One of my worst experience buying a house from hunters auction. House was listed on website and tenanted for a fixed amount of rent which I was told by the auction agent called Robert. Also house was in bad state but got told tenants don’t care so why do you. Only to find out later on that tenants have never paid anywhere near that amount and it’s so much lower. So was lied to first of all and then later to meet the tenants and for them to tell us all the work they was promised and they wanted the house fixing top to bottom. What an absolute joke and waste of time and money. Keep your money and go elsewhere they will tell you anything just to sell a house that is overpriced

TrustpilotRude, poor service - a must avoid for renters
Rude, get passed around from pillar to post while they try to ignore your requests or questions. Tried for years to get them to fix things but just continually fell on deaf ears. Now they're trying to claim issues are my fault which are down to shoddy contractors (which they use consistently, including at one point despite having had yearly gas checks, I get told that the previous 6 years hasn't been done properly and the build up that caused a leak was because of this. Everything is everyone's issue but theirs. Renters, avoid at all costs!

Even though there were some issues along the way that were outside of our control, Darren stayed professional, supportive, and proactive throughout. GoogleWe just sold our house with Hunters. We had a great service from them. They were always contactable or would respond ASAP. Demi kept us informed of any viewings or cancellations. Darren Bailey was brilliant at giving advice and guiding us through the whole process. Once we had a buyer, Darren rang me weekly to give updates or advise if l needed to take any action. Our solicitors were rubbish but Darren kept things moving by chasing them up. The whole selling process was fairly painless and quick. I would recommend Hunters.

I have to say the two of them made me feel at ease, they explained everything I had queries about and they were friendly and always responsive. Then there was Darren who was also very understanding and provided excellent advice. I was not felt rushed or pushed in any way, and was given all the time I needed to make final decisions. Our property has just been sold by them now ( in just a few days) and once again a very professional service. I remain deeply disappointed in the way my most recent complaint has been handled at their Newcastle branch. The way the branch manager speaks to tenants is appalling! If you have a complaint then don’t expect any sympathy or accountability. We have rented this property for 11 years and in that time, we have been superb tenants but sadly that doesn’t mean anything to them. I anticipate a reply to this which will more than likely attempt to completely contradict what I’ve written here but just know that our experience has not been a positive one!

1 bed property Sparks Close, Dagenham, RM8 - Landlord and hunters agent where complicit in illegal procedures regarding discrimination. We went through all the paper work and wasted 2 weeks till they call me and tell me the Landlord dont want a baby in the property. Don't trust them slow untrust worthy. And definitely dont rent the sparks close 1 bed property, Landlord seems like a handful save your self

GoogleGood evening, First of all apologies, this is an overdue but well deserved review for Hunters Estate Agent Hayes, Abun and Darren Bailey top blokes 5 *, hats off all they way for their commendable service, Abun undertook the initial viewing for the property in Harlington, toplad !!! dependable team member !!! We gave our formal offer, it was successfully accepted, We had the usual painstaking delays when it got to the legals and the usual roller coaster ride of technicalities, despite the setbacks and the turbulent stages Darren had faith we were not going to pull the plug on the sale and not follow it through, Late out of hours evening calls were initiated by Darren to keep the ball rolling and the fire alive in the proposed sale metaphorically speaking, undertaking the 5 - 6 way conversations and keeping the proposed sale proactive and remained positive all the way, We got there in the end during the latter part of 2022, exchanged, completed and collected the keys to the new property, It was by far the best experience of purchasing a property through Hunters, excellent process undertaken until the transaction was signed on the dotted line and completed, Our agent's Abun & Darren's experience and deep understanding of the market were invaluable. They provided an exceptional service, were always punctual, and were incredibly responsive to our queries. They turned what could have been a very stressful process into an enjoyable experience, Both were professional, helpful, and quick to respond. GoogleI put my house on the market with Hunters and dealt with Tommy and Demi to start with. Both very pleasant and understanding. Once the offer was made I was then liaising with Darren each week. Darren is very engaging, understanding and made the whole experience much easier and less stressful. In fact, when i did feel a tad stressed Darren reassured me and his sense of humour helped. My experience selling a property in the UK with this agent was extremely frustrating. For over four months, they delayed the transaction. Despite my constant follow-ups, they kept giving me excuse after excuse, like mortgage problems or minor issues, saying it would happen next week. Eventually, I told them I would pull out and sell to another buyer, but Matthew insisted I still had to pay. I also want to warn people about this company, be very cautious, because in the contract, they include terms that are unfavorable to the client. Once you sign, they do very little to follow up, and you can’t even be sure if the buyer will complete the deal. Their main priority is just getting you to sign, and regardless of whether the sale happens, they still take your money. And when I tried to back out, Matthew actually threatened me, saying that if I didn’t pay, they would escalate it to other departments. I feel this is a form of intimidation.”
