Hamptons in Hertford sold our house 30/6/2026. From Ollie and Katie-Rose who first attended to value and review at the start of our journey to Alex Clements, who was our appointed agent, they were all great. Alex was amazing. He checked in most days, was always available when we needed him and listened to our needs and concerns. Alex was always courteous, supportive and very professional, as was all the Hertford Hamptons agents. Selling a house in the UK isn’t the best of fun but everyone at Hamptons helped us stay positive and certainly took a lot of the pain out of the process. I highly recommend them.

I highly recommend Hamptons in Hertford and Alex Clementsin particular. Alex at Hamptons in Hertford have just sold our late parents’ beautiful equestrian properties for us in Benington. Hamptons were highly recommended to us and I’m really not surprised as they’ve been quite amazing. Their photographs and marketing were superb. The thing that made all the difference was the personal service that Alex always gave us. His communication was exemplary and nothing was ever too much trouble. If you’re looking for the best local estate agents you must go to Hamptons in Hertford. We really can’t thank them enough. However if Hamptons ever recommend Jackie Morris House Clearance based in Dane End again avoid them like the plague. We were all dismayed to find that antique garden furniture and plinths were removed from the garden and apparently “donated to charity” which we doubt. They were clearly instructed verbally to only clear the two dwelling and touch nothing from the garden. Their second quotation confirmed this in writing as the original quotation had included this. The bill was over double their written quotation, their later communication when I was desperately trying to retrieve my item was unprofessional and rude. I do not in any way blame Hamptons for this situation.

They achieved the full asking price for us but beyond that there communication was excellent keeping us fully up to date on progress and responding promptly to any enquiries we had. From Oliver carrying out the initial valuation and appraisal to Alex and Katie-Rose supporting us with viewings and prospective buyers, the service was excellent throughout. I certainly wasn't the easiest client to deal with, and in the end we decided not to sell our property. This was no fault of Hamptons; the current economic climate simply made the risk too great for us. Despite this, Alex never applied any pressure and handled all of our requests and changes of direction with professionalism, patience, and understanding. I cannot recommend the team highly enough.
