Just recently completed on a house brought through Berkeley Homes and they were there from start to finish with help and advise on any questions we raised The house is beautiful and handover was made so easy with all the appliances explained fully as to how they work and sales staff were so helpful They will be our "go to" when we sell and look to buy another property in a few years time Well done Berkeley Homes

A high quality home with outstanding customer service
We bought a house off-plan in Highwood Village. Throughout the whole process the Sales and Post Sales team of people made sure our experience was great. They answered all our questions, helped us chose the decor and kept us informed of progress each step along the way giving us ample opportunities to see the house as it was being completed. Even the Build and Construction teams showed pride in their workmanship and made us feel welcome whenever we met. Once we moved in we could see we we right to trust that Berkeley Homes would build and deliver a high quality home in a well thought out development for us to enjoy! Highly Recommended.

Poor quality builds
I purchased a home built by the Berkeley Group at the Acer apartments in 2022. We have had issues from the moment they delivered the building. The main entrance door to the building keeps breaking down during the winter. The intercoms have not worked for the entire building in 4 weeks and they have malfunctioned many times before that. We currently have a huge issue with damp rising from the ground in the basement and all the doors they installed in the basement broke shortly after completion. Multiple pipes are leaking. The elevators have been out of service multiple times. Some neighbours have never had their heating work due to poor quality microbore heating systems that simply get stuck. The list goes on. Very disappointed.

Shoddy work paying high prices for!!
We purchased our property in North Bersted Bognor Regis in 2017 which is quote some time ago. We've had multiple issues of which most we've just sorted ourselves. Missing screws from door handles, sawdust not cleaned out of locks, causing them to jam and break. Sinks leaking, and most recently after moving our integrated dish washer noticed the shoddy work by several trades. If this is what Berkeley Homes call High quality then I'm gob smacked.High-Quality HomesImplementing high-quality standards and targeting zero defectsQUOTE We build quality homes that delight our customers in every detail. We adhere to stringent and enhanced Build Quality Assurance (BQA) arrangements, providing training to our staff to help implement these, checked through rigorous internal and external audits. The above statement is off thier website. !!If I could submit photos I would as its clear the site manager who would be in charge of signing off the Homes clearly needs to either visit spec savers or do his/her job properly. £320,000 we paid for this property.

Sales good, rubbish aftersales
Everything done by the sales team was good, but it was only good up until that point, once they have your money they don't really care anymore. Customer service response time is slower than the NHS. Though let's be honest, if you can afford one of these homes you should be able to afford to fix any problems that come with the home afterwards, right? Right??

Discrimination of clients
We had the most disappointing customer experience one could imagine. We made a deposit for a flat and after a couple of months we got a phone call from Berkeley sales manager saying that they are breaking the deal because of our nationality. Our family is shocked. Berkeley rejected to compensate the cost of solicitor services - more then 4k pounds which is a big hit for our family budget with a small kid. This is a disgusting and discriminatory company.

A ZERO star for Berkeley!
A ZERO star would be appropriate for Berkeley Group. Living in Cassini tower is a NIGHTMARE so far. We’re living the worst experience of our lives! Poor finishing, lousy management, poorly installed appliances and the worst communication skills we’ve ever seen. We’ve been without running hot water for days with no explanation or justification of any sort. I would never deal with Berkeley again and certainly not recommend them to anyone.

We bought a lovely new flat on Highcroft Development in Wallingford. The whole process was superbly handled by the team. It’s a great place to live - not just a flat.

I just bought a property in Kingston. A lovely experience and a lovely apartment. I found the sales team very effective and professional. I would definitely recommend St. George's to any one who wants to buy an apartment. Reiss was very supportive in handling matters concerning the apartment I bought.

Buyers beware
Buyers beware ! See note sent to Berkeley Homes from us at Green Park, ReadingGood evening,We received by post a photograph of our vehicle outside our front door. Apparently, we are to pay for this intrusion. Some kind of levy for parking. We wish to inform you our vehicle parks on our drive, except of course when it is in use, and this includes such dull things as going out to buy food and such like and bringing this into our home. We also do other ordinary stuff like packing things into our vehicle before a journey. We take exception to your or affiliated individuals or firms intruding upon our privacy and asking for money. This is no more than begging without a cause and a nuisance. Take this as notice from us to you to cease and desist this pernicious behaviour. We tolerate no intrusion or hindrance to the ordinary enjoyment of our home and reasonable use of its environs. Doubtless you will want to share this with senior management. Anymore notices or other communications demanding money or threat of something will be taken to the police with copy of this complaint. No other communication will be sent to you, or any persons or firms affiliated to you.Take note and stop this intrusion forthwith.

