We could not be more impressed with Strutt & Parker Haslemere. From viewings with Millie who was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable to the absolutely outstanding Paula Moore, our experience buying our home has been nothing short of a joy. In particular, Paula was absolutely wonderful in guiding us through the buying process and was indispensable when any bumps popped up along the way. She made the experience a true delight - and anyone who has purchased a home knows how rare that is! To describe Jen and her team at Strutt & Parker, Haslemere as exceptional throughout our sale process is a definite understatement. To our sudden decision to sell our beloved family home of nearly 25 years having found a house , Jen reacted quickly and arranged viewings ahead of our house hitting the open market . This action resulted in an early offer on our property and set the process into motion . Jen provided assistance every step of the way , whether it were to recommend lawyers and surveyors , or to offer reassuring words during the transaction process . She kept us informed throughout the process , always clear and calm , and was very proactive in anticipating any possible glitches . Paula too was thorough throughout, organising additional surveys or reacting efficiently to ad hoc requests during the process , always providing concise feedback . Nothing was ever too much trouble for the team. Aaron Turner at Strutt and Parker - excellent sales agent and negotiator

We don’t normally write reviews, but in this case, my wife and I were so impressed and happy with the service provided by Strutt and Parker, and in particular by Aaron Turner, that I felt I should, in the true spirit of reviews, to offer help to those who are seeking insight into Strutt and Parker! We selected Strutt and Parker because we liked the clear market insights and the realistic approach to marketing our house, offered by Aaron Turner at our initial meeting. Once selected Aaron Turner was directly responsible for acting on our sale, but he did so much more, working to coordinate agents and solicitors above and below us in the chain, as well as keeping communications open and frequent with our buyers even when things went temporarily wrong in the chain. Friendly, calm, sensible, frequent and reliable communication from Aaron, what more could be desired?

Best estate agent we have dealt with

We have just exchanged contracts on a house marketed by Strutt & Parker, and Aaron Turner has been a delight to work with. Although he was acting for the vendor, he invested more time and energy in keeping our purchase moving than our own estate agents did with our sales. He is calm, measured, experienced, and a great communicator. When my partner’s sale fell through and we had to pull out of the chain temporarily, Aaron was constructive and realistic about the steps needed to get things moving again quickly. Today we exchanged not only on our purchase, but also on the sales of both our properties, and Aaron has kept up momentum behind the scenes by proactively contacting all parties involved. Having experienced good, mediocre and poor estate agents in the past, Aaron, and by extension Strutt & Parker, stands out as the best we have dealt with.

Selling a house in a rising market is never especially difficult, for years it has largely been a seller’s market. But since 2023, the tables have turned. Stagnant wage growth, higher interest rates and the return to office life have all made selling a country home far more nuanced. It now requires real skill, patience and perseverance. Paula and Jen at Strutt & Parker’s Haslemere office embody all three, alongside exceptional account management. We endured two buyers withdrawing for reasons entirely unrelated to the house, enough to test anyone’s resolve. Yet every Monday morning, Paula would be back on the phone, energised, pragmatic and armed with fresh ideas. Her resilience and professionalism never wavered. Importantly, we chose not to list on the major portals such as Zoopla or Rightmove. Every viewing was therefore directly sourced through Strutt & Parker’s own CRM, drawing from their Haslemere office and wider network. As the clear local market leader, their database contains virtually every serious buyer in the area. In our experience, this meant viewings were purposeful and well qualified, rather than speculative portal traffic. Selling in this market is not straightforward. Exactly what I want from my Estate Agent. Paula really looks after the seller’s interests - as she should. Not all Agents seem to remember that. Paula and her colleagues - who obviously work well together) were quick in communicating after potential buyers had viewed our house. She was frank and honest about what the viewers thought. In particular when we got close to a tricky exchange of contracts (with an extremely unhelpful and apparently stupid buyer at the bottom of our chain) she did a fantastic job of keeping me updated and communicating with the various elements in the chain and putting just the right amount of pressure on where it was needed. Paula is a true professional and was an absolute pleasure and relief to work with at a difficult time.

I recently bought a property through Aaron and can't recommend him highly enough. This wasn't a simple transaction, and there were a few points where it could easily have stalled. Aaron stayed calm and professional throughout, kept everyone moving, and worked hard to find solutions which suited both sides. His communication was outstanding.
