When it comes to site sales advisors, some other developers should take note!

First of all, I want to say that we have encountered no problems with the quality of the house. The build itself has been fine. We are in a 5 bedroomed Chesham.However, there have been ongoing issues regarding our plot, with works required now for 12 whole months. Time and time again, we have been assured that the works are going to happen, we have even been given dates by various people in customer services, and by the site team. And yet, time and time again, the works have not happened. I have an extensive email trail, where the customer services team commit to making things happen, but invariably, they don't happen. The amount of time that these endless communications have taken over the past 12 months is absolutely ridiculous, and as I say, we have been let down time and time again.Avant - please stay true to your word - you need to be better organised.

We have had issues with the house for over 2 years and they will not address them The Customer Services are rubbish I'll ring back ,I'll email you ,send more photos of the problem, I'm on site I'll come and see you these are most of the replies you get and nothing happens We have continued issues with badly fitted kitchen doors falling off The land at the end of the drive should have been landscaped but it was left and is now an eyesore. We areextremely frustrated and disappointed with how we are being treated

Last year we reserved a show home after seeing the build quality at Avant Homes. The windows and doors are not flimsy at all and will stand the test of time. We fell in love with the bi folds as a standard and the size of each room did not make you feel like it was a new build. The bathroom items are stylish and well fitted. A lot of thought goes into each house and the workmanship is 100% there. While we waited for our completion day, we read the reviews on trustpilot. We braced ourselves for a fight to get all issues ironed out and in a timely manner. It's been 4 weeks since we've moved in and I can honestly say that I now feel part of the Avant family! Customer service are ALWAYS available to get that call logged or to answer your question. The workmen call ahead and pop in on the off chance they can get it fixed quicker than quoted. The bug list is minor. I've logged things like the light on the front needs tightening to scratches on a radiator. As you can see they are very minor but Avant do not make you feel petty when logging it. They send the most amazing and highly skilled person round to not only make you smile but to get the job done to your standards and sign, only if your happy! Everyone at Avant goes above and beyond to make sure your dream home stays a dream! The reservations we had at the beginning of this journey has now gone. We've spoken to Sales and Customer service teams to directors and formen and everyone have made us feel like the decision to buy an Avant home will be the best decision you've made.. and they are not wrong! Thank you to those individuals at Avant, who know us and have made us laugh instead of cry every step of the way.

TrustpilotFriendly staff, but no printed Brochure material
Friendly staff, but no physical brochures. The issue is when out one doesnt have a lap top with one, and so to look into each has to wait until you return home. This is a lost opportunity to position and sell to us. It is all well and good cutting that cost, and stating look when you get back, but the mood you are in and driver changes the more sites of others visited. Hard to put one next to the other when you have no brochure and they do.

Avant have given us our forever home, its a modern high quality build with so much potential. We looked at a number of other house building sites but none of them matched the features offered as standard that Avant does. The process was smooth and well explained and all of the face to face interactions with the sales and site staff have been professional and friendly. Recommended!

Having reserved at the higher spec I have been delivered a lower spec (as specs changed but I wasn't informed) I was unable to move in on my move in day as at home demo I found 106 faults (that figure has doubled since then). This was delayed by 2weeks for things such as pipes sticking out, walls collapsing, half finished jobs. The level of workmanship is well below standard especially considering the cost of the property (a lot is being carried out by what appears to be apprentices which is fine as people need to learn but this should then be checked over by someone experienced which isn't getting done). I have now been in the property for 6mths and still have outstanding work. Customer services are extremely poor at giving you timescales, workmen often don't turn up, you get conflicting information. My site has seen 4 site managers come and go in less than a year which speaks volumes. I would not recommend Avant homes to anyone! I don't have one good work to say about them unfortunately

Worst level of customer service I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with.Did you know, that even when Avant have carried out home repairs and the problem remains, they abandon you at the 2yr mark because your warranty expires? They do not guarantee any of their repair work! I've been waiting 12 months, for Avant (who are builders), to find a contractor to come and correct the holes in my brickwork to the front of my house!! Am.I missing g something? Or is this literally your job? It's absurd. The real issue at the moment though, is its moving into summer months and Avant are still responsible for our site maintenence (even after them leaving site nearly 2 years ago, the site is still not up to spec and hasn't been adopted by our management compay). The absolute embarrassment I feel, driving into our weed ridden jungle, is awful. I kid you not, in some parts of the estate, the grass is 2ft high! And they could not care less. Customer service don't want to know. Roads unfinished, bins not emptied, fences broken, land flooding, we have the lot. Not to mention that we have no safe way on foot to leave the estate, because Avant won't build the bridge that was in their contract because its too expensive. Seriously, you have to be prepared to dedicate a LOT of hours chasing issues, trying to hold them accountable for their building and maintenence standards and ultimately getting nowhere. Once they have your money, they don't care.

I wish there were a zero rating optionWe've lived in Wynyard Park for just over 5 years, no end of remedial works were needed to the house when we moved in and anything that still wasn't rectified or brought up to standard after the first 2 years Avant washed their hands of.The estate itself is a mess, the main road in was only completed recently, the pavements aren't finished, the communal grass areas have had to be maintained by residents as Avant don't care about the state of the place now they have their money, but Wynyard Park won't maintain these areas until Avant make good leaving the residents in limbo. Same with the roads, they won't be adopted until they too are brought up to standard. Radio silence from Avant.We are trapped on this estate unless we get in the car, there is NOTHING here but houses, with more being built.The "different vision of living" that was sold to us was a pack of lies, there are none of the country walks, cycle paths, community spaces that were promised. Let alone a shop, pub, community centre, or anything that was sold to us.We are threatened with legal action for trying to access the surrounding fields that haven't yet been built on. They have literally fenced us into the estate.If you are considering buying here please speak to residents first as potential buyers should be aware of the way Avant and Wynyard Park operate.