House Held Together with Pritt Stick
I have been living in a Berkeley home since January 2019 from a new build and since then my roof has literally been slipping off three times since this date. The first time when we had winds the tiles just slid off. This was within the two year warranty period and Berkeley did arrange for this to be repaired. However, the second time it happened two years later I complained to them as the roof tiles literally just slipped off again and also this time causing a roof leak. To this they replied it was because I was living in a windy area?!! There are far more windy areas around the UK and in particular coastal regions where roofs do not just slip away every time there are some strong winds. So the third time in 4 years as I write this, loads of roof tiles have literally just slipped off crashing into the back garden and also smashing through my glass garden table. Not only is this causing stress with the cost of repairs if I can’t get this repaired through their Premier Guarantee but the danger to life having roof tiles just flying off as a blessing no one was actually standing there at the time. Now I wait again for the roof leaks that I only got repaired two years ago with no help at all from Berkeley Homes. The amount of money these houses cost does not reflect the shoddy build and zero customer service once they’ve grabbed your money.

Houses were built to poor standard, I have experienced no end of problems since moving in. When I raised this, Customer care manager was incredibly rude. Such a shame as their houses are not cheap. AVOID AVOID AVOID. I wish I could go back and avoid this dreadful company!!

Highly Recommended Developr
I recently had the pleasure of engaging with the Berkeley Group for a property investment, and I must say, the experience was exemplary. From start to finish, they demonstrated a commitment to quality, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. The communication throughout the process was outstanding. They kept me informed at every stage, addressing any concerns or queries promptly and efficiently. This level of transparency instilled confidence and made the entire journey smooth and stress-free.

A Mixed Experience
We have had a bit of a mixed experience with Berkeley Homes.Overall, I would certainly buy from them again and that’s always a key test. They have many excellent people; the company ethos is strong; and the houses are fundamentally well-built and well-designed, with high quality fittings. On top of that, the site layout is excellent, with a great sense of space and no expense spared on the very attractive landscaping. Having bought new houses from Charles Church and Bewley Homes in the past, I still think Berkeley are probably the best, high-end developer. However, there have been issues.Initially, we were disappointed that our chosen combi oven and carpet were subsequently unavailable and we felt obliged to pay to upgrade the latter.More significantly, as is their prerogative, Berkeley Homes insisted that we complete our purchase in August 2023 and we spent the next 4 months living in the middle of a building site. We’ve experienced this before with the aforementioned competitors but the Berkeley experience has been far, far worse. I think Berkeley themselves would admit that, in this case, they got the timing wrong.A second major issue has been the central heating, with an overly complex system which quickly proved incapable of dealing with the winter’s first cold snap. After much teeth grinding (and teeth chattering), this was eventually fixed by simply increasing the water flow through the ground floor underfloor heating pipes and recalibrating the rather excessive number of heating control panels which were all found to be 2-3 degrees out. Neither of these faults would have occurred if the system had been properly tested.More detailed gripes: parking on site and the erection of garden structures is (supposedly) strictly controlled by the developer but, so far, both have been poorly managed. Our snagging list has also been a little more extensive than expected and the fixes have taken rather longer than we would wish but we now have dates in the diary for the remaining issues to be remedied.Over the last 4 months, I have given Berkeley Homes full details of all the above issues, big and small, and, to their credit, they have been apologetic and never argued about any of them. I am confident that, helped by a little persistence on my part, our home will shortly be something of which both we, and Berkeley Homes, can be proud.

Very good client team but Riseam Sharples Law is extremely unprofessional
Everything is good, especially the client management team. But, the recommended solicitor firm Riseam Sharples is a nightmare. They didn’t provide any ontime qualified service at all. Didn’t reply emails more than a month, after the exchange finished for two months, they sent an email to ask for all legal documents because they CANNOT find them.......
