Our house had been on the market for some months when we switched to Sears. Richard and Oliver proved to be friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They conducted all of the viewings and did not waste time taking people round who did not have a real intention to buy, just to keep numbers up. Our sale faced a number of unexpected challenges and resulted in some difficult decisions having to be taken. Richard was very supportive and gave sound advice based on what was in our best interest. It was always possible to speak to someone and eventually our sale completed. The Sears' fee was very competitive and well earned. A good job well done.

Myself and my partner have just finished a four year tenancy with Sears and Co and I can honestly say they are the perfect estate agents. Richard is a highly experienced agent and has extensive knowledge of the property market which enabled him to get a price for us that exceeded our expectations. When the time came to sell, we called Sears & Co because we have heard only good things about them. I got through to Stacey who was very professional and arranged a valuation with Richard soon after. Richard impressed us with his local knowledge and professionalism during the valuation and we decided straight after to list our sale with them as we felt the level of service offered was way above the rest. Throughout the sale Stacey kept us up to date on everything, we never had to chase an update and the whole process was extremely smooth. I cannot say the same for our purchase through another agent though! Sadly our move collapsed on the first occasion, through no fault of Richard and his team, but all went through successfully the second time thanks to their support and professionalism. We have moved a number of times over the years in the Hemel area and unfortunately our experience with other agents was not nearly as positive as the one we had with Sears & Co who were like a breath of fresh air. I used Sears not only to buy my house but also to sell it 6 years later. Richard and his team are such a pleasure to deal with and their communication and professionalism set the bar compared to other agents I've encountered in the past. During the sale of my house Richard seemed to take the approach of a marketer rather than a salesman which was very refreshing. He clearly has a good understanding of market trends and buyer behaviours, and ensured my property was marketed in the best possible way. He is very calm and down to earth and nothing is ever too much trouble. He was also very good at listening to me rather than just making assumptions, something other agents seem to struggle with. I recommended him to a friend as well who was struggling to sell her property and he had a buyer for her within a week. Highly recommend, and wouldn't consider using anyone else if I returned to the Hemel area.
