GoogleI own and operate an established property management business in Hull and I recently enquired about viewing a property for myself which Hudson Property were marketing. Unfortunately we missed out on the property but at various stages Hudson Property were in contact with clear and professional updates around the sale right up until the sale was agreed.
Although the price and property weren't quite right for us this time around I felt respected as a buyer, I wish all estate agents had this attention of care to prospective buyers. There's nothing quite like good old fashioned service and putting the customer first.

GoogleWe instructed Hudson’s back in July 2019 and our house sold within a few weeks of going on the market. Hudson’s told us we had a financially sound buyer who could proceed with the purchase regardless of whether their own property was sold but unknown to us Hudson’s didn’t verify their position. Our house was ‘Sold Subject to Contract’ for over 3 months and then it turned out the buyers couldn’t afford to buy our house and its all fallen through. Our property is now back on the market, at the bottom of the list on Rightmove with very little interest. We have had no help from Hudson’s in trying to sell our property again. No apology for their failings on the first sale. Hudsons only advice to achieve a sale is to drop the price. We’ve asked for photos to be refreshed, for the property to be ‘Featured’ on Rightmove for a few weeks to try and generate more interest but nothing has been done. My feelings are that as we paid the selling fees upfront they don’t care and aren’t interested in helping us get the best price for our house. Definitely wouldn’t recommend and will actively discourage friends and family from using Hudson’s. Terrible service.

We're very sorry to read this review, Victoria, as the last thing we want is unhappy clients and customers, and ultimately we always want to achieve a sale for the best price and as quickly as possible. Without going into specifics, what we would like to say is that sometimes buyers change their minds about how they are going to finance a purchase and sometimes they mislead agents. Whilst we always do everything we can to thoroughly vet buyers and their finances, it sometimes just isn't possible to cover every eventuality. We continue to actively market the property and have another viewing booked in. We do not recommend featured properties because we believe they are a gimmick and a waste of sellers' money, but we are always happy to arrange one, and we made it clear that we could do so if required. We were asked to consider changing the front photograph, which we are very happy to do as we have 54 different images of the front of the property. We can't go into further details on this platform due to client confidentiality, but we would be happy to sit down with both our client and with you to discuss the situation and our service. Nevertheless, we are very sorry that we have failed to meet your expectations and we really hope that we can find a way to make amends.
