I recently sold my house with Shaun Mcarthur, who I can't recommend enough. I primarily dealt with either him or Matthew, and both were amazing. If you're looking for an estate agent who are family based, go out of their way to help and genuinely make you feel at ease throughout the whole process, these are for you. There were no catchy sale gimmicks, just friendly people who try to make the sale process as easy as possible (and actually call you back if they're ever unavailable to take a call!) Thank you for all your help!

I will update as we go along but wanted to place this review for all those who find the whole estate agent selection confusing, stressful and overwhelming. It's easy to get bamboozled with different agents, over valuing, glossy brochures, contractual obligations, small print etc(.Also please be careful with Agents offering upfront, one off attractive fees- these folk over value your property to get your business- which won't sell your house though!) I opted for Mcarthurs because I needed this process to be stress free and EASY! I had no stress, plenty of input and an accurate valuation that I had already researched.I love that this company are locals and really knowledgeable about the area in which they sell. Shaun really looked after me and took all the BS out of this process Shaun and his team are awesome - highly recommended 👌

Had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with my deceased mums house. McArthur is a local agent, and I believe in using local businesses, so I contacted them regarding selling the property. A decision I was happy with. No silly staggered fees or additional costs depending on how long on the market. A straight forward set fee plus VAT, perfect! From the initial visit to completion they have been great and the house went under offer in less than a fortnight. couple of communication hiccups early doors hut nothing major. From the moment that Shaun walked into my late parents’ home to value it, my boyfriend and I knew he was the right estate agent to go with. From the beginning to the end, Shaun was friendly, honest, upfront and very respectful of the difficult time I was going through after losing my mother. As I live in London and couldn’t be at the house often, Shaun would go the extra mile to check on it, organise and supervise repairs after a leak was discovered and even returned to the property after the sale had taken place to collect some belongings that I left behind that had huge sentimental value. Fantastic service from Shawn and Matt, we were looking for a bungalow for a relative to move into, we were stuck between a house and a bungalow, but couldn't really find the one that suited. Left in a couple of months, then out the blue Shawn rings and advises a bungalow was coming on the market that he thought would suit. Have to say he was spot on, really glad they listened to what we required and also listened when shown properties of what we didn't. Would recommend them every day of the week. As always Solicitors take far too long to push these things through, but pushing from all sides got us over the line and the purchase all done, just a shame that the solicitors took so long that put us around 4 weeks behind, so Christmas was upon us before we could arrange bathrooms etc. All going ahead now, fingers crossed, should be in by beginning of Feb. After an horrific year trying to sell my property through Strike and their partner conveyancing team, I came across McArthur Estate Agency, who are a family run business and know the Doncaster area intimately. They are honest, friendly and approachable, passionate about their business and more importantly their clients. Their customer service hails back to a far gone, nostalgic era, when that term actually meant something and on that note, a particular thank you to Matthew, whom excelled in all aspects of his job. To checking in on me, keeping me posted of any developments and negotiating an excellent offer with my buyers. The process from marketing my property to acceptance of an offer, took around 5 weeks, an amazing feat, considering the state of the housing market, left in the wake of the mortgage crisis. I therefore highly recommend McArthur Estate Agency, whom combine traditional values and modern marketing techniques in providing a stress free, smooth service, interlaced with integrity and openness , sadly lacking within the corporate Estate Agencies and industry as a whole.

They say first impressions count and it certainly did from the very start.
