GoogleHaving phoned 3 times requesting a viewing of a Highworth rental property, I rang again today, agent apologised as yesterday was a busy day. Asking when I’d like to view, baring in mind others are viewing tomorrow, I explained that I was off work yesterday and today, which had been discussed last Friday was also ignored. Blasé response.

GoogleWe had arranged to rent a property through them following a video viewing due to where we were at the time and having been assured it had a secure garden for our dog and that it had outside storage as no garage at the property.. both were essential. We paid a substantial holding deposit that has never been refunded even though following a niggling gut instinct that saw us driving 4 hrs to check the property before moving in date saw us discover that in fact the garden was open between the property and the next door property allowing our dog to get through into a public lane that led to a main road or a huge public recreation area, there was no external storage at all, the property had not been decorated in years and windowsills actually had huge chunks of paint missing, the back door had a huge hole in it and the kitchen units were in a dire state.... the current tenants also advised us that the carpets were going as were theirs.... The video never showed us any of this.... It's been a valuable lesson learned..

GoogleI made an enquiry for a rental property. I received a telephone call to book an appointment. This was scheduled and confirmed. I arrived 10 minutes early and when the agent didn’t show at the appointed time, I telephoned the mobile number I had received the text on and on the office telephone number, no answer and I left messages on both. I received a text message 20 minutes later to say that sorry, but they had forgotten to advise me that the appointment had been cancelled. My partner had driven from Birmingham specifically for this viewing. The landlord has lost potential rental income, the agent has lost commission and management fees and Samuel Miles has lost a recommendation.

GoogleRented a place for 4 years no issues. House left immaculate. Messed me around on deposit. Called to speak to them was abused, laughed at and ignored. Absolute joke of a company. Avoid at all costs.

Considering we were dealing a director of this estate agent, we expected the best service. However we got no enthusiasm to go and get buyers and when we pushed for results, he told us in no uncertain terms to take our business elsewhere! And so we did and our bungalow has now been sold. Would not recommend.

GoogleStay away from this company if you're renting! We moved out of a property and they accused us of leaving the property untidy (when we spent hours cleaning it) and wanted to charge us almost half of our deposit just to fix general wear and tear. I've been told that they did it to every tenant that had lived there!

GoogleEveryone at Samuel Miles, both in the Sales and Lettings team are efficent and helpful. As well as having helped me purchase a property in the past, they also manage 2 buy to let properties for me. They are very personalble, and will always return your call. The Samuel Miles team are professional, they have a great reach, and get the job done.

GoogleHilary at the Highworth office /branch, was very rude and difficult to deal with. Unfair tenant charges and deductions. Poor customer service towards good tenants.Will not be reccomending.
