We met both Sophia and also Alice on 25th April to tour Ramsgate and view a range of properties. Really helpful and likeable ladies, with good knowledge of the local area. Really liked that they were both non-salesy (not of the pushing to sell each property), just their honest sharing of the area, the house, and answering all our questions, and promising to get back to us where they couldn't immediately answer. Really enjoyed meeting with them both. Also very punctual, friendly, approachable but professional - nice balance.

Our experience with Miles and Barr was very good. At all points of our house buying experience, the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. However, deserving of special mention is our Sales Progresser Debbie Mead. She was exceptional. If it wasn't for Debbie, and her knowledge, experience and communication skills we are not convinced that we would have reached the completion stage. She pulled all parts of our chain together and was tenacious in getting results when, all others appeared to be struggling to maintain the flow of information. All in all, Miles and Barr provided us with a first rate experience.

Tell me, when is an estate agent not an estate agent? Anwser, when they are Miles and Barr. They share a symbiotic relationship with GOOD LORD that is just plain unlawful as I will explain. Miles and Barr Ramsgate, are a letting agent. My tenant is moving out. Stupidly he gave them a £276.00 holding deposit for a new rental (I do not know how much the months rent was going to be) He lost all that money when he failed the referencing GOOD LORD! The Tenant Fees Act 2019 was a law that was induced off the back of corrupt and unscrupulous people masking as genuine landlords and agencies. This Act states that a holding deposit can be no more that one weeks rent at at time. If it is it is, 'An unlawfully retained holding deposit.' One would assume then that the Miles and Barr rentals team would follow this law as a matter of protocol moreover they should have told my soon to be ex-tenant he would lose he's money, after all would they of not had previous knowledge of this happening to prior renters? The next thing that happened was quite extraordinary. Miles and Barr manipulated my tenant and sought to exploit me in a classic case of gaslighting (The Equality Act 2010, Direct Discrimination) They coached him on how not to pay hes last months rent to me. So, lets summarise. Miles and Barr robbed my tenant of £276.00 and then coached him on how to knock me for half a months rent ( like good cop, bad cop) It's just the plain exploitation of the poor and needy. My tenant then started behaving atrociously as Miles and Barr fed him a diatribe of garbage. As i tried to warn my tenant that he was being advised wrongly, he said "My agent has told me I have done everything by the book." Interesting. I have all the evidence on my phone. I have the letter that my tenant said was for the council (now I know it was Miles and Barr coaching them through a made up tenancy agreement. I have my evidence. There is little to say of you. The less the better.

The only involvement we have had is through their recent application to rent a property with Miles and Barr. The referencing company failed your tenant’s referencing checks and as a goodwill gesture, we have refunded the holding fee back to your tenants and we retain no further monies from you or your tenant. We understand you are now experiencing issues with your tenant because of them not being able to rent a property from Miles & Barr, which is outside of our control. We wish you all the best and hope that your current letting agent can guide you through what to do next.
