GoogleAfter originally listing our house with another agent, we turned to Steven and his team with the hope of a more proactive approach. This is exactly what we received! Unlike our previous agent, who seemed to adopt the 'let the buyer come to us' attitude, Steven focused on some old-fashioned estate agency ... identifying the market, targeting likely clients and then presenting the property and the opportunity it affords accurately and effectively. The result was that a property that had sat on the market for eight weeks, and four without a viewing, was then sold in just two weeks by SimplyHomes! We couldn't be happier with the service Steven and his team provided. Always professional, courteous and effective. I couldn't recommend SimplyHomes highly enough.

However, you persevered, liaised not only with my purchasers and the people I was buying from but with the whole chain- eight in total- to ensure it did eventually happen. Your experience, determination to do your best for me and my family, kindness and enthusiasm made a stressful situation bearable! I was impressed also with the fact that you give your time freely to ensure the sale went through and you are definitely not a 9-5 operation unlike other estate agents I have used in the past. You were only too happy to answer a query at 9pm at night or 7.30 in the morning. That fitted in beautifully with my hectic work schedule. Thanks to you, we are now happy and settled in our new home. GoogleWe had Simply Homes sell our house ,we thought it would take ages , when we agreed to using simply Homes from the 5 agents we had come to give us a valuation ,we were told it would take just 3 weeks there about to sell.I have bought and sold many houses over the last 40 years ,but have not had such good service as I have with Simply Homes .Steven Mel and Ben were all great with the sale ,good communication with all parties involved and friendly with it .AND YES IT DID SELL IN 3 WEEKS .well done great team work all of you ,should I ever move again I would definitely go back to them. GoogleWe sold our family home of 23 years with Simply Homes. The service from Stephen and Ben was exceptional and the sale went through very smoothly. Stephen also found us a very unusual property that I immediately fell in love with and would not have thought of viewing if he hadn't guided us in the right direction! Selling and buying property in the UK can be an extremely difficult and emotional process and estate agents are often criticised for not communicating clearly with their clients. Both Steven and Ben kept us completely up to date with developments and returned texts and telephone calls promptly. Hopefully I won't be requiring their services for a good few years but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone wanting to buy or sell in Hertford. Thank-you!

When searching for a property in Hertford, I saw an apartment advertised by Simply Homes estate agents - one I was not familiar with. I was able to view the property the same day and they were very accommodating when I wanted to go back for a second viewing. As they knew I wanted to let the property, they also arranged for three local Letting Agents to meet me there, which was extremely useful. Unlike many agents who lose interest once a sale is agreed, Steven was always prepared to go the extra mile to overcome problems and get the deal over the line. George dealt with my house sale in a professional and friendly manner. I was never made to feel that my questions were silly, (which they probably were!) and he was always on call to deal with them. Would highly recommend him and the firm to deal with any future house sales.

GoogleWe had a multiple viewing on a Saturday, 15 mins each ,and was told offers had to be in by the following Monday. Late morning on Monday i telephoned the office and enquired if there had been any other offers and was told only one. I asked how we would proceed and told by the sales person that I did not to get into a bidding war situation. I was assured that was not how we operate , each of you will be given an opportunity to bid twice and the final bid will be final and have to be in by 16.00 on that day (Mon). I was told that my second bid was the highest and the deadline past. The following day I telephone to ask for a longer viewing and if possible could we go back later that day. Later that morning (Tuesday) I got a telephone call from the Sales person informing me that a higher bid had come in that morning. I said how could a higher bid come through when the deadline closed yesterday at 16.00. She said I am under instruction from my boss (Ben Shaw) to ask you if you want to increase your offer. I said this is a bidding war which you assured me you did not operate this type of negotiation. Needless to say I did not increase my second and final offer and I will not do busines with this company in the future.
We are very sorry that you had a bad experience with us. Inevitably where there are several offers and further offers for a particular property there maybe a disappointed purchaser because it remains our legal duty to submit all offers regardless and execute our vendors' instructions. Our vendors remain 100% satisfied with our ability to exceed their expectations.

GoogleIf you want a personal service use Ben and George . I bought and sold through Simply Homes just over 5 years ago. For the last year I have been totally messed around by other estate agents, pulling various strokes and being gazumped. I’m now buying a second property with this fantastic team and can’t believe how stress free and simple they are making it for me. I can’t wait to move in to my new house and will only use Simply Homes if and when I sell my my present home.

GoogleI used Simply Homes to purchase my first home, and George my agent, has gone above and beyond to make it a smooth process since the beginning, from contacting them after seeing the property online, the purchase, communications with my solicitor and the vendor. He understood my situation with working abroad, explained and was patient with me while I went through the process. The estate agent continues to help me to this day. I hugely recommend them.
