I just need to give my greatest appreciation to the hard work, support, and help we received from Mr. Gary Moss, who went above and beyond during our experience with Accord Homes. He patiently listened to each and every one of our endless questions and concerns, and addressed every single one of them with enthusiasm, as if they were his own concerns. He also did a great job and arranged a second view on a busy Saturday, which meant a lot to us. Also, they provided us with excellent service while we were looking for a house, showing us several houses and when we found the right house for us, they looked into everything and stayed with us until everything was completed. Dishonest and unprofessional conduct “Accord Sales and Lettings” I would strongly advise potential buyers to exercise extreme caution when dealing with Accord Sales and Lettings. My experience with them has been deeply unprofessional and, in my view, demonstrates a lack of integrity and transparency. We had “an offer accepted” on a property. Following this, we acted in good faith, we proved our proof of funds (deposit) for AML checks, requested a second viewing as it was quite a long time since our first visit and hearing the acceptance of our offer, then paid the requested £60 fee, provided our solicitor’s details as requested, and began finalising our mortgage application based on the agreed offer. Shortly after, the estate agent informed us that another offer had been received from another intersted party similar to our position. The communication from their team was contradictory and confusing. One agent, Gary, suggested the other party/buyer viewed during the week (assuming the week we requested our second viewing), while another agent, Sarah, claimed they (the other buyer) viewed before us. It was impossible to get a straight or consistent story ! We were told that the seller would make a decision on a "fair basis." In an effort to be cooperative and demonstrate our commitment, we increased our offer by a further a considerable amount that can make a difference between both parties (buyer) being similar position, assuming with the "similar offer" as we had no clear clue of the other party (buyer) being "similar position" to us, pushing our "already accepted offer" little further. We were given a deadline, which passed. Despite our good-faith increase, we were eventually told the seller had chosen to go with the other party. When I questioned the logic of this, given we had an accepted offer, had paid fees, and had increased our bid, the responses from Gary were evasive and contradictory. At one point, he claimed that anyone can put in an offer until exchange of contracts, but when I asked if we could put in a further offer, he then stated they legally couldn’t accept it. The conversation was filled with illogical statements, and it was clear he was unable to justify the way we had been treated. We were left asking who lacked due diligence here, as we had proceeded entirely in good faith based on their initial acceptance. Not only have we lost this property, but we also lost valuable time and other opportunities such as other offers that we let go while dealing with this agency. It is disappointing to feel misled after being asked to pay fees and provide documentation in support of an accepted offer, only to have the rug pulled from under us with little explanation and inconsistent communication. Proceed with caution !!!!!

The team at Accord are fantastic and offered a great service to us from start to finish. On initial valuation Paul presented lots of research regarding house prices in the local area and trends in the market, and ultimately came up with an accurate valuation we was very happy with. He then organised an open day and sold our house in one day! After accepting the offer the whole team, especially Gary and Jamie were so helpful and always on hand to give advice along the journey. Sophie in the Sales Progression team chased where necessary and ensured the sale completed without hiccup. Overall we are very happy with Accord and would have no problems recommending to anyone looking to sell their house.

Nathan and Georgia have been nothing but brilliant throughout my letting process. The property came up for rent on the Friday, Georgia arranged me a viewing on the Saturday, and then I put in an offer and Nathan worked beyond his working hours all weekend to make sure my references and everything went through and he had everything he needed to secure me the property by Monday! Georgia went above and beyond and met be before he working day to allow me into the property to take measurements. It was then Georgia who met me on the move in day, went through anll paperwork and inventory super quick so I could move in . As a first time landlord I was recommended Accord by a friend. I walked into their office in Upminster where I was greeted by very friendly and knowledgeable agents, Who helped me with any questions or queries I had. That same day Nathan came out to view the property and by then end of the day I had an estimated valuation and booked in to have photos taken that same week. The photos were taken by Georgie who was very fast and professional with this and made the property look a true reflection on camera as it is in person. The property was listed with Accord for no longer than a week when we had viewings completed and negotiations with tenants. Accords selection process is very thorough and will make sure they find the right people for the right property. While getting the best price for both landlord and tenant. I cannot recommend Accord and especially Nathan enough and look to be a long term customer with them.