Bought a house at Wynyard, promised the world and get nothing. We pay a service fee and have pot holes, unfinished paths and we even have to cut the communal grass. No secondary school, shop, bridge or children’s play park… it’s ridiculous, DO NOT BUY FROM AVANT.Wynyard park do not help the situation,all complaints are always deflected back to Avant even though it’s their land.Nothing will be done regarding the bridge over the A689 until a tragedy happens, they’re putting lives at risk.

Unfortunately, you can't give a zero, so it makes Avant ratings look better than the real value.This is my second Avant Home because the first wasn’t built to standard! When I moved into this house nearly 5 year ago, I left a good review because they did a good job of getting the second house right. HOWEVER, 5 years on and I'm still getting fobbed off with "sorry we can't do anything as you are out of warranty" (even though I've been reporting issues since moving in. We've just got the main road in; we have unfinished paths; blocked drains; missing and dead planting; absolutely no landscaping maintenance (grass cutting and weeding). Our estate cannot be adopted by the local management company because Avant have failed to meet the required specification for it to be handed over. My property suffers flooding from the adjoining field, has damaged my drainage and patio and I can’t maintain my garden. We pay fees and see nothing for it! Residents have been forced to maintain the landscaping as you could lose a small child in it! We paid a much higher house price premium to live on this development with an annual ‘estate’ charge. We bought a dream, oops sorry…. VISION and have lived a NIGHTMARE (especially where my house is located). It’s going to take a miracle to appease disgruntled residents of this community. FINISH OUR ESTATE AND GIVE US WHAT WE PAID FOR!

If there were an option to rate Avant a pitiful zero, I assure you, I wouldn't hesitate. As a resident suffering for far too long, I've witnessed our once promising estate deteriorate, rotting in the chaos left in Avant's wake.The problems are glaringly obvious, the pathways are disfigured by damaged tarmac, presenting a clear hazard to pedestrians. Our drainage systems, ironically, are clogged with the very debris discarded by the builders, transforming our anticipated rainfalls into potential floods, rather than the nourishing events they ought to be.Our public spaces, expected to be verdant retreats, now mimic overgrown jungles. The neat hedgerows now appear as if something has been brutally dragged through them, symbolizing the neglect we've been subjected to.The fences, meant to secure and adorn our spaces, are in a pitiful state. The trees - once symbols of life and beauty - stand as painful reminders of broken promises. Many have died, others are simply wonky and damaged, a stark contrast to the thriving greenery we were assured.Avant's final act was to build the last house on this estate, then without a second glance, they abandoned the site. Their neglect has been a persisting pain for us ever since.Every resident was wooed with grand promises, only to be disillusioned by the harsh reality, a far cry from the assurances we received. We've been left to grapple with the aftermath of Avant's negligence, with no visible pathway to restoration.I voice these words not out of impetuousness, but from years of harsh experience - AVANT IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED. If you are considering purchasing a home from them, I implore you to tread cautiously. Don't let their sugar-coated promises cloud your judgment of their potential actions.

Zero estate maintenance leading to overgrown grass, roads and paths not finished, Play area or walkways haven’t been completed. Estate should have been handed over to the estate management company at least 1 year ago, but due to Avants complete neglect and unwillingness to bring the site up to standard we are left paying fees and receiving no service.Contacted them regarding shared driveway being laid wrong and told nothing they can do despite them admitting it was wrong when sending me the drawing showing private and shared areas.Needs addressing!!

Avant Promise the world but don’t deliver.I have had five leaks in the first 3 years, the last few they weren’t interested in as much upside of two year warranty.Land to the side of the property that was theirs was raised randomly which now causes flooding to my gardens and garage.Has took them three years to put a surface down to my road & the green spaces have just been left to turn into a jungle.Absolutely awful, will Never buy Avant again.

Awful customer service. I wouldn't have purchased my home had I known beforehand how poor they really were. Sales team were 'okay' - nothing special, but nothing really bad, but the aftersales and customer care team are truely terrible. You're lucky to get a call or reply at all. Been in months now, missed appointments to have snaglist items resolved on multiple occasions. Refusal to arrange workmen outside of work hours so it's more time off from work each time. I've never known a company so disorganised. It's worth noting that compared to some of the stories I've heard I think I've faired fairly well on what has gone wrong with my property, but I still have a much longer list than I expected honestly. I'm from Waterside quarter, lovely estate, great looking homes, terrible customer service, you won't get anything broken fixed, simple as that. Nothing so far as been resolved on my property. Be warned, if you purchase assume zero warranty or support or be left frustrated and disappointed.

The worst level of customer service I have ever received. Once they have your money any level of customer care is completely gone. Damage to every door front in kitchen which was highlighted the day before keys were exchanged and still chasing to have this rectified over 6 months later. 7 failed appointments and days of annual leave later and nobody bothers to turn up to appointments. Emails go completely ignored, there’s no escalation process and I’ve been swapped between customer care reps at least 4 times in as many months. Nobody takes any accountability for anything. I’m having to chase the subcontractor for the kitchen myself who are just as useless and downright rude. Front door does not lock, gap in gable, cracked tiles in bathroom, draining issues in garden, drive is falling to bits. AVOID THESE COWBOYS.

Adam Kniveton was excellent. Very speedy to replace a broken drawer. Very friendly and understanding. Initial customer service wasn't great but that is no detriment to Adam who was spot on.
