I recently sold my house through Bychoice Estate Agents in Haverhill and I must say the service I received was outstanding. Matts knowledge of the local area was impressive and the valuation I received was spot on in my opinion. I was so impressed with the photo's taken of my house and just how professional they looked. Once on Rightmove Matt and Maddy were soon arranging viewings and in a very short time my house was sold. Throughout the sale of my property both Matt and Maddy kept me informed of all developments and was always making sure my sale ran smoothly. Anyone looking to sell or rent your home I would strongly recommend Bychoice Estate Agents, you won’t be disappointed.

We used ByChoice to sell our home and I’m SO glad we used them!! Start to finish they were amazing, their marketing was above and beyond. Matt was amazing at videoing our home to post on social media and the video looked so professional, we’ve never seen any other estate agents go to that level of effort with marketing! Matt got everything sorted for us so quickly. Their marketing strategy clearly works, as our house sold in just 2 days! Keeleigh and Jordan were also especially brilliant at updating us along the way too. Thank you for your hard work guys, it is very much appreciated from us ☺️ would recommend to everyone.

Haverhill Bychoice have been the Letting Agents for my property for the past year. Melanie, the Lettings Manager is always quick to act, efficient in whatever is required and very helpful with advice and suggestions. She has a team of local trades for any maintenance that arises at a reasonable cost, unlike my previous Agents who would get trades in from Cambridge or even as far as Peterborough so their charges were always higher. There are always challenges when letting out your property, but Melanie takes the stress and hassle out of it. I have used a few Lettings Agents and Melanie has been the most helpful of them all! Highly recommended.

***Response to the company - Yes, your Director did advise only after she was unable to answer all the failures we highlighted. I look forward to your complaints department investigating (hopefully with facts) and contacting me ASAP but since your employees fail to meet expectations they set I'm not convinced. I'll gladly amend my review once we conclude all the grievances*** If you are a landlord DO NOT USE THIS FIRM for your management. I'm a landlord and I asked for ByChoice to manage my property. In the time they have managed my property I have had 2 tenants and on both occasions ByChoice failed completely. First time I can understand but second time shows there is something fundamentally wrong with ByChoice. They take a management fee but I can assure you do not manage ANYTHING. Their quarterly inspection reports are an absolute joke - it is an email/document with a 1 word sentence advising that they visited and there is nothing to report. I can guarantee that they do not carry out any inspections as they have no idea what is going on at the property and the tenants do not see them. My first tenant decided not to pay rent and ByChoice didn't report this back to me until I reported it to them ----- apparently this is my fault and I should have reported earlier. Once the first tenant left, we obtained the next set of tenants as ByChoice was incapable of finding anyone and due to the experience of the first tenant as well as the fact I had no confidence in them actually inspecting my property I asked for photographic evidence which they AGREED TO. A year on and I have had no photographic evidence. When escalating the issue to the Director, Emma Turner, I was told that this again was my fault and we should have chased from the beginning which we had been via email so we have evidence of this. What tipped me over the edge is the fact that they started to use SCARE TACTICS with my tenant after I expressed my displeasure with their management. They told my tenant that I was going to raise the rent and also was looking to sell my property which left my tenant looking for a new home. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUSLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND MALICIOUS TO SAY THE LEAST! Emma Turner is the Director of this firm and honestly speaking is incapable and a disgrace to the Director title. Harsh as it seems she has no idea what is going on (I feel sorry for the inexperienced staff that work there as they are inexperienced/come across as they are inexperienced), unprofessional, doesn't return phone calls, doesn't stand by her commitments, doesn't stand by what her employees commit to, doesn't acknowledge failures even when there is evidence hitting her square in the face and worst of all, just fobs you off to the complaints department to avoid having to take any responsibility. Save yourselves the hassle and the management fee - I've definitely been paying for a non existent service for 2+ years.

Hi have only been with Bychoice since October 2019 but they have been excellent I cannot say a bad word about them, I have had a few house repairs required but are sorted straight away with no issues and Mel is fantastic and always there to help. When I have had to phone the office they are all very helpful and friendly I recommend Bychoice 100%. Defiantly contact them if your looking for a rental property.

My review of By Choice in Haverhill. From the first off dealing with Matt Letcher who in his professional manner gave us the best advice to market our home in the best possible way, he is a driven pro-active person who makes things happen. He knows his business and is very good at his job. He was not happy with some of his photographs so he came back and retook them on a sunny day, it’s the attention to detail that’s appreciated. You then move into the viewings with Keilee and Maddie - both answer the phone on the first ring, showing efficiency and professionalism once again, nothing too much trouble for these outstanding young people. They are really good role models for anyone joining the company to show them how it should be done. They know their business and it shows. Our move was a long and involved process but they stuck with it and I cannot praise them enough. Into the sale procedure, you meet with Becky and Abbie, once again the drive you need to achieve your goal is supported by these young people. If you ask them to chase things up or explain the situation they don’t hesitate to help you. It takes tenacity to sell a house, you cannot sit back and wait for it to happen you have to keep at it, By Choice do this. A summary of the estate agent By Choice. Friendly. Professional. Committed. This is probably the worst 'customer service' I have ever received from a company. Prior to listing my property with them, I had an email at least once a week, even telling me that they had buyers lined up. Since listing (a month ago), I have not had a SINGLE phone call or email from Matt or the team. And haven't had a single viewing either. Never even put up a 'For sale' board. Not the sort of service I'd expect from an estate agent and will be sure to recommend people use an alternative agency in Haverhill.

SUDBURY BRANCH. Avoid at all costs. Being a first timer buyer, no chain, we agreed to buy a bungalow for the asking price, the agent we were dealing with told us they would contact the owner and sort out the details but never got back to us.. Every time we rang for a update the agent we were dealing with (Olivia) was ‘out of the office’, but when I rang on a different phone number magically was in the office and answered the phone straight away. We were told there had been a higher offer placed on the property we had agreed to buy for the asking price, but magically the property is still on the market but they have raised the asking price a extra £20,000.. We had to constantly ring daily to try and even get a update on what was going on. On one phone call we were also told by another member of staff, a week after our original offer to buy the property for the asking price, our offer had not yet been given to buy seller (even though we had been told it had been submitted), I have since found out this is actually illegal. We were constantly misled with lies on who actually owned the property, one day it was a ‘trust’, then next it was a builder and a developer, then the next week a school.. We have since purchased a family home with another estate agent hassle free and months later have still not heard back from bychoice about our pending offer try to buy buying the property for the asking price. UPDATE: Since leaving this review on Google, bychoice have been calling me, leaving messages 'to clear things up', shame they didn't put in this much effort when trying to sell a property. At no point had we been told our offer had been declined. We were told 'we still cannot get a answer from the school, trust etc' until i checked the website and saw the property had gone up..

The service we received when purchasing our new home recently was excellent. Communication throughout the conveyancing process was made so much easier by having the continuity of a dedicated Sales Progessor, Becky, who was brilliant at chasing up all parties involved in the sale/purchase and liaising with the solicitors on both sides.
