I came across Hunters after we had already discussed valuations with 4 other agents. I contacted them in order to book a viewing. They called me back later that day to update me that an offer had been made on the house I was due to view and had been accepted. After this I got them round to do a valuation as I really appreciated the honesty and customer service. They were amazing and I am so glad I made the choice to use them. As a seller I could not recommend Hunters more. They keep you up to date but aren’t intrusive and are professional but friendly. They went out of their way to help and reassure me on numourous occasions and hope I get the opportunity to work with them again. As a buyer we have recently dealt with a few estate agents who have disappointed us and I am kno that any of people viewing our property would have only had the best customer service. Amazing estate agents!

I am posting this on behalf of my parents Jim and Kay Jamieson of Hereford: "We have known Alison Fuller of Hunters (formerly Humberts) for over eleven years, she has just sold a second house for us. This is our 9th house in fifty two years of marriage and the first time we have used an Agent for a second time. This is must be unusual in today’s hyper competitive market but loyalty and concern for the client’s needs and welfare deserves the reward of repeat business. One outstanding person does not compensate for an indifferent or inefficient office but, as in other walks of life, so often we see an excellent team emerging with best practise spread by example. We are now buying possibly the last property we will ever purchase but hope when the time comes for it to be sold Hunters of Hereford will still be polishing it’s reputation for excellent service. I do not believe that clients of the many Internet Agencies now advertising so aggressively will get the standard of service we have received in two difficult sales."

Rude and unprofessional

I had a viewing arranged and nobody could give me a meeting point for a large apartment building with several entrances. Spent nearly 20 minutes at the location wondering around and trying to reach the person that was supposed to show me around, all calls declined. Office couldn’t get through to her either and when she finally calls me is to rudely tell me off for not showing up at a different entrance when she never told me where to go, speaking to me in an angry tone and then hanging up.

We have taken our flat off the market…

We have taken our flat off the market following 2 failures by the agents in Filey. All seemed well to start with,enthusiastic staff produced good pictures etc. We had a viewing, a few days later we had the good news that the lady was to purchase. 3 weeks later, we were informed that she was indeed NOT buying our flat, but another in our block, still not sure where the responsibility for this lies. The second occasion, we had a second viewing from a few months ago, so were really excited. 5 minutes after the appointment we were informed the gentleman didn't even have his property on the market !! Apparently, we should have stipulated we only wanted people who are in a position to proceed. Never have we heard such stupidity, thought agents sold properties !!??

Electing Not to Evict Violent Tenant which Assaulted Another Tenant with a Knife

I am compelled to write this review to express my deep concern and disappointment with the lack of action taken by Hunters in response to a serious safety incident within one of their managed properties.Recently, I was assaulted by one of their tenants who not only brandished a knife but also forcibly entered my apartment and injured my cat. This shocking and dangerous incident has left me and other residents in the building feeling vulnerable and fearful for our safety.Despite the severity of the situation, and their tenant pleading guilty to assaulting another tenant, the response from Hunters has been shockingly inadequate. Instead of promptly addressing the issue and taking steps to ensure the safety of all residents, the management has refused to evict the responsible tenant. This decision is not only a blatant disregard for the well-being of other residents but also a failure to uphold the basic standards of tenant safety and security.It is deeply disheartening to see a property management company neglect its responsibility to maintain a secure and peaceful living environment. The safety of tenants should be paramount, and it is unacceptable that Hunters is allowing such a threat to persist within the community.Prospective tenants, please be aware of the lack of security and prioritization of tenant safety at properties managed by Hunters. In the face of a serious security breach, the management's inaction speaks volumes about their commitment to the well-being of those who entrust them with their housing needs.I urge Hunters to reconsider their stance and take immediate action to ensure the safety and security of all residents in their managed properties.Michael Ryan

Had Hunters out to value my property…

Had Hunters out to value my property for sale but got really bad vibes from the valuer. Found them to be unprofessional so went with another agency (who were amazing)Unfortunately a property I liked was up with Hunters. Tried to negotiate a deal on the property but the communication through Hunters was not good. I don’t think it was the process rather the person handling it. When negotiating you would expect them to act as professional intermediaries however they were disinterested and as cold as a wet fish. I would have been better dealing directly with the homeowner and we may have been able to make a deal. I left my offer on the table but I have no idea if that was ever passed onto the homeowner. I’m sure there will be some great Hunters branches out there but I’ve not come across one yet. My heart sinks a bit now if I see a property up with Hunters. I just don’t want to deal with them ever for a purchase.Edit.We did end up buying a house through a Hunters branch. Although I did do the deal directly with the homeowner in the first instance we agreed on how to proceed and then we went to the agent. They were actually very good so I guess it’s pot luck which branch you use.

Totally disgusted

Totally disgusting practices. This company are selling a detached property next to my home. They say it’s impossible not to include a photograph of the full frontage of my house as well. I requested the photo be cropped or changed. For a few days I regained my privacy but again the original photo has returned and is all over the internet. They say they can’t show their clients garage without my house being in the picture. Absolute garbage as the garage is on the other side of the house being sold not next to my house!!! It’s obvious they are using my home to paint a picture of a nice residential road. It’s 100% possible to take a photo showing the house , driveway and garage of their clients property without including my home. Awful just awful.

S. YORKS. If I could give a negative score, I would. What an absolute bunch of useless w-----s. As a tenant we, get 6 monthly inspections, not a problem at all. The problem is, they hardly ever do the work needed & when they do, they employ the most r------d & incompetent person possible & the quality of the work is ALWAYS s--t. When you complain, they do nothing about it. For people using them as an agent: they are letting your properties deteriorate while charging you the earth.

This is one of the worst company ever. My deposit is stuck with them for more than 4 months now. mary.mcgarry is the worst representative to work with. they never respond. we have been following for 3 months over call and emails but they pick up call and then keep saying we will get back to you. Never wok with Hunter.

Would wait days for responses to emails, take multiple attempts to get them to pick up the phone and when we did get our new home we found that it was full of an absolute mountain of crap. So much for any due diligence before selling the house? Do they not check that the previous owners leave it in an acceptable state before handing it over?

Don't fix the leak for 8 months

They respond only to the simplest things. Whenever it becomes tiny bit more complicated - nothing is taken care of. We have a leaking pipe on the outside of our property for 8 months. We let them know about this in the first several weeks of our tenancy. Over 8 months it's been back and forth, and NOTHING about this leak has been fixed. Every time someone takes a shower, we have a shower in our conservatory. They do send the workers, true, but only when there is no rain. And these are new workers every time, who look at it, scratch their heads and do nothing.You need to chase them every day, if you want to have anything done. They don't care about you, don't care about the property. The worst experience with the estate agents in my 12 years of renting.
