build property, we would not hesitate in recommending Avant to potential buyers on Radford Meadows.

First ever new house purchase

This was my first new home purchase and I have to say I was a little nervous as you only hear the bad news stories rather than the good ones. Whilst it was a rocky completion on the day I got tye keys at 16:30. The house looked stunning but with all new builds I guess you can expect a few issues. There was a few but the site team (Matt Swan & Brett) were there to support me and gave me great confidence that everything would be sorted. I can’t be more grateful for the support they’ve given me helping not only with the small snags that needed sorting but also with some of my own projects etc. Matt calls most days to ask how I’ve been, do I have any issues and deals with the odd few I’ve had without any problem or hesitation. Both Brett and Matt have been amazing and have made my first home move one that I would happily repeat again should I ever feel the need (I doubt it as I absolutely adore the house, location and view I’ve got). Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Avant homes but would give most of the credit to the amazing site support team.

This review is for the Bradley point development in high spen, rowlands gill near Newcastle. The sales rep was “Bella” All in all I had a pleasant experience with this purchase. Bella was professional and answered all of my questions, she did all she could to help and always answered emails when she was available. the home under went a full Rics surveyor before purchase which allowed me as the buyer to have some reassurance that it was built well. The survey came back great. Very minor snags only. And a week later from when this survey was completed, I came to collect the keys and I had contractors out dealing with the snags. The house was left in a very good condition for me to move into. It was easy and straight forward to choose the tiling and the kitchen counter top colours and drawers. And was supplied with photos throughout the process. There are a few reasons I left only 4 stars and not 5. It’s best to be clear and honest and hopefully this review serves some use. 1)I was recommended by avant a solicitor which is Jackson’s law firm. Unfortunately this wasn’t a good fit and they caused a few snags along the way. Most of which was simply bad communication.2) as always with purchasing property there can be minor hold ups. When these occurred there was times I struggled to communicate with avant even as we neared the finish line. I think it’s important to always have clear contact info for someone who can help when and if you hit any issues with the process. There were times as we neared the end I felt rushed, I asked several times throughout the process to get a survey of the property done before we go further ahead. Obviously the developer has certain time constraints which I understand but as a buyer to need to ensure your property is up to standard and allowing the buyer to come in with a surveyor as soon as possible for mere peace of mind I think is extremely important. But again this is a minor point. However, all in all, avant have been pleasant to work alongside. The house is grand. I was treated well, and I would certainly recommend avant to others to use in the future.
